puppy blues is when you get your puppy and you feel a bit depressed because your life will never be the same again with a dog, you feel regret and you feel very bad about it because you really wanted a puppy. I felt it with my dachshund. but he has been with us for a year and the puppy blues only lasted a month. I feel no regret about him now, he is the best thing in the world!

I’m so nervous, we have cats.. and I’ve always wanted a dog my entire life. We paid for a mini Doxie and she’s due end of this mo th so ina. Few months I’ll get her, but I am so nervous. But I know the puppy stage is temporary but damn it was good to read your comment😊

I’m getting my mini dachshund in a week now and have been concerned with being in the middle of the night and her having to pee because I’ll be living in a two floored apartment with not ample time to get to ground or grass. I was curious where you got that little strip of grass that you have out on your balcony

Mochi is cute!! I have 2 doxies as well and they're great dogs. Just be careful with them jumping on and off furniture...I got a ramp (large wedge pillow) for the couch and mine love it. It helps their backs tremendously :)

my sister just got herself a very similar doxie like Mochi after one of her dogs passed away. A 2-month-old cream hairy miniature doxi and her name is Luna. The cuteness is almost too much to bare.

@@tia3883 yes, but that’s not the right pronunciation. I’m genuinely not trying to be like “please pronounce it with a German accent”, but the same way that everything has a correct way to say it (accents aside), like a city, a country, a dish… whatever. Dog breeds also have a correct way to say it. You can obviously continue saying it whichever way you want, I’m not gonna call the police! Haha. Just thought maybe she didn’t know :) have a nice weekend.

Hello Rhea! I'm so sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to you. Getting a puppy is a great idea as having a tiny companion that depends on you may help you maintain some healthy habits during this difficult time - exercising/walking, sleeping/waking up at correct times, interacting with others during the puppies' socialization months etc... Perhaps you can look into some support networks/ groups to help you process your grief. Wishing you all the best!
