The original Modern Warfare 2 is an impeccably designed game that outshines its remastered counterpart in every aspect. The remaster, in fact, is a step back rather than a step forward. In contemporary gaming, it seems that games made decades ago often offer more content and superior gameplay than those produced today, with graphics being the only exception. The state of gaming has become so dire that, despite owning a top-tier gaming rig, I find myself playing games that were released 10 to 20 years ago. These older games, with a few exceptions, are still better than the majority of new releases in terms of gameplay and content. It is disheartening to see the abundance of bugs, cut content being sold as DLC, and microtransactions that have infiltrated modern gaming. I am simply fed up with it all.
It sure feels like that right, the big fatigue that’s going on for years now. The same with movies where its safer to cash in on nostalgia reboots (Disney cough) than develop something controversial and inspiring. Graphics hold up pretty well since the ps3/360 era so you can pick out all the gems gameplay wise and oh boy did i miss out on some great games back then even going back to ps2 with emulators is viable now. So many great old games to enjoy and let the new shiny things rot on the shelf as a statement.
I think you mean 2022 reboot and not the remaster. The remastered version is from 2020 and is identical to the OG except with improved graphics and 60 fps on consoles.
@@lornemacarthur4304 No, I mean the original one from 2007. If you don't agree with me, that's fine. We both have different experiences, and I'm speaking from my own, not yours.
@@TheRealSpeedWolf I think you misunderstood, I know you mean the 2009 version. But I think you are confusing the 2020 remaster (identical to the 2009 version but with better lighting and graphics) with the 2022 reboot (completely different game). In other words, you meant to say that the 2009 one is better than the 2022 reboot, not the 2020 remaster. Just trying to clarify since the 2020 remaster is pristine and everyone should go for that version if they have the opportunity
@@lornemacarthur4304 How can I be referring to the 2022 reboot when the review is about the remastered version? The two have completely different narratives and the confusion is rather perplexing. However, I will clarify that I am specifically referring to the 2009 original and its remastered version, not the reboot, and I play on PC. The multiplayer in the original and the remastered versions are not the same and have no relation to the reboot. In the original, you can still play co-op which is not available in the remastered version of CODMW2. Thus, I am unsure of how there could be any confusion.
The absolute best COD ever made. I mean you can say that it’s successors had nicer graphics and fancier effects along with new gameplay mechanics, and you will be right. But this one.. the devs just got EVERYTHING about the game right. The story, the setting, the locations, epic events and solid gameplay made it legendary. And oh god, the multiplayer.. I’ve spent so many hours playing it with my friends.. Good times man
MW2 was possibly the peak “fun” of the series. Not my favorite game; the story just became absolutely absurd (airport mission was there for shock value alone, it created numerous plotholes) and the multiplayer was BROKEN but boy everything about this game was just FUN.
I loved MW2. I thought the campaign was pretty good, I remember being pretty invested in it all. The online was a blast, it was actually one of the first games I ever played online. I've played a lot of the other CoD games, and enjoyed a lot of them, but nothing has matched how much fun MW2 was, running around with a Scar-H and M1014. I always wonder why MW2 maps almost never return in later games like a lot of other maps do.
I just want to say. While gamers from the US find the mission with russian attacking the neighborhood amazing people from outside generally cringe at "defending burger king" level
This game defined gaming history on consoles and pc. Man o man how I wish I could go back to these times, much easier times back then.
I remember playing this near release. It was insane how many people got this.
New videos from you are always a highlight of my Friday!

After all these years, MW2 is still the 🐐. The 2020 remastered campaign makes it even better.
I could listen to you talk for hours. Especially about a Classic such as MW2.
Install the IW4 mod to safely play online. They're are exploits that allow hackers to remotely control your PC. The mod also has bonus content too!
MW2 was a trip the first time i comoleted it, and man i wish i could play it all over again, even if i never touched the multiplayer at all

Keep in mind, the older games, especially games like MW2 '09 and Black Ops, are infested with RCE exploits, very nasty stuff if it effects you.
Daaaaam!! 18 minutesh! Im all in for da ride!
I look forward to the black ops review

The better MW TWO!
11:28 "the game doesn't include multiplayer."
11:55 "as of this video the multiplayer is still active!"
😂

This game is a masterpiece
Chaos
TANGO SUCKA!!

The was nothing cringe about that level, definitely not more than in other levels in the game.
No mention of how the multiplayer on PC has severe RCE exploits? Ok then.
