Big thumbs up from me. Me and my brother went out and bought one each and it's our first truck with a dual servo set up. This was very useful information and I appreciate you sharing. I'll be looking in to mine and sending my brother a link to this video. 👍👍
This video couldn't be any better. I immediately got my revo and changed it. Thank you for saving me some $$$ in a month when the servos would have died :)
What you have shown is exactly why I suspect so many people are having servos fry on their E-Revos! I have one on the way, and I was planning to check out if they are doing just what you have shown. Thanks for posting this and confirming my theory! Excellent video!!!
Thank you! I did this to mine before the first run, saw the same thing - you could hear them fighting each other. 10 minutes of adjusting and they are perfectly matched!
Man, you are SO right, I bought mine yesterday and did the same thing. Mine was so far off, I had to clock one of my servo horns clockwise one spline. When I first turned it on, I could definitively hear the whine of the servos fighting each other before I fixed it. With one servo saver clocked and linkage adjustments, the wheels and bellcrank are dead straight and no fighting.
Such an important thing to know! this is exactly why everyone complains about stock servos; but really only the steering armature was all that needs adjusted! Great tip!
Appreciate you making this video. I'm going to buy one pretty soon , if anything else comes up please drop another video to let us know what you found or other tips. Thanks
I hear they fight against one another and burnout over time. Some ppl just go to a single. Mine is in the mail so I’m so glad I came across this. Thank you.
awesome video!!!!! I am going to buy a e revo and i have watched a lot of videos of them saying that this is one of the main issues and i think this will fix it!!!! again awesome video!!!
God dammit missed this vid both servos are wrecked grrr and it’s not turning on now either . Got work to do on it now and Ive smashed the piggy bank for it . Thanks for the information will make sure I get woke on this truck from now on 👊🏿
Nice video very helpful, I just got mine yesterday and I looked and it was the same way I did exactly what you did and it all lines up nice and flush , maybe during assembly they rushed the process this might be a quality control issue and a lack of inspections at the factory, just a hunch.
Just got my E REVO a couple days ago and been ripping on it and gearing it down! Saw this and sure enough when I pulled that screw the tie rod was out of line. I adjusted it and now the servos don’t make that humming in the neutral position. Thanks for this video! Hoping this will help my servos last a long time!
I don't do electric cars but it's good to know on these rtr cars that I need to check and see if the servos have any stress on them because they are not set right from the factory!
Thank you so much get a stronger core the servo guy says thanks for sharing man because I was wondering why my $700 E Revo was a hunk of shit straight out of the box now I know too bad I don’t know beforehand or see your video I would’ve saved myself some money along with the $215 in upgrades making it a $900 RC car that’s been torn apart more than it’s been enjoyed.. It’s quality control Traxxas seems to lack a bit and then you have your snooty RC enthusiast that well never mind I appreciate you showing that you just prove my point all they care about selling parts more than quality because if it was quality it wouldn’t have come to you like that nor my E Revo to me the way it did
Amazing! I just bought an E-Revo 2.0 and out of the box, before any runs-my servo linkage looked exactly like yours. The passenger side turnbuckle was uneven as well. Took about 10 min adjusting everything and its dead on. You'd think Traxxas would sort this out before shipping. They must be getting tired of fielding calls and sending out replacement servos!
Would have been nice if you would have showed us how you were able to adjust the trim on a single servo! Aren’t they both plugged in with a y splitter to channel one? I can’t remember how it’s set up, but I didn’t think the steering servos were on separate channels, correct? Thanks for the vid 👍
After you remove the screw, how do you also the servos do they line up? I heard some being noise but you didn't show in the video how you were adjusting it. Thanks in advance for your response to my question.
Sorry for the newbie question but could you adjust each servo independently with the Traxxas bluetooth module? I haven't got one yet but I am waiting on a delivery of one and was curious after watching this video if it was possible to do what you did with that or if I'd need to adjust the bolts. Awesome video, very helpful as I can see mine are slightly off so will need to adjust them
I got a used e revo 2.0 and it came with a bunch of aluminum upgrades and I’m not to sure if I’m going to keep all of it on because it’s a little sluggish and heavy to carry around. But I’m coming here to see if I need to watch out for anything
Why not remove the horn off of the servo and move one or two splines? I don't have a higher end Tx, but isn't your servo throw going to be offset, meaning one will hit the stop sooner, and then fight each other anyways? The servo you disconnected in theory should reach it's stop sooner, and the other side will fight to push it. I'd move a spline or adjust the linkage.
You can do it anyway you want to, as long as the servos work in unison rather than against each other. You may still end up adjusting the turnbuckle. 25 tooth servos never seem to give you that happy medium. Always end up to far ahead or to far behind. At least that's how it was for me and my Revo 3.3.
2 questions, 1- do you need to do this with both or will doing it to one fix it? 2- can you use the Traxxas link app instead of the radio? great video!
Hey, you can remove the screw and then just adjust the turnbuckle until it lines up with the hole. As for the traxxas app I have no idea. I never run the stick radios so I have zero experience with them.
Hey I’m running 2 5200 mah 100c lipos and I’m getting like 5 minutes of runtime. Lvd is shutting the truck down at 3.9 volts per battery. Trying to figure out what’s going on. The batteries have 2 charges on them.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs hello Jason, when u say turn the turn buckles do u mean the but where u just removed the screw from, turn that clock or anti clock. Wise until it lines up 👆🏿, sorry I'm a little new, but think I hear what ur saying but would rather be sure, as I thght it would only adjust 1 side.... Or in my single servo experience 🤔, hope u get what I'm saying, thanks I've sub'd foeom watching your previous videos, very well put together fully informative, and crystal clear show 💎😉
Did anyone actually contact Traxxas with this issue?. It seems that they either believe it's best to have the servos fight each other, or that they having a flaw in their production assembly.
This issue goes back years man. Not sure if anyone ever contacted Traxxas. I have always just fixed the issue and moved on. Does suck though that they come this way.
Get a stronger coreless servo. Get rid of dual servos go single. They will always fight each other falling out of adjustment. Great video!

Mate you a legend was humming and unscrewed it exactly what you said.one buckle turn fixed it. Thanx mate

Glad it helped it. Will save your servos now too.

Lol he goes from a high pitched voice to a super deep manly voice 😆
He sounds like a duck lmao, hellOOu guys, we AAre gonna check the e-revo, nOw, nOt sure if THIs hAppens
Thanks for the great tip buddy!!! 👍👍👍👍
thank you for this, cause i am acually get my e-revo next week
Great video! Very informative!
Thanks Jason for the Update
Makes it more better!
Awesome video man
Glad I saw this. Mine hummed so bad right out of the box. Burnt them up in the first set of batteries.
Great tip I just fixed mine wrong out of the box thx....👍
Great info! Thanks!
Nice tip man!!!
wow,, thanks Man!! I will check mine too.
Thank you for the information
Thanks I'm buying it next week
Thx for the info I'm getting one next wk

My E Revo 2 is a month old and I checked my servos and they were perfectly centered.

Great tip!
Nice vid sir thanks for the info, now do I adjust just one or both?
Huh, maybe thats why both my servos burned out on the sencond run🤔 Oh well, switched ‘em out for a single savox. Thanks for the info👍🏻😁
super info

Never understood why they run 2 servos.Makes no sense. I converted mine right away with a perfect pass servo. Works awesome
After you remove the screw, how do you also the servos do they line up? I heard some being noise but you didn't show in the video how you were adjusting it. Thanks in advance for your response to my question.
Nice Video man, i burn both of 'stock' servo after 1h30... That my first dual servo rc =/ i wont make that mistake again Thankyou!

I´m a Newbie and i have the same Question. :-)
Was it possible to do what you did with that Servo-Offset, or if I'd need to adjust the bolts?
No you cannot
Thank you.
Hopefully it helps.

Wow older vid but I'm going to my summit this afternoon. How about removing the horns, recenter the servos then reattach?
steerin trim in the 12 hour clockwise position? and multifunction (tsm) totally off, right? thanks. saludos desde España
Out of the box .. my servos were perfectly aligned..
Mine too. Maybe the folks at Traxxas saw this video and made some adjustments to their assembly.
I was surprised, mine where also perfect. E revo 2.0 is a beast!
Very nice.
Side note, I see a lot of people with these long drill bits; where do you get them?
You can buy really long ones from DDM. But the ones I am using in this video are just from an Align set. Multibit driver set.
Just checked mine, guess I lucked out. Mine were right on the money.
Does it hurt that the horns aren’t straightened anymore? They are now angled...
How did you setup the servos to the receiver since it has 2 ch1 ? Thanks.
Still a good video in 2023
How did you move that top mount pivot arm like that to line it up?
Hey I’m running 2 5200 mah 100c lipos and I’m getting like 5 minutes of runtime. Lvd is shutting the truck down at 3.9 volts per battery. Trying to figure out what’s going on. The batteries have 2 charges on them.
I have a batch 2 or 3 E-Revo 2.0 and the servos are perfect. I took the screw out and they didn't move. Traxxas QC must've changed.
Clever
The 24 people that disliked were the people that found this video after there car broke lol
- Frankiemation - maybe eh. I always wondered why people would dislike a informative video.
How did you just adjust that servo with the remote ?
Mantap, kirimkan aku bos. 😍😍
My car came like that too I had to line up the servos
What remote are you using to change it?
What did he do to make the servo makes that noise
Is your trim going to be off now all the time?
Should u do both sides
thats why I converted to one
First thing I did with my erivo 2.0 was change the servo metal gears
What front and rear diff fluid does this use from factory
Jason Cortes 50k front/rear. 20m center
I switched mine to a single servo set up i didnt like the dual set up mine stripped out even after i realigned my servo's
I had the same problem.
With all the great options available now - who would buy a E Revo?
That’s a hard NO. Kraton EXB, Kronos XTR are such better trucks.
Ready to run..kinda.
900!
Will this mess up the trim or make them uneven?
No. Best way to do it is with the turnbuckles though. I did it with the radio trim just to make the video more to the point.

I still want an e revo 😔
do you just adjust one servo or all of them
Centering the servos and adjusting the links would have been much better advice.
See my Traxxas Bigfoot and others on my channel!
I wish I watched this vid before I stripped a gear in my servo the first week.😑
That would stress it out. Certainly

Traxxas is making a killing off of upgrade parts that should already come standard.
