I always thought that too. But Steve Perry just isn’t going to return. This singer though seems so likeable. I saw Journey in 1986. I was disappointed then that there was no Steve Smith or Ross Valory. I just so happened to catch Journey at the NFL HOF Game performance and it felt so good to hear their music live again despite no Steve Perry. I wanted to enjoy their music live one more time. We are at the point of last-go-arounds with many of these bands. It’s what’s left of them. It’s sad. What’s worse is the ticket prices! I never pay more than face though. Thanks for watching!
I feel ya! But that's BS! Journeys music is pretty timeless and still out there today. Steve was great but the pipes are gone . He is my fav of all time. The fact his music rolls on is what great about this!
@EdStyer You still stuck to Perry's 80's Journey performances. What made you think Perry's return this time that it would be the same performance and energy as it was 40 + years ago? And i have been hearing that "There is NO Journey...without Steve Perry!" for decades but the band still rocks.
I saw Bon Jovi without Sambora and didn't miss much of anything so saying one guy makes the band is like saying no dressing on a salad automatically makes it a bad salad.
