Thank you for your valuable feedback. I'm on a mission to show that speaking is not just about giving an excellent presentation. Even if it's well-done, that is still one-way communication. It's about creating two-way communication and creating an interactive community where everyone has a chance to connect and contribute their insights and experiences. Hope you have a priority project in mind and take notes as you watch this video so you can instantly apply its techniques to create interest, earn respect and win buy-in to your priority projects. Enjoy!
***** What a great lesson, from experience most 60 seconds tend to be a one way communication. I like the 3 Question technique to create interest. Thank you!
***** , how great to hear again about *creating intrigue*. here on G+. I'm grateful you gifted the Atwood/Atwood/Shimoff Million Dollar Mastermind group of September 2012 with your Skype visit where I first experienced the power of your insights. Pop on! Tongue-Fu on! Thank you.
Sam Horn this was so amazing, I'm watching a second time and sharing with my friend who has an amazing project to get his portable water filtration system for third world and natural disaster situations. I'm so excited for him to have another took to get his invention out to those in need.
Her ovation was much deserved, her 'pleasantness' doesn't feel as calculated as most who discuss these topics.. obviously she knows what she's doing and knows her craft (that's why she's teaching it) but at the same time it seems very sincere and easy absorb and learn - Great info, God bless you maam.
This has helped me talk to people alot. If we want to succeed we must intrigue! Love that. It reminds me of a quote that says, "People won't care how much you know until they know how much you care" learned alot Thank you.
This is exactly what compelled me to invite an acquaintance I met through facebook, and a common interest in a horse ranch, to a movie. Once upon a time, he had a zest for life and excitement, fast cars, and many friends. He is now in a wheelchair from an unfortunate accident and volunteers on a horse ranch that helps individuals with special needs. I invited him not only to expand my circle of friends with a compassionate human being, but to appreciate the experience of a simple thing such as going to a movie being confined to a wheelchair. I believe that people could very easily learn a handful (ha) of signs so that if they encounter a deaf person, they could at least have minimal dialogue and help them feel connected to society. Great talk!
This is so true! Love life and love will love you back, is what I'm experiencing the last years as an artist! 😍🙏 The most important thing I've come to realize is that, in everything that you do in life, the energy that you feel while making it - passes on to others. 👌😇 So never loose faith in by thee!
Sam Horn's talk is both entertaining and informative. Watch it if you have a new idea, business or strategy and you want to convince others to jump on board! Thank you, Sam!
Thank you Lisa. That was my goal - to hopefully engage people in this important topic of how to connect, model the principles, and share actionable insights people can put into practice and get real-world results. Glad to hear that this talk is having that impact.
Love love love the step by step insights and advice!! Something I can really put into practice. Thank You Sam for sharing your brilliance and for being so intriguing!
Thanks Chidera for your gracious note. Katherine Graham of the Washington Post said, "To do what you love and feel that it matters , how could anything be more fun?" I agree. I feel lucky to love and enjoy what I do and feel it matters. Katherine's right. I'm not sure it gets much better than that.
@@SamHornIntrigue I never expected this, and I am honoured by your reply. I already practiced the "Did you know?..." yesterday. I have social anxiety and I get really nervous sometimes so this means a lot to me. I hope that I can be happy doing the things I !genuinely! love to do and not be forced by society to do what society/the world needs me to do to survive. Thank you once again ❤
Our team at Royal Roads University just used this method to present to our final residence MBA clients. We had them in the first 60 seconds and one was brought to tears by the end of the presentation. Thank you Sam Horn for your guidance that led us to a 99% grade.
You're welcome Scott and thanks for sharing your success story. It makes my day when people are kind enough to take the time to get in touch and let me know how these INTRIGUE approaches are helping them create more genuine connections with people. Congrats!
I have this Cheshire like smile on my face. You definitely connected with me. What a fantastical ray of light you are. Thank you for sharing your music.

Wow! Your advice is amazing. Right away you are putting the focus on the other person even when they ask about you. That's genius. I am throwing out my elevator speech and using your guidelines to connect. I love the part about the eyebrows, too. Very enlightening. I never thought about that. Thanks for sharing your wisdom with the world.
Hi Harriet, Wanted to stop in and say 'hello'. Saw you on Marisa Murgatroyd 's Super Hero Summit pre-view today. I'm a big fan of her work! Was a fun webinar!
Boy, did my light bulb go off, I finally got my 6 second 'here's what I do' down pat. Thank you...I've struggled with this for years! So simple and so effective. Ever since I've been using my new version, EVERYONE who has hear it stops in their tracks. I can't believe I found you.
Tomorrow is the day that I will meet the person who has the power to say yes and change my life completely, enabling my biggest dream to come true! Thanks a lot! From the deep of my heart, thanks a lot!
Thanks for sharing a true idea worth spreading Sam. This is universally applicable advice for anyone who is working on something they care about. Kudos!
Great Ted Talk, entertaining and a great approach to the "elevator pitch" and answering "what do you do?". She talks about how to "raise the eyebrows" and gives some solid advice and a method to create intrigue and interest.
Glad you found this valuable. It makes my day to hear from people around the world that they watch this to develop a new elevator INTRO that helps them meet people more confidently and have more meaningful conversations .
