I first thought "umm, why?" ... 30 seconds in & I'm like 😮 "How freaking creative! 🙌 I applaud ur attn to detail, imaginative "repurposing"... especially the vertebrae drawer pulls 👍... And the 'piesta- resistance' is the A/C setup ( in my humble opinion sir). You "distressed" SO dam good. Truly artistic creation ❤!
This is brilliant! First, I'd paint the exterior drab olive to go with your theme. Your approach to this rig reminds me of the way stage sets are designed and executed. I love the metal countertops. I live in a small toy hauler, and one of my favorite things is a big metal commercial cookie sheet that I use to cover the stove top. It creates awesome added counter space. I am renovating, using a theatre set approach. I've left the ramp au natural, and also love the diamond plate at the bottom. You've done an amazing job with this ambulance. I like everything about it! Thanks for the tour!
Definitely a unique biild, I like it! It has everything you would need, storage, shower, toilet, heating and a/c. Thanks for sharing your creative build with us!
Love it, Wes! You are a talent! I like the idea of the exterior being similar to your cabinet - a drab, distressed olive perhaps with some additional features incorporated. I'm sure whatever you come up with will be fantastic. Love your work.
I love Ambulance to RV Conversions, however, I 100% disagree with putting the bed across the back doors from a Standpoint of Safety, in the event of a Fire in the back that would block exiting out through the side door. God forbid that should ever happen, it would greatly hamper one's effort of quickly getting out the back doors. I guess it's just the Firefighter in me, and how we were always taught to have at least 2 means of egress if something happened that required a rapid means of egress, if you need to climb over a bed, then reach down behind it to find the inside door handles, it's going to severely slow one down to get the doors open, and escape. I also disagree with completely gutting the entire rig to rebuild it. Common sense tells me if it's not broken, or causing any issues, leave it alone.
@@dianep3071 not if there is a fire up in the front of the box near the truck cab. That would prevent the ability to exit the side door, or cab, if the fire is in that area. That would only leave the rear doors as the means of exit, but if you need to climb over a bed, and then try to reach the rear door handles, that will greatly slow your exit down.
I’m building an ambulance out. The stock interior is extremely heavy, and it isn’t very optimized for living. The stock insulation is very poorly done in most cases, and leaving the original wiring is just asking for more issues down the line. So no, it’s not broken, but it’s far from optimal.
You need a really cool apocalyptic landscape scene painted around the outside. With the view different on each side, like you were giving a panoramic shot showing the tree line on one side and moving around to the city view on the other. Tell the story as they walk around the vehicle.
Amazing! As handsome as you Wes! Paint it to match those drawers.... and to blend into the environment.... go green baby.... and find some big bones to make door handles. LOL Great work and I am jealous of this rig!
The question of what colour to paint the outside ,the obvious answer is multi colours paint 2 or 3 different on as a base then sand then 3 or 4 other colours over then randomly sand the clear coat and you end up with perfection
Hey West big fan.. of course awesome & creative, I know you've tried to do this on a budget or just use a lot things you had but it's missing only one thing... one of 6" Ujoint 4wd upgrades.. it would put it over the top & you'd be able really get to some awesome back places... really admire you work & creativity & thank so much for always sharing.. Peace brother. 🙏 🇺🇸 ✌️
Nice build, I especially like the refer/freezer. I see all these people trying to build solar powered self-sufficient system's for boondocking and then stick an rv type upright refrigerator in them. the most efficient refer would be a chest type freezer with a modifies thermostat to keep it at proper temps. Eve4y time you open the door on an upright the cold air flows out the bottom and warm air comes in the top.

Crazy build! I think to continue that theme for the external color, 70s camo!!! Tans, black, brown, odgreen, money green. No gloss, just matte finish!
As a long time fan of The Walking Dead universe, I love your post apocalyptic/distressed decor. Great job.
It's the best interior I've seen, i don't like the skulls but love the technique

Loving the military drawer theme with vertebrae pulls, Wes. So unique!

I agree with the color.

really great transformed into a tiny home on wheels thank you.

Wes is absolutely one of the most creative human beings I’ve ever met! Super cool! Fantastic build! ❤
Wess is the most talented of us all. Congrats for this new achievement!
This is one of the best ambulance builds I have seen! Love the apocalyptic feel!

I too plan to build out a Rig; I’ve got a 2010 Chevy G3500. I’m looking forward to the build and really looking forward to using it more 😉
Awesome build! The outside would look nice in an olive green color or darker grey to go with your theme!
This Build is Epic . Way To Go . Love This Rig . C Ya Down The Road.....❤❤❤ God Bless U Always Safe Travels Always 🙏
Wow nice job buddy I like your twisted mind.weird stuff. Very cool awesome job WESS 🛠️🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦

I created it so that there is access to the rear door handle from the inside. I always think of safety as well!
He can go out the front , the side or back doors

I vote for this one 👍👋🇨🇦
Toxic green of course! 😊 🚑🚨🧪🦠🛢️
School bus or ambulance sounds like a good thing to convert to an RV. I might do both. Hmmm, decisions decisions 🤔
It's a good problem to have 😁
Yes. Army green is the only colour i can see it in 😊
Nice build and I love your t shirt! I ❤️ Maynard!
I. Love your tiny home
Distressed Rust with green flames
I think a pale, faded yellow or a muddy, rusty brown would look fun on the outside
Yep, even survivors of an apocalypse need 3ft of sock storage and a loo!
Great build- just nipping out to borrow someone's vertebrae
Sweet!!
Love the art and the theme!
Awesome, totally 💯

Great build
My OCD would go bonkers inside this rig. I’d want to scrub everything. 😂😂😂
I love the look it's super amazing
Ditto! I love the post apocalyptic vibe too! Well done, but an ac would be that lovely added feature the other apocalyptic nomads may not have, lol.
He's got one! Just not the rooftop kind.
Very creative! Great job of decorating!❤
Paint it Purple and Black Zebra lol love that pattern
DIG IT!!!!!
Great build Wes!
Wess!!! Love this guy!!!
Very cool Wes
What it looks like is,everything has mold growing on it.

Original for sure, I like it.👍
Puscifer! Apocalyptical van buddy!
How much weight did you add up to the ambulance. I am very impressed with your talents 👍🏾👍🏾
Happy Trails 🎉
JO JO IN VT 💞
Kevin, you did a great job on everything in your rig. Impressive! Exterior color? Maybe a light to medium solid gray color…..IMO.
paint it rusty! mad max esque!

🙏 🇺🇸 ✌️
I agree! Would be so cool with a lift!
love the radiation sign, being an ambulance, i have a biohazard sign :) made me chuckle anyway lol, not so much the family..
ha, you DO have a biohazard, great!
Paint 'er Rust Red.
Paint it a marbled black. But make it look beat up and apocalyptic.
This guy is so creative. And I love his rig.
go for camoflauge, it would match with the inside. you know with the whole survival thing?
Paint the outside camo..
Maybe some crossbones.
❤
Can u create " the shene" of gasoline ? ( my Drargon will be " gun metal " black.. ) ♡
Question: what fridge-freezer do you have?
I think he said Iceco
@@Vantwisted Thank you; I appreciate it 😉
🚑
Desert kaki, distressed.
Puscifer 🤟
Hey, hey. Text me the link to the cooling sheet, please. I might tent camp again at some point. Lol

Very manly home..
Camo
A post apocalyptic look is nice if your watching it in a video or movie but when you're living in it daily it drains the life out of your mood
color? matte sand
