Except, that a hell of a lot of the technology that made all of it possible came from ... governments. Companies like Apple are exceptional when it comes to applications. How to sell something to the masses. How to make it cheap and affordable. But when it comes to actually basic research, it's the government, public universities and investments by the public. Apple never really invented anything. All the technology they used was already there. The computer, the electronics behind it, the interfaces. Jobs managed to put it together in a package that could be sold succesfully, which was a genius move. But look at all the major infrastructure around you, the internet, space exploration, the electronic industry a lot of it came from government funding. And a hell of a lot came from military research. The whole Internet wouldn't be here without the ARPANET financed by the US Airforce. Without NASA and their research the whole industry around microelectronics would have never been created. The Manhattan project jumpstarted the nuclear industry. So many technologies today wouldn't exist without the government and not capitalism.
Yeah, a dude waxing poetic about manufacturing heaps of overpriced garbage in the third world to sell to spoiled rich kids in the west so they can consume brain melting content by the truckload with none of the productive capability of a computer. iPhones are stupid, Steve was just a sleazy salesman who pretended to be changing the world.
I’m watching this clip of Steve Jobs on my iPhone phone with air buds in my ears while wearing an Apple Watch, well played Steve. This dude made the knights to kings four chess moves before we even knew we were on his board
STEVE JOBS MANAGEMENT STYLE - He gets a great idea (from himself or someone else) with no idea of how to make it work. Then tells his team. Figure out how to make it work or you're fired. Even if you have to work 90 hours a week and live in the office.
This sentence is so weird, it broke my mind. What do you mean by "telling"? His job is to literally set the vision and make choices -- after he does that, he tells people what he decided. That is literally the job of a leader. Not many people have "founded Pixar Studios" as a side-project :D What do you actually expect someone like him to do? Someone whose skillset and job is to put right people together working on his vision. And secondly, where are those inventors how? Last invention worth mentioning Apple produced are M1 chips. God, you really broke my mind.
No, he gets credit to take a near bankrupt company and turn it into world's most valuable one in 15 years and along the way build such a great engineering, managerial and deisgn team actually that made products that changed the society and profited from that. Also the company he built stood the test of time and thrived even after he passed away and now's a trillion dollar behemoth
I've never heard free market capitalism explained better

No that’s just a bad manager
Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Apple and Tesla worse than any other religion
Says the guy who never worked with him or worked at Apple, just read some article on Internet or saw a video about him.
Sociopath who stole and leeched from everyone he could get his hands on
He built apple to a trillion dollar company.
you're watching this on a mac or iphone
Wow you couldn’t be more wrong
@@Matteblak Soyboy fanbois hate it when you denigrate a billionaire saleman.
If anyone of those people who created the technology had the vision, ruthlessness and market understanding that Jobs had - they’d be Bill Gates.
Man, people sure get mad when you mock nerd Jesus.
Hey it is the guy that gets credit for telling other people to invent stuff.
Way to have no idea how it works
@@sethdhanson Steve Jobs is a POS saleman. A F'ing salesman. Nothing else. What kind of POS denies the existence of his own daughter?
