Are those real Gretch filtertrons or aftermarket I just took a electromatic back to the guitar store because the filter trons sounded so horrible I have a Gretch with broadtrons I love and one with TV Jones they both sound great I'm not a fan of the filtertrons
@@StamatisStabos your lucky they weren't real filtertrons they sound absolutely horrible unless there 1960s I mean real bad I have squires that sound better great video 👍
Very nice.I just bought a 2020 Bullet Mustang also in black and was wondering what a black pick gaurd would look like .I 've seen carbon fibre look in black for my Jaguar that might look good if I can get a Mustang version .I'm fittig black locking tuners and string trees but pick ups and bridge seem fine so I'll leave them now ,Luckily my fret board is darker but even so I gave it a coat of Monty's Montypresso Relic wax to darken it and bring out the grain like I do to all my guitars and might work well on yours .If mot India ink will def work and wont stain your nut or come off on your hands either
Great video, I'm looking for Squire Sonic Mustang HH upgrades. Stock ceramic humbuckers pretty good now set up properly but love the P90 sound. Then stumbled across the Gretch alternative Filter'Trons. Which do you prefer and why please? P90 or FilterTron? I'm chasing more high end for finger picking with a touch of warm fuzz that comes with single coil pups. Alternative again is AC2 57 PAF style pups, which don't need pickguard filing. Any advice most appreciated. Guitar looks fantastic BTW! Thanks.
Hi Robert and thanks, I prefer the Filtertron more because are between humbucker and single coil and are more versatile, the ceramic are single coil and sound thin and jungly, the Filtertron are perfect for picking ckeck out the master of finger picking Chet Atkins he uses a big Gretsch with Filtertron pickups
Χρησιμο βιντεο, καθως μολις αγορασα 2 filtertrons για να αντικαταστησω τους humbuckers σε μια jazzmaster! Ηθελα να ρωτησω, αν υπαρχει καποιος αλλος τροπος να διαπλατυνω τις θεσεις που θα μπουν οι μαγνητες, χωρις ρασπες κλπ...Επισης, μηπως δοκιμασες τους μαγνητες με overdrive ή fuzz? Ευχαριστω!
Ψάξε στο AliExpress Jazzmaster pickguard μπορεί να ταιριάζει κάποια αν και δύσκολα γιατί έχουν περίεργο σχήμα οι Filtertron, πάρε ένα φτηνό από αυτά που κάνουν πεντικιούρ μπορείς να το φας λίγο λίγο αν δεν έχεις αλλά εργαλεία έχει στο TEMU και AliExpress, ναι έχω δοκιμάσει είναι κάτι ανάμεσα σε single coil και humbucker ακούγετε καλά είναι βερσεταιλ που λένε και στο χωριό μου 😊
@@saturnskull1242 δοκίμασε μόνο χαρτόνι ανάλογα το ύψος μπορεί να θέλει μόνο ένα, και για ποιο σταθερά κόψε και βάλε κάτω από κάθε μαγνήτη σφουγγάρακια

Hi! I just don't understand how do you fix the filter tron screws on the guitar.
I put a wooden plate for the height in the bottom and drill the screws, to test it's i tried first with two cardboards

@@StamatisStabos Ευχαριστω! Με προβληματισε λιγο το κομματι ξυλου που βιδωσες πανω τους μαγνητες, πρεπει να αυτοσχεδιασω εδω...

Nice job Σταμάτη! The only i didnt like is that you have to trim the pickgurd to fit the pickup. The new pups sounds great!

idk why but gretsch pickup in a non gretsch guitar make's the guitar looks robotic
