THE EXPANSE does a brilliant job illustrating that, just because someone is an oppressed underdog, one cannot and should not just *assume* they are either “right” or even “good” people. Fred Johnson learns this the very hard way. The Belters-with the notable exceptions of Naomi, Prax, Ashford, and Drummer (who, sadly, isn’t even in the novels)-illustrate how brutal, lacking in empathy, violent, and even *genocidal* “oppressed” people often are. It ultimately does not matter whether or not these qualities are “justified”--those who possess such qualities have lost a crucial part of their basic *humanity* in all their rage…
Damn.. it's sad that the OPA dissolved because of Inaros, making other factions clash with other factions whether to side with Inaros or not.
