Those 98 to ... 2008???? Engines were brutal. You also hear it in the howl. My 98 had 142hp on the crank... Stock... Only with a slipon. That bike was no joke it kept up almost as well as most 1000cc bikes. Till those got upto 190bhp.
I like the older style of GSXR . I have 2001 GSXR 1000 and GSXR 750 . They are blue and white and have a four thousand miles on it . No modification at all . So clean look like they come straight from factory . My friend and we park our GSXR next to each other. He gets upset because women was freaking out on my GSXR . They was saying how beautiful it is .
Great to see a K4 get tuned. Shame you are a 9 hour flight away. My dyno is 9 minutes away but great to see the difference the change in secondary throttle plates makes. Im at 129 rwhp with stock ecu gsxr 1000 titanium headers custom power commander map and sprint filter. My tuner said ecu flash next and ditch power commander so cant wait. Scotlands drag strip still closed 😭😭😭
Hellyah i had an 05' just like it with a full yoshi pipe and 8" over bolt on extensions a k&n filter no power commander or ecu flash on 89 shell i went a 9.69@140mph on a good weather day in Texas, the bike weighed 375lbs with 1 gallon of gas ish on the scale so they are super light. And if i would have had this flash hell i might of went some 50s or 40s maybe hahaha with a damn 750. I surprised alot of people with that bike and made a few zx14s Busas and R1s sad. Hell it had well over 800 passes at the drag strip. So they are a VERY VERY VERY tough bikes and it threw down some impressive numbers for a 750 that i paid $1200 for!!!!
I got an 05 gsxr 750 and it does surprise me how well it keeps up with my 2015 zx10. With a good rider that 750 is all over the zx10 up until around 120 and then the zx10 starts pulling. I honestly like riding my Gsxr more then the Kawi
These 750s have made about the same power for quite some time now. One of my first sport bikes I’ve ever modified was an SRAD 750 which was a 99 and it made very similar power even back then.

Would like to see some late 80's and 90's carbureted bikes on the dyno. To see the difference in power and with the newer technology with fuel injection etc.. I think that would be a good video.
New tech>old school power wise. No comparison. My 91 gsxr 1340cc big block, epoxy ported big valve head, mikuni rs40s, dyna ignition, full yoshimura exhaust puts 170hp to tire on sunoco 112. I love old bikes for what they are, carburetor slides rattling, flames on decel, etc. but I'm no fool. The new bikes have astonishing performance with a warranty and pump gas.

I have a 2006 750 black and yellow. I'm going through cheap stator and rectifiers a lot! Anyway I'm on the fence of selling it/trading it in or selling and buying a Mt07.
