  • It was such an amazing Art Festival! Thank you so much for all of you who came and supported us and especially to Sheri, Dana, and Jenny for traveling so far. It was the best festival to date, and I believe a lot of that is a result of my setup. But before we get into that, come along with me as I show you how to make your own pottery price signs and business card holders.

Congrats on a great show! I'm glad the tip about the sharpie helped. Love, Love LOVE the sign! And great tips about the traffic flow, and the shelving. I may have to build something like that if and when I start doing shows.

Great tip. I used to use window cleaner on my white board markers when my students used permanent marker by mistake. Id forgotten about that! Well done on your sales!! I am so glad that you had a successful market, Here In Aussie land we cannot sell pottery unless it is as dirt cheap as the Chinese. It doesn't matter that it is handmade. Unfortunately folk here have a mind set that all pieces should be cheap. It was not always this way .
When I first went into pottery I could make a very good living from pottery, and I did.
My husband was able to look after the stall and he would ring me to let me know what he had sold and what I needed to replace. He unfortunately passed away and that was the end of my markets. I love your tutorials and the way that you talk to the camera as if you are talking to me.

I hope it turns around and people start to value pottery again. I'm sorry about your hubby. I think I'm so easy with the camera since I've always talked to myself. But it does feel like you guys are in the studio with me. It's magic.

Really nice video! The “price signs” made narrower would be great test tiles, too. Sometime, can you show how to roll a wide slab? My clay comes in rectangular bags and I have a hard time connecting the slices, even with scoring. I look forward to all your videos 😊

I love all the pottery you make. It inspires me to work at different project pieces I'd normally not try. I have a question about you stands you made with the 2 by 2's and the planks of wood. I'm trying to make some shelves for a market coming up. Can I ask the dimensions of the frame? I love that foldable style.
