In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - Комедії
Alex measuring the bubbles like a professional bubble evaluator will never not be funny
“Hi cheesecake” is such a cute way to greet someone.
everything about her is cute
I would have lost the ability to speak, she's so adorable
Google cheesecake art
The brief high she gets popping the bubble wrap is one of the great TM facial expressions.
The perfect woman
The bit where Russell's bubble pops before Alex has had time to measure it, because he didn't say please.... This will always be one of my favourite moments
The most Alex thing ever
Chewing Gum instead of Bubble Gum, while Alex keeps a straight face the whole time he's trying to blow the bubble. Next level. 👏👏👏👏
Up until now, I never knew there was a difference
"Thanks very much, I enjoyed that." Liza is just so pleasant. Love her.
I don't think Alex thought she was pleasant when she made him sit on that huge cake without pants on. 😂
@@elenawilliams32 Probably not. 😂 That’s one of my favorite taskmaster moments of all time! I just love how Liza runs away giggling!!
@@gail7384 I love that she thought of it in the first place. She's brilliantly wicked.
@@elenawilliams32 Indeed!
I don't know if anybody at Taskmaster reads these comments, but PLEASE (pretty please!) make a supercut of Alex using ridiculous units of measurement for things when describing how well or poorly contestants did. Or if there is one somebody knows of, please point me to it? I've been looking and can't find one.
I've asked for that several times. Still waiting.
Okay, now wondering how Alice was going to pop the "economic bubble" with her nose.
The task that broke poor old Tim "Fiddlesticks" Vine
Alice Levine looks so adorable and cute with the duct tape and neeedles on her nose trying to pop the bag
She looked like a cute little narwhal. Narwhalice Levine.
Looked like a fellatio-administering narwhal, absolutely gorgeous
I mean it's not like anyone else's bubble actually made an actual "pop" noise when they burst. They were just being obtuse with Levine.
Am i the only one who used to play on the shower making bubbles with your hands? If you are new to this, while on the shower after you clean your body, join the part of the hand between your index and your thumb of both hands(lets call it flipper for now on) and start to separate them. Your index must be always in touch, same as your thumbs. You will see a layer of soap on the gap. Blow carefully and join your "flippers" again, you will have a lovely bubble on the palm of your hand, blow it wherever you want. If you understood this and didnt knew it, sorry for my english and hope you found it usefull.....you know wich is your next task, your time starts now!
Being called Cheesecake by Alice Levine is a new life goal
I would have loved if there was a secret task (similar to the "If you eat any chocolate you lose 5 points" secret task) where if they popped any of the bubble wrap they'd be disqualified, or they would lose a point for every bit popped.
i was thinking this was going to happen!!!
Alex has said that for the first few series, he set a ‘pop the bubble wrap bubbles’ task, but the results were never entertaining enough to televise. 😅
If Alice Levine isn't perfectly charming then noone is
Why on EARTH was Tim using the SMALL end of the megaphone!! 🤦🏻♀️
It's old pointy nose, Alice Levine!
ofcourse 'old pointy nose' as alex called her, won this task ;).
"Literally never said that!" Alice Levine
It wasn't "blow the biggest bubble" it was make the biggest bubble. Entirely different things and they changed it halfway through..
THIS WHOLE SHOW IS A LIE! BURN IT DOWN!
Also a bubble is made by liquid, not plastic
@@Duckbait The envelope was covered in plastic bubble wrap.
@@northbank7198 that doesnt change the definition of a bubble
It doesn't change that particular definition of bubble, it uses a different definition.
9:19 I feel like this is just Alex's sweet, sweet, revenge for treating him like that 😂 knowing all along he'd fail hahaha
It’s very revealing which contestants he’ll try and nudge in the correct direction and which he won’t. 😅
Alice made a balloon, not a bubble
but it was cute :)
6:38 "pop".... No the task was to "burst" it not to "pop" it. That's moving the goalposts.
But did it burst or did it pfffft 🤷♂️
Ah, well noticed!
They do this sort of thing all the time... but if you play this game you know the rules are capricious and edited for entertainment... pretty sure they all get paid win or lose
The gum was a little unsettling
it was so awful. Why did they focus on it so much? ugh I had to cover the screen with my hands it was disgusting. RH is an total idiot along with whoever edited this
I love how Alice's mind works.
We've been making the most gigantic bubbles with 2 sticks and a rope circle in between. Excellent meter+ long bubbles
Can you explain the rope circle please?
@@samc2 It's a product I purchased for spring fun. Two plastic stick joined by a shorter cord on top and a longer cord that drapes down in a circular shape. Dip entire string into bubble solution and then lift out and spread your arms. Then simply move your arms, and air will extend the bubble. Use a stronger concentration of bubble solution for best effect. Very fun, children were delighted, made the biggest bubbles I have ever personally seen. Google search 'Make Giant Bubbles', and you're sure to find the product.
People in the park doing the rope thing seem to have a good time. Fun to watch
That’s pretty cool I would’ve just run around hoping there was a hula hoop available lol
Liza Tarbuck is such a delight. "Thank you, I enjoyed that".
OMG I love Alice ..she has such a simple mind lol...
I would love to go on this show. There are plenty of interesting tasks to solve.
Alice laughing as she realises its "not the dramatic moment she had wished for" ❤😂
Alice was such an interesting contestant
Ol' Pointynose herself
Could they not do this task outside? I have literally made bubbles that are several feet wide. With string tied in a triangle between two poles.
A task wrapped in tension sheet, huh?
(See Red Dwarf for the reference)
It's all about the bubble formula
she deadass said "hi cheesecake" as im eating cheesecake😂
It’s “old pointy nose” Alice Levine!
So are balloons bubbles too then 🤔
I have a recurring nightmare that I've put too much bubblegum in my mouth and when I try to remove it the gum stretches out in strands and I can't breathe
The 2008 housing bubble was bigger
Just want to say... that is bubble gum.
By weird coincidence I've just watched the Swedish version of this task.
Oh? Is a sweedish version of the show being produced, too? That's cool! What's the title?
@@eavening4149 it's called "Bäst i test" 😊
There is an Australian version also.
What series was that? 3? Älskar Clara Henry
@@DragOnDani01 Yes. Off hand I am not sure which episode but approximately 5.
any news on a new season?
I never thought about it before, but I don't actually remember any Brit saying, "son of a bitch". It's extremely common here in the States.
I used to make bubbles while bathing, so this would be really easy for me cause I made giant ones
Wasn't a bubble! And she didn't pop it!
How can a grown man not know how to mix water and soap?
Brian limmy Limond needs to be on the next season
Alice is definitely my favorite person from this season. Alex is the GOAT, but holy fuck, Alice is hilarious.
The task said ”make” the biggest bubble, not ”blow”.
How do I sell Taskmaster to my ESL, big productions on streaming services consuming friends?
"Well yeah, Breaking Bad was pretty good, but what about comedians and TV personalities with various accents doing dumb shit around a small house in London?"
They're esl? Is there a case to be made that taskmaster is a valuable cultural insight? 🤣 good luck... the only thing funnier than laugh at taskmaster is sharing the giggles.
@@katherinepettus5132 also some series of it might help with understanding English spoken in various regional accents?
German here. The appeal is hard to explain. I've begun to simply send people the "iconic Taskmaster moments" video on UA-cam.
8:10 Do you want me to measure that?
What I would have done is worked on making bubbles, but while I did just really complimenting Alex, just really letting him know how much I liked him and what a good job I thought he was doing. Then with 30 seconds left I’d say, “Hey Alex, you know what I really truly think of you?” Then I’d pinch my nose with one hand, and wave the other hand in front of it, and maybe gag a little. My true challenge attempt being inflating Alex’s bubbles, and bursting it with my nose.
Nice idea! I found myself wondering how quickly one could do a bunch of day trading to inflate a segment of the stock market and then press "sell" on their smartphone with their nose.
I always took it as Greg was going to be mean spirited to Alice & not award her the 5 points, ah well
1:13 Interesting editing error where hosts and contestants seem to be playing out of sync with each other. Greg's head pops out of nowhere and then disappears briefly when he leans forward.
Musk posted a pic of his nose and the stock market bubble popped
Whenever I see Alice Levine, I think wow, Alice Levine is really beautiful
You probably haven't seen sian gibson then
@@MisterSolitude She's got nothing on Alice.
@@MisterSolitude now I have to look and see who she is.
@@MisterSolitude I accidently googled Asian gibson
there is nothing wrong with alice's nose alex
):30 wow i thought she had really hairy arms!!!!! omg lol
i sometimes dream of becoming a candidate myself...
no!
for the record, air expands and that is not the best way to blow up a trash bag. Hold it away from your face and blow into it to instantly fill it with air that has expanded in volume lol
The ytF
a bubble is defined as a gass surrounded/trapped in liquid. bubblewrap is not a bubble. a balloon is not a bubble. a plastic bag of air is not a bubble.
Plenty of definitions of bubbles include the idea that it can be a sphere or pocket of air trapped in a solid, and this is reflected in common use of the word. The first definition you find on Google is not the single ultimate correct definition
@@CryptP it wasn't the first I found on Google lol. It's the physics definition. And the Merriam-Webster definition.
@@FriendlyNeighborhoodBallsack "the physics definition" lmao
Again, there isn't a single definition. It's open to interpretation, language works that way. Merriam Webster doesn't even list one single definition. Literally going "the dictionary says this and anything else is wrong" is such a boring use of the english language. While it's an unconventional use, I'd say that a pocket of air trapped in a bin bag could be argued to be a bubble, especially if they're counting the bubbles in bubble wrap and bubblegum.
@@CryptP talking about a physical object and phenomenon, I would say that definition is pretty sufficient. Didn't say it was the only correct one, but IMO a plastic bag of air is not a bubble. It's a plastic bag of air. Ironic how you are trying to force your definitions on me when saying that trying to force definitions is wrong and boring lol. I only stuck with what the Merriam Webster and physics definition was. That's two sources that agree with me. You don't have to. Idc frankly. But I'll stick with mine.
@@FriendlyNeighborhoodBallsack I'm not saying that a plastic bin bag of air definitely does or doesn't count as a bubble.
I'm just saying that you acting like your opinion and definition is the one correct one is stupid. It's open to interpretation, but your initial comment just states shit as facts.
It was burst and not pop... So yeah burst means air is coming out. .. it did
"Make the biggest.." he did make it wasnt "Blow the biggest"
who even chews chewing gum in that amount?
Was this the first time Tim cursed? 🤣
No way. An inflated plastic bag is not a bubble, neither is a balloon a bubble. Boo!(-ble)
Bubble needs to be able to pop. Otherwise there's literally no skill, thinking, upper limit, or even luck involved. Just get the biggest tarp/blanket/cloth you can and make any kind of hole in it. Liza should've gotten the 5 points because that was awesome- and an actual bubble- especially for all the times Greg has been a pedantic a-hole about contestants not really doing the thing (which I find hilarious and endearing, I just think he should do that consistently : p)
It's a comedy show first and foremost, so the explanations matter a LOT. If a contestant can explain really well how what they're doing is technically within the rules they'll be waaaay more likely to get away with bending the rules
god damn she is cute
I thought Alice Levine was going to start shilling NTFs.
Alice is lovely, but sorry, pinching a hole in a plastic bag with needles attached to your face is not the same as bursting a bubble with your nose
Alice is so cute here that it's literally inhuman to show this task on TV! My expectations for my future girlfriend are now so sky-high that I wouldn't probably be able to find one!
Yea for real ... she's just Divine
Thats just impossible in my lifetime...
_(But i can hope for her good tho)_
Why
Because
When
Why not
Because Life's a piece of shit
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughin' as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you
And Always look on the bright side of life
For whom?
Stop putting clips from the middle of the task in at the start of your video. It ruins the video for people that know it's UA-cam and not tiktok.
