Yeah as much as they want to make it similar to the broadcast, you are also playing as the player(s). Should be a shot of them storming out of the dressing room and to the ice.
False advertising to sell presentation as a major feature, when full presentation is taken out of the game. How can you say you improved so much for presentation, and there’s actually nothing of substance, forcing players to only have condensed presentation.
I think its all cool stuff. One thing I think could make the facial customization better is face morphing and access to everything else already in the game that goes with face customization. It will make it easier for players to make a unique face so devs don't have to keep spending time adding new ones to an already sort of overwhelming amount of faces.
I love these changes but as someone who spends alot of time on franchise mode id love to see instead of when you complete it "franchise mode complete" instead id like to actually see an overview of your career like an actuall cool presentation

Wow, I am honestly very impressed with these features they are adding to side of the game! A huge improvement in years past, which was needed! I'm sure they gameplay will be roughly the same as 22 with some improvements but pretty impressed with this and really looking forward to playing this year's title!

The black and yellow seats were removed and the jumbotron was replaced at the TD Garden in the beginning of 2019. You get a pass on missing that in 20 and 21. But this is for 23. Don't call it the arena when it looks nothing like how it does now.

Yeah all this is great except for the fact that they've done nothing for us into City sake like what about honoring no trade Clauses and no movement clauses and like they had an NHL 04 being able to call up your player or players asking for a trade for different reasons of course you could talk them out of it but there's so many things that they could have done instead of some of this for franchise mode
The metallic equipment selling point is hilarious. They literally just turned up the metallic value on their shaders for these types of equipment. This change took lass than a minute.
It’s something subtle but I think they should give you the ability to customize your stick colors to match your team, like if you’re playing for the leafs you can make your hyperlite blue like some players have and vice versa with other teams and color ways. Same thing with skates.

There was no national anthem before that was only for national team in 14. The fans engagement started in 15 but was not really that customizable. Projection on ice was not that great in NHL14 just the basic with team logo. But now they can change to be like your watching a game at the arena. The only thing they need to added is change like your watching at home. The TV intro like what they used to do with NBC. Since they partner with sportnet commentator why not get sportnet as a partnership to put their tv intro

These are all very welcome changes. Gameplay changes are important, but so are these presentation changes. It helps put you in the game, and will really be great for it all. Hoping to see those customization options in franchise and create a team as well, not just EASHL.
As someone who hasn't played a proper NHL since 17-18 I feel like the features added are the equivilent to a map rework and couple of skins for any other game.

Women Representation is so big and important and incredible you guys are finally bringing it more into the video game world. Edit: I know this would be hard but kinda like how NBA 23 has you walk out of the Dressing room tunnel, that would be cool for the next Hockey series, shoot some warmup pucks and then after a little timer it will cut to the anthem endings like you mentioned. Just a suggestion for something to make the player feel more alive in the game on top of what you've added and done!

You should get MINIMUM every 3 years to produce a game with significant improvements, while maintaining the current game until the end of life. You can add fancy animations, and some presentation additions but really the gameplay is merely more than a gameplay adjustment. Like the ones that come throughout the year, they tweak the sliders for online competitive play. That's all the new game really is. I played it for almost a week.

Yes we need accurate goal songs and horns. I get that some are copyrighted which I understand, but I have seen you tubers recreate the goal horn exactly like elite goal horns or famous goal horns. We need better crowd chants because the crowd doesn’t feel like a real crowd. For example and oilers crowd in the playoffs is really loud irl but in game it’s no different then Arizona scoring a goal down 20 goals

Something I really liked about NHL 10 was the pre game presentation and the post game presentation, glad to see that getting some attention in NHL 23!

Need better crowd sounds and goal horns/songs
Get rid of the annoying Siren that goes off for 2 minutes after a goal is scored for a few teams. It ruins the goal horn
Yes we need accurate goal songs and horns. I get that some are copyrighted which I understand, but I have seen you tubers recreate the goal horn exactly like elite goal horns or famous goal horns. We need better crowd chants because the crowd doesn’t feel like a real crowd. For example and oilers crowd in the playoffs is really loud irl but in game it’s no different then Arizona scoring a goal down 20 goals
@@owenposer6720 The Go Flames Go chant is way louder in NHL 14 compared to 22 even. 23 needs to step it up.
