Hi Lizzie, Just wanted to say that you just blew my mind. 😂 I'm a French expat in Australia, and have been avidly looking at several of your videos that I found while preparing an upcoming long hike in the Blue Mountains near Sydney. I loved everything about your style of filming, your energy... And then, when I was searching for videos about French cities to show to my adult class of French learning students, UA-cam advised yours... which is the most beautiful hommage to my city I've seen on UA-cam yet! Because I lived in the centre of Orléans - one can even see my former house in your video, I won't say which one though: D This triggered a lot of nostalgia... I can literally recognise every single street or shop or remarkable house and could trace your itinerary on a map from memory 😂 Anyway, the combination of you guiding me in my upcoming trip to the Blue Mountains and showing me my former city in France was mind-blowing 😅❤
Merci beaucoup ! Vous êtes très gentil. Et, j'aime beaucoup Orléans ! C'est une de mes villes préférées en France. 🫶 Pourquoi es-tu allé en Australie ? Quelle randonnée prévoyez-vous dans les Blue Mountains ?
@@TravelwithLizzie Hi Lizzie, We moved to Melbourne as a whole family, for at least 3 years if not more, to follow my husband whose (French) company offered him the opportunity to be an expat in their Australian office. As for me, I'm working (100% remotely of course...) with my own French company while completing a Master's degree ;) In the Blue Mountains, I'll be doing the Grand Cliff Top Walk, over 2 days but adding a lot of detours (Wentworth Falls bottom, Valley of the Waters, the Infinity Pool in Leura Cascades, the Giant Stairway in the Three Sisters, and an afternoon in Scenic World), and also the Grand Canyon and Govetts Leap. Voilà, you know everything :D
That’s the plan! I walked the Frances from SJPDP back in 2014 and so excited to start in Paris for my next one on the Chemin de Compostelle (via Orléans) 🫶 Have you walked the camino before?
Perfect video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
Great video nicely done. I'm trying to decide between Orleans and dijon for my next trip. Merci!!
Merci! I may be a little biased… but I would definitely choose Orléans. I can’t wait to get back and spend more time there. Bon voyage ☺️
Unless you REALLY like mustard, Orleans is the right choice.
Venez à Orléans! L'histoire de ma ville est magnifique!
So lovely. On my list!
Can I come with you?!

Your Camio is several thousand miles. Are you starting in Paris and going to Comp de Santiago? It's on my bucket list.
