That David Cola guy might even be good enough to eventually play with a cruise ship band.
This comment is underrated. :D
😂😂😂😂👌
Nope. Otherwise he would have made a multi-part video about it...
LMAO
Imagine. Maybe he'll be able to break a cymbal and get it turned into a star...
My drum set packed itself up and moved out while watching this.
@Rajiv Rath hahahahahahaha aslong as our Drumset are contented from our Care and Love..
Mine exited the 5th story apartment window at a high velocity
I woulda just broke into a driving AC/DC or Phil Collins beat and called it a day. 🤘😂
My electronic kit is having very low self steem issues right now and I can't even help it :(
Too F'n funny. Mine smirked at me ..."pahllleeeze"
The reason the vid is great is you have drummers of all levels and there’s no belittling 👌 nice to see
Probably because they're in the same room. People behave more like arseholes when separated by an internet connection.
I agree I love the video because of that.
There really is no reason to belittle another musician based on skill level, even the best drummers were there once, its good to tactfully point out flaws and ways to improve, this is helping, but any drummer belittling another drummer because "he's not as good as me" should be sent to bed early without dinner!
MorbidManMusic Again yeah I gotta agree w that, not to belittle or anything 🤓
Try that with a room full of guitarists
Love how you're all just teaching and learning from each other. No belittling, or feeling superior to others. Just overall a very nice vibe. Cool stuff man.
It was a super cool environment. So many great drummers who understand that having an ego doesn’t help you or anyone else, so instead they just love drums and love the drumming community. Super cool.
@@COOP3RDRUMM3R So I played drums for about 3 years then quit when I joined band in 6th grade and now I'm a sophomore in highschool and want to pick up drums as a hobby to pass time but don't have thousands of dollars to spend could you help?
@Amber Norris yes but it is really beat up and I am missing a snare
Why the fuck would adult drummers who are making a video together belittle each other anyway?
But it says I’m superior right on the Box. 🤣
David:”I can’t play the weird Hi-Hat thing“
Also David: proceeds to play it perfectly
How’s heaven
Doodoohead lmaoo
I though you were dead
Guys, legends never die
why does every sales engineer know how to play drums really well?
I’m liking the profile pic
@@Max-dd4ow i like yours too
Sleazy Skeezy&Greazy Nah sweetwater folks are toxic af bro. Sweetwater just has a squeaky clean presentation.
I Am Hunterific I don’t know that much but why are they toxic?
@@lzasyr what do you mean with toxic
5:03 is straight from Caravan
Exactly my thoughts!
First thing that came into my mind
But it's not quite my tempo.
@@Ocean5ix "Was I rushing or was I dragging?"
what is that beat called?
They say : "right left left righ right"
My brain : "Nope... Chiit tak tak chiit chiit" 👍
Me : "Roger that"
Yes
SAME 😭😂
0:46 is literally every drummer in the middle school jazz band mimicking any high school drummer at a concert lol
Absolutely. Been there done that.
A fact😂😂😂😂
I love how Casey and everybody else in this video is so humble and thoughtful of others and how they play, there's no comparison or superiority. They learn from each other and they respect each other for how they drum.
I was really excited to watch this. I'm a huge fan of David Cola and wanted to see if I could duplicate what he did here. I watched this through several times and after only a few attempts, I was finally able to nail it down. I was able to duplicate his cymbal grab @ 3:37 perfectly ! Sadly, I had a camera malfunction, so there's no video proof of my "David-like" prowess. But, men of honor don't lie about these things. Great video guys, you inspired me to meet the challenge !
David cola is the best drummer on UA-cam...... he is a professional and a humbled human being, I love Casey too
Matt is the best
I think u need to see matt McGuire
Luke Holland or Chris Turner (from Oceans Ate Alaska).
Ahmad Abrar I’ll check him out! Thanks
Ahmad Abrar he is freakin awesome!!! But David cola is very underrated cuz he really doesn’t do many drum covers..... regardless... they are both very talented my friend, thanks 🙏
Love how sweetwater folks can actually play instruments, where as guitar center employees can only play smoke on the water slightly better than the customer
And they actually like their jobs.
I once had a Guitar Center employee argue with me. He insisted that the term “snare side head” refers to the head on the top of a snare drum. I was stunned for a bit, but being a teacher and about 30 years older than the dude, I explained that the bottom of the drum is called the snare side because that’s where the snares are. You can even read the print on the box to see what the manufacturer calls it, I pointed out. He chose to maintain his errant view and I gave up and asked him to give me a “bottom head” then. So he put back the Coated Ambassador he had handed me and got me the Ambassador Hazy Snare Side head that I had initially asked for BY NAME in the first place. Ugh.
When the Vic Firth Tala Wands first came out, I asked a Guitar Center clerk if I could try a pair on the demo practice pad (they were behind the counter where I needed him to get me a pair). He told me, “no, man, sorry, we aren’t allowed to let anyone play anything in here because the noise disrupts the guitar department over there.” I should mention that this conversation took place with the two of us leaning over the sales counter and shouting, as if I was ordering a drink at a concert club bar during he show, because there was insanely loud, stupidly aggressive, and frighteningly dark-sounding metal music playing through the room’s speakers. I couldn’t even think of a reply. But I do enjoy sharing the story.
i love how these are like short free drum lessons, I've been wanting to get better at the drums but wasn't sure what to do, ur channel might be the right motivation, thank you!!
When your editor forgot to color grade and add contrast
Dude I came to the comments to see if anyone else noticed lol. I think he finally used a camera that shoots flat and he didn’t know how to fix it lol
johnsondrummer yea , he used a log profile to shoot .
I actually happen to like the flat look
I like that you made a video of a handful of things you can't do! It's nice to see when youtubers aren't perfect 👌. Keep doing your thang!
Not easy to put yourself out there like that. Definitely humbling when youre around advanced players. Kudos Cooper
He’s like John Mulaney and Grant Gustin had a little drummer baby.
Dude, thats so accurate
Owning the same shirt as David Cola is the closest I'll ever get to his talent.
If any video needed two kits, this is the one
Great to see Cola again. I binged his series on playing on a cruise ship. Awesome guy, amazing drummer.
the pros work on the hats is insane lol same with his snare work at first i was like the hits are soft on his rolls but i listened closer and you can hear the individual ghosting on the hits! impressive stuff right here man.
What a way to stretch your playing...love it! This is like a drum shed on steroids
Lenore by Chick corea... For all those who wanted to check that out... Really subtle drumming... Your ears have to search for it
At 7:20 when he came in with the Underoath intro I freaking DIED
Now I do not feel show bad when I mess up a groove. Nice to see professional drummer having fun and making some mistakes but no knocking or making fun of one another. Music brings us all together as an excellent universal language. But after watching this, I do need to practice more. Lol
#Drummersrule
This is the best video to learn and also fun to watch i hope to see this type of video more... Good work guys 🙏
Yessss! NDV is my favorite drummer. Very happy to see him here!
You guys are so great!
Friends and fam give david cola some live he deserves it
Yesss! Love seeing David play!
David Cola is amazing and I love seein these two working together 🔥
Thanks, this was fun to see, you are all good drummers, and it seams that you are just as good friends aswell : )
Love hearing different shuffles.
Love how wholesome this is
3:28 why i have the feeling that I never gonna play the drums like this guy
Thanks for the video and introducing us to David. Hes got a great channel!!
I love this stuff bro!
I love that he did it with his own feel
Very cool to watch and listen to!!
Great video, very inspiring. More like this would be cool
These guys are talented, virtuoso mastering of the drums
hi there I am a female percussionist and I am really inspired by your videos which inspires me to expound on my talent its just that I don have a drum set to call my own I have to wait until I finish high school tysm your vids are awesome lots of love from Kenya
Hey am a girl too lmao!!!!!! So happy im not alone
Good luck!
That Phil Collins beat Nick plays sounds like it’s from Genesis’s “Down and Out.” He plays it a lot cleaner than I do!
You guys are so inspirational. I would love to play and shed with you guys 💙😎🥁💪🏾
I buy everything from you guys. Really dig the free stickers and candy bags.
Yes drums you never stop learning, thanks guys this was awesome , wow that David Cola!!
I've always been mesmerised by the drums, but now I see it's very similar to tap dancing... and I can do that, so maybe I should actually try the drums~
I play the drums like a toddler with a pan and a spoon. Amazing talent these drummers have
Great to see that one of my favourite drummers (NDV) appreciates a great groove (Down and Out) from my all time favourite drummer (Mr Collins) :D
These guys/gals are sick! I’m convinced that Sweetwater interviews consist of groove sessions; custodial included lol.
Im a huge fan and thanks for getting me into drumming. :)
I love it guys,,its always such fun ,,you can master anything if you wish to ,,hve a great time ,thanks
you guys all rock.. especially David. and Nick D V
Practicing is just the same thing over and over, that's what I keep telling myself lol. Time to practice those rifs. Good stuff!
David Cola is so good boay
Always learning, love it. Would also love to see the snare drum and kick foot pedal up close. If not with cameras possibly with mirrors? But I understand that’s a lot of editing. You see that’s the trouble with success we always want more.
Excellent! nice beat bro! 👍👍👍
Nick, one of the legends, modern drummer festival as well
David is a fantastic drummer, but man, Nick just has the touch.
Thank you for this video! You showed that you are human after all!
So glad that you enjoyed it! I’m happy with my drumming, but also know I have a lot to learn and I always want people to look at me as someone who is learning, not someone who doesn’t have things to learn, so it’s fun to share that with people!
Yes David Cola!! Love his cruise ship vids! Lol
Would love to see Donati and Lang on this format teaching licks to one another.
Pls make a video "recording with one mic and editing the drum cover plz"
The way he was dancin to the beat as you played it is EXACTLY what I do w my drum mates hahahahHhHah feel the beat
I love the snare
Please make a lot of videos like theseeeeeeee.... please
Great video guys!
Nick is an amazing drummer!
9:12 me everytime I see someone play and start to get motivated
xD
Wow, I love it! Sort of like a asking a question, you must answer.
So that intro fill I’m pretty sure is from Advanced Funk Studies. Killer book.
I'm shocked that the kits Casey always plays on stay together and don't melt because he's always rockin and on FIRE WOO!! I feel as if i gotta reach through the screen with an extinguisher and douse the invisible flames hahahaha
In beat of heart bro.
Awesome video!
I wish I was half as good as the both of you. WOW!!!!!!
LOVE YOU BROTHER ! YOU ARE THE BEST ! 🧐🧐🧐❤️❤️❤️👏👏🙏🙏🙏 LOTS OF LOVE FROM NEPAL ! 😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Wow, love your vids
Awesome 👌
More, can You play this beat is so cool.
The Phil Collins groove played by Nick Virgilio = "Down and Out" by genesis off ". . . And Then There Were Three"
David cola is so fucking good, been following him for a while. Get around him everyone
First dude used to work at guitar center in Greensboro, cool guy
Brandt Miller - "I'm the desperate, and you're the savior!"
Underoath vibes, i know thats what you were playing ;)
Coop3r an awesome drummer on his own. Humbled.
The real question is can they play Rosanna by Toto?
Yeh that is a great song still have it on my usb Port.
The real question is can they play the pornhub intro?
Just Some Guy With No Mustache it is the same intro but simplified
One of the beats at the end was pretty much the Rosanna beat with a little variation. I would bet the David Cola guy could nail it
I did a Drum Cover of Rosanna...easy to play also for advanced drummers
That's the cruise ship drummer aye.
His cruise ship clips are cool as
Nick is a beast. 🥁
DC is da mane 👏🏾😀🤙🏾
I had no idea that I needed this video until today
that kit!
I play that all the time! Was inspired by one of Mike Johnston’s videos from years back....
Nick is such a good player he's heads and tails above the rest in this vid
Really fun vid guys cool
This is so bad . ass! Love it!
I'm a metal drummer playing up to 200bpm, but man those shuffle beats are killer!!
David cola knows what hes doin! Thats the Cleveland Ohio ambition in him!
that one dude played an underøath beat.its the breathing in a new mentality
When you ask that one kid in school to beatbox
That one kid in school: 3:18
Seemed like a pretty humbling experience haha.
Every time I’m around all the talented drummers at Sweetwater I am taught so much by all the incredible drummers!
After you get it. You got it. That group of 7!is a Jeff parccaro shuffle special
