that was really cool, nice video! there's another way of turning that you missed though that can be done with every character, which is by holding an elemental rod. you can aim the rod with the right stick to change direction and then cancel out of it with B
the funny thing about this challenge is that you can bypass the need for walking without one-handed sword or anything else that can turn you by just ordering the ally captain to go somewhere, and then swapping also the block in this game is the best version of it, and the bomb rune is best for deleting weak point gauges
I'm pretty sure that isn't a time mechanic in the blood moon level, you always kill the first wave before the cutscene happens, then once you kill enough they get revived a 2nd final time.

Since you can pretty much dodge out of any ground-bound attack. Impa's a godsend against these things given how quick she moves and stacks her special. Entirely capable of hitting 3 at once. ... I never learned how to block though. My style is literally Blitz and area control.
I'm glad you acknowledged the difficulty of keeping health near the end bit, if at all. Most of the combat is ok, but with the amount of heals compared to enemies the game throws at you, it's so easy to get overwhelmed. I realized after I beat the game that I could just power through the first Guardian without doing the mission, so I am _amazed_ you killed him the first time.
As well as guarding, 1 handed Link, Urbosa, and Riju (The people with shields) can parry by hitting light attack while blocking. It's usually less useful than the dodge-flurry combo, but it reflects lasers, which does a Ton of damage to guardians.
Some character specific methods of turning not included in the video: Link bombs, Spear Link mid-air strong attack (c2 allows him to go airborne), Slate Zelda cryonis, Revali airborne c4, Yunobo bombs, Teba c6, Master Kohga big glowy blast, Terrako mid-air weak attack (if you somehow manage to get airborne), Calamity Ganon mid-air strong attack (if you somehow manage to get airborne.)
aight, i'm kind of a Rito main in this game (Revali and Teba), and Revali is very much capable of turning. you're not supposed to use Revali on the ground, but rather the air. ZR places him directly on the air, and C4 (following the original buttons assigned, three normal attacks and then a strong) makes you aim bomb arrows, where you can turn around. movement might be a problem while in the air, but maybe C5? (4 normal and then a strong)
Incredibly tedious to get through the first moblin, Bow dose amazingly little damage. Your only forms of attack as link will be: Bow, Remote Bombs, Magnesis, Rods. None of which do significant damage. Teba is the only other character who’s ZR special ability dose damage on its own, in the form of a charged shot. Terrako also can use attacks with ZR, but his post game. I can think of several maps which will take hours to beat, especially since the bow’s damage cannot be increased. Also, I’m counting Rods as non-viable. They only do a small amount of damage, come in so few charges, and in order to recharge you have to kill strong elemental enemies (often wizrobes). Which will be overall not worth it
@@catalyst539 no. In the ‘beat botw without glideing’ video, Teba has a Forced(ish) Paregliding moment when first entering The Bird Devine beast. He lets link Go into FreeFall/Tells Ai Link to open Glider which then gives Control back to the player.

When I beat the final level and the Yiga hideout, I found it a lot harder because I brought the Great Fairies with me. They took up all the space.

I don't think I knew about guarding until just now when you talked about it.
I'm pretty sure that goes for the most of us. It's probably because dodging is more useful.
