Simply put, MIDI files are like project bones for music. You don't just give these away. When you make music, you want to be unique. You don't want to be like anyone else and you don't want anyone else to be like you. That's music and it's difficulties.
In Black MIDI context, it's the same thing.

Yeah, it's like source code - Myhrazayn is right. MIDI files are essentially the PSD files of music. With it you can derive much of the source material (minus the SoundFont). Respective renders with a SoundFont would be like a .JPG render of the .PSD - irreversible.
