People need to learn that the ocean is the home of sharks. Don't get mad if you get bit. You know they're there.
As someone who knows these waters, understand that when you jump in you are on somebody else's turf. Be wary, be mindful and understand the risks. Don't blame the locals(sharks). They've been there for much longer than us humans have been around.
These sharks have been protected for 25 years. We need to eliminate that protection, thin the heard and serve them up. They are sighted hourly along Southern California. I surf and see the a lot. Look it up on UA-cam, SUP Great White Shark.
Being wary, mindful and understanding of the risks will do one thing for sure once your in. Take the fun out of your swim. Other than that those thought processes are pretty much useless.
*Great White Shark shows normal behavior.
When ever you go into the ocean your ringing the dinner bell . 🦈
That's why ever person should watch Jaws and learn
Good grief. Jaws is so freaking fake. You're ignorant.
@@angelabarrera24 no your ignorant you see people getting killed by sharks. It's not the sharks fault and you are in it's territory. Jaws is not totally fiction a hungry shark will eat a human just like the movie. Do the research
“You are more likely to get struck by lightning twice than have a shark attack”. That’s because anyone can get struck by lightening regardless of where they are located. Not anyone can be attacked by a shark. You have to actually go in the ocean. So if you go in the ocean that no longer applies
If I see another person blaming sharks, I'm gonna loose it
Newsflash! There are sharks in the ocean!
Most never think they will be attacked
Big up the black news man. Lowest risk: stay on land 😌
I think its strange how you have to mention race... 🙄

It's simple! You go in the water You take the risk. A swimming pool is much safer. I stick to them
The guest speaker in the video sends mixed messages. 1) "Three feet into the ocean, you are deep into the wild." 2) "You're more likely to get struck by lightning twice, than have a shark interaction." He's emphasizing both extremes of the hazard spectrum. WFT is the definitive takeaway message for beachgoers?
Bring a buddy? What if the shark bites the buddy instead?
this guy wasn't surfing, he was free diving for crabs. How are we supposed to trust this reporting when you can't get one of the most basic details correct?
Wow the nerve of that SHARK to try and have dinner in it's own home🤷....Don't they know humans rule the land and sea😂, yea people keep thinking your top of the food chain a SHARK OR LION will show you who running the Land and Sea
I'm so glad I can go into the sea in Greece oder Italy without being literally afraid for my life
There is whites around Italy and Greece, just rare sightings
Listen to Chris Fischer, please listen to what he is saying. Our majestic, precious marine life, namely sharks, are migrating their typical passages, just like we navigate our roads and highways to get where we need to go. Know when and where they are migrating and respect their travels by adjusting our behavior. They are essential to our oceans health and their survival is of paramount importance to our oceans’ ecosystem. Our respect for these magnificent creatures is so critical to their survival. THANK YOU CHRIS AND OCEARCH FOR YOUR IMPORTANT WORK. Respectfully, Donna from Sarasota, FL
Thomas Masada you are a hero!
Sharks don't have hands
Bring a buddy? Lmao that was so funny🤣💀
Weren’t they just saying how nice the great white sharks in California were??!!!
No, no one said that.
One in a million, to much for me! 🦈
The shark is self isolating waiting results of a covid test.
Sharks live there , stay outa their yard.If you go in you take a chance every time. It's not their fault. Most of the time they are nearby and we don't even notice, untill one mistakes you for food.
Where at in Northern California?
I don't blame the shark for what happened but I'm also not downplaying the trauma this innocent man went through.
I knew someone who got struck by lightning 3 times and when he was flying out of state, his plane was struck. Sooo... I don't think he should go surfing anytime soon. 🦈
The best way to tell if there is a shark in the water is to taste it, if it tastes salty then there is a shark in the water.
What beach was it? Lived in Central Cali in the 90's saw some big (24-30") fins, luckily never hung out in the lineup to see what they were.
So sad. Took one bite and released him though. They must think humans are seals at 1st but then realize we are disgusting rotten space descendants. Cheers to him for not being afraid of the ocean though. I am terrified to go in another animals domain.
Happens all the time off California. Not so much off Australia and South Africa. A number of total consumption cases there.
We are made of the stuff we're standing on
Nobody knows what the sharks think. Did someone interview them?
I think I’d rather be struck by lightning twice idk...
i'd rather pop sleeping pills and + Shampain
Bro he got nibbled on 😂🤣😂 that shark would have torn his leg off if he wanted to
Savannah don’t know what a shark looks like
Ever notice how shark attacks seem to increase around Shark Week?
Hope surfer dude heals 🙏🏼💙❤happy 4th , be safe
Well, I mean, it IS shark season. Not surprised but glad that guy is alive.
He was actually snorkeling….might have been nice to be on a crunchy surfboard.
Was in his way back to shore but stopped to investigate some crabs he’d seen. Is a nice little beach that one.
Glad it wasn’t more serious than it was.🙏🏼
Is it better to SEE it coming..oh..I don't know! Serious Snorkeler!
@@sandrahammond5566 idk it kinda freaks me out
Hey Samantha, the shark attack wasn't at Coney Island.
id rather be struck my lightning twice than get bit by shark once.
Expert: there's a greater chance of being struck twice by lightning
News: WHAT CAN WE DO TO SAVE OURSELVES FROM THE SHAAAAHHHKS????
I don't feel sorry for him. Who has people in the water. We don't belong in the water. We ain't fish!!!
One tip
Swim with a buddy
You’ve just cut your odds of a bite in half 😂
Remember you are taking a chance Everytime you go into a shark's home
Not just the ocean, but when you’re hiking, bears or mountain lions could attack as well.
I still love sharks 🦈! We as human beings need to respect their environment, glad that the man is ok.
Did you know that sharks have to constantly move forward in order to live..?
Strange..have you ever starred into the cold black dead looking eyes of the oceans greatest predator
& if you did did you feel love ?
Orca's are the greatest predator
@@carsonchristy5296 one swallowed an older white dude and spat him out. he lived to tell. he legit said he was in its stomach and screamed hello oooo !
I ain't sorry for all this attacks , why does the government allow people to swing around a place where there are sharks...? Everyone should take precautions
It’s almost as if sharks live in the water 🤯
I am not top of food chain I am not there
Simple science
May our dear Lord protect us from harm...please be careful out there'...remember the ocean(deep sea) is not our home..it belongs to the fishes(sea life) we can explore..but honestly we can not breath h20(salt water). We all live in this world together. Lets respect it &love it together.
Thank you
Sorry for the surfer, so glad to know the sharks are still around, that we haven’t killed them all.
Great White Shark population is actually thriving and growing off the coast of California.
www.sfchronicle.com/local/article/Population-growth-Study-finds-great-sharks-16223856.php
Everyone who regularly surfs or dives in that area knows it is and always has been Great White 🦈 territory . They love feeding in the kelp beds. I hope and pray this 🏄 surfer will recover with only a scar as a reminder .
Thanks for that slogan,3ft in the water, you are in the wild baby, hooorah sorry I can't help it...
Wow 3 people died in the US last year from a fatal shark attacks. Yet millions of sharks are killed every year by fishermen .
i hardly ever hear of people getting struck by lightning though
Im glad we did such an awesome job protecting the seals so the shark population could explode in California....
Don’t even think about it. Just surf 🏄🏻♂️
Shark protects his house again intruder is what it should say.
