    Wonderful video! Thank you! Could you do another one about how you painted the individual flowers and how you got that (turquoise) gradient effect on the interior of the other mug. Wishing your husband a full and speedy recovery.

    How inspiring! I'm typically a wheel thrower and don't have room for hand building, but you've given me ideas for some sprig molds. 🙂 Also, have you tried putting a flower sprig on the inside of the mug? That would be a great surprise at the bottom of the cup.
    I hope your hubby heals quickly. I've suffered from hives and it's no fun. Take care of that guy, and yourself too. You guys have had more than your share of health issues!

      Yes, we have! I'm ready for a break from medical. I have put surprise springs inside mugs, even along the side. Yes, I've made many sprigs from flowers. Mother Nature does it right and gives us potters a bevy of beauties to work into our pottery.

    If you don’t want the stems to cut into your clay so deep you can trim the stems lengthwise, before putting them on the clay. I love your creativity. Thank you.

    I love this idea and will make some templates using grape leaves, fig leaves, artichoke leaves and juniper leaves. Living in CA means I can grow grapes, figs and artichokes! I may find some CA Poppies to add as well for something more traditional. I found that artichoke leaves look like Christmas trees so they are for winter mugs.

    I’m so sorry to hear about your husband. I’ll have to go back a few videos and see what happened. I pray he gets well quickly. Loooove this!! I be never seen a quad pod mug! I adore the flower in the middle! I can’t wait to go hunting for some flowers to make a few of these slabs. This is probably not the best question but how exactly did you make the flower stamp? If you pressed the flower into the clay and then cut the shape out, how did you make the edges so soft and the handle? Thanks.

    • @hobblecreekpottery
      @hobblecreekpottery  Рік тому

      I did exactly what you thought I did. 😀 After pressing the flower in, I made a lug and attached it to the back. Silk flowers work great for making stamps too, as they hold up better than some more delicate flowers. My hubby was helping to weed flowerbeds, and somehow got a piece of metal stuck in his foot, which bloomed into a raging staff infection. He doing better after surgery and 4 days in the hospital. Thank you for the prayers. They are much appreciated.

  • @Alaineolier-zs5bd
