Sometimes....looking endless shelving of old nice leather-bound books with obscure titles or of just house budget/court/property records gets sorta boring as they start to all look the same and look like the fake contrived books on shelves at Brooks Brothers or other "shops"; motorcycle engines are all little masterpieces in their own right. Give them a good polish and lube and a diagram of the workings, and you will hold people's interest more! (Too bad the F-8 Crusader in the back yard looks grounded... would be fun to buzz the villages at supersonic speed... or buzz the English coast. Pretty Schweeeet ride)
I am an sviation enthusisast, you chateau is definetly worth visiting considering the incredible private collection of figting jets. The glimpse of the collection is too short, however, i can name some of them: RAF Lightning, Etendard, A7Cosair2, F8Crusader, Mig23, Mig19, Mig21etc etc etc😊
Very interesting how your dad molded this medieval castle to his lifestyle. I found fascinating the fact that your father was able to establish an airbase in the back yard. 😅 Very unique, certainly my kids would love the experience of visiting your property. Greetings from Texas! 🇺🇸
What a fantastic place!! Incredible. Tragic that some ignorant English vandal plundered such an historic house, but in an odd way, it has presented your family with a unique challenge and business opportunity to move the story of the chateau on, in a very special blend of historical periods and artifacts. I love the eccentricity of this collection. I hope the floor timbers can take the weight of those motorcycles!! 😂 Spectacular and let's hope it continues to grow and become a huge success. I would love to visit one day.
When I worked in Venezuela in the 1990s, one of our customers was their Air Force. I got to chatting with some of their officers, and I mentioned my interest in old aircraft. They said they had received 75 new, in-the-crate F-86 Sabres from the US back when the two countries collaborated. As the deal didn't include technical support, the Venezuelans only managed to get a couple of the Sabres to operate, and the rest were left in their shipping crates. They were later sold to an African country. for pennies on the pound.
Hello, Well done clearly you as a family have worked very hard, what a shame a fellow English man plundered the beautiful Chateau, one day I hope to visit as I can see your work is full of love for this beautiful place 🙏🙏🦋🦋
@@keithb6717 You are right. During an Open House on a military airfield near Munich the visitors were offered a dozen AlphaJets. Asking price: € 25,000 which was very cheap. Some years later the AlphaJets were bought by some Arab kingdom to be used by their Air Force.
Well they got them without the electronics and the jet turbines I have been there three days ago and have seen the collection the entire planes are just the body not bad but having them like that it is a way cheaper way to have a collection there’s is also an F16 of the Belgian air forces without motor you can see through the plane nevertheless it is ab amazing place on earth and it’s really recommended to pay a visit to this chateau
As an American, I am greatly relieved that is was an Englishman, not a Yank who was the villain who looted, plundered, and ransacked this lovely chateau. Nice not to be the heavy for a change.
I prefer Torre Loizaga in Spain and his Rolls-Royce collection, the most significant Rolls-Royce collections in the world,it contains 45 Rolls-Royce cars in three pavilions, in a total of 75 cars on display.

It's gratifying to know the owner of this historical building has found a way to sustain and preserve it for the next generation.
That would have been Christophe`s Father.
Very interesting use for this old chateau. I can imagine many people love to come see all the motorcycles and aircraft.

He's in the "DANGER ZONE"!!!!!!
They’re actually cheap when retired. Repairs would cost millions to return them to flying condition.

It started with Christophe`s Father who used to pilot Dassault Ouregans in the French Air Force.
This is very impressive, my respects from Russia

Well done! Thank you to your grand father!

You are an American from USA (seems) I am an American but from other COUNTRY. Think about that
😮😮😮😮😮😮
A real pity I did not know of the existence of this chateau when my wife and I toured the region during May 2024!
Brilliant video, thank you. Pity about the Englishman who looted the place, unfortunately such philistines are found in all cultures.
This old boy loves his toys..
Don't we all?

Is that a bike behind you sing from the clinging.
How far from Paris?
Let us see the aircraft please...
Ho many cost visit it?😊
They forgot to include the most interesting part.
Certo che gli aerei lasciati così all'aperto senza neanche una tettoia non dureranno ancora per molto
And in wich city of France is the chateau?
Savigny les Beaune is about 4 miles outside of Beaune.
