I did buy mine online from ASOS I think, they were an Australian brand called Ares. However Target have 100% linen clothes which I have a few sets of and have travelled in extensively which are affordable and excellent quality.
Thank very much for the info, very useful! Is the food vegan or vegetarian? I don't eat gluten and dairy, I'm a little bit worried about that😬... Around what time are you allowed to have showers?
The food is vegetarian. Tell them your dietary requirements and they may meet them. I eat low fodmap (which includes dairy free and wheat free plus a heap of other restrictions) and they accounted for me which I was really grateful for. They also accounted for others with dietary requirements even though in the application they said they wouldn’t. So definitely state it in your application and when you’re there. You will regret it if you don’t!. You can have showers in every break. I had showers as soon as we woke at 4am. But the break times are about two hours long so there’s plenty of time to shower and wash clothes. Or you can shower before bed which will be from 9pm onwards. I’ll do a timetable video soon.
Hi Thanks for the video - I think it will be helpful for my upcoming course. One question I wanted to ask, is how was the drinking water quality there - ie is it similar to Melbourne water?
Hi Henry, thanks for watching. Yes they supply water in the kitchen and the house has a water filter tap for drinking also. So definitely take your own bottle or thermos (they have thermos’ to borrow too) so you can refill. I even suggest taking your own teas or anything you like in your drinks. They do supply a lot of different teas also but if you have a preference take it! I would’ve taken hydrolyte if i had thought of it cuz it’s quite hot there plus we flew in from Melbourne so the flight dehydration + heat
@@alyssanga - Thanks for your reply. I completed my course nearly 2 weekends ago - best decision taken - it has been life changing for me. The water in the end was a non-isse 😀 - after tasting the filtered rainwater shortly after arrival, there was no more doubt. What surprised me in the end was how little water was needed. In the first few days I drank probably a couple of bottles worth. As the course progressed however, I found that only a few sips here and there between sessions was all I needed (as it was Late May/early June heat was not a problem)
Your zafu looks too full to me! No wonder it was too hard. You can often let out some of the buckwheat (to taste) in order to make it more comfortable.
Enjoy your Vipassana meditation course! Let me know if you have any questions on what to take.
Thank you, i needed a vudeo like this, just the details about practicle things!!!
Thanks for sharing. I'm going to the course in Clare in 10 days 🙂
Wonderful! Enjoy
Although I’m in the US this was super helpful for some info and tips. Thank you for making the video ❤🙏🏽
You’re welcome 😊glad it was helpful!
Thanks!!
Welcome!
Hi Alyssa was wondering if you know where I can get similar linen clothing that you used? Any particular brand?
