How much does guitar build quality matter?

I’m speaking in generalities and objective truth here: generally speaking, if you dish out premium dollars w a premium builder, you should expect a premium playing experience.
That said, we all know lemons can leave any factory, and gems can leave any factory.
And moreover, so much of it just boils down to personal preference, and that can come from something as simple as different neck dimensions, a different fingerboard radius, a different nut width, different body types etc. Sometimes, a more “premium guitar” just won’t feel right in someone’s hands.
And lastly, it truly is the golden age of budget guitars regardless! Although I notice a difference w my premium guitars, you definitely don’t need to spend premium pricing to have a great instrument.
