    In this video we show you how to fully reupholster a footstool from start to finish. We show you each stage of the upholstery process from removing the old fabric, re-padding the footstool, cutting the new fabric and upholstering the footstool. We give you lots of alternatives on how to finish corners in upholstery and show you the technique of hand stitching or hand slipping in this video. So this is no sew upholstery - no need for a sewing machine!
    This is an upholstery for beginners tutorial so even a beginner upholster can follow along!

    Blind stitching - that is what it is called xxxx. Thank you for sharing this video. I have an ottoman that doubles as a footstool that my kitten ripped!!! I will be recovering once she quits doing that!! Her older sister ruined a leather sofa!!

    11 months ago someone asked for the name of the tool you used in the video to remove the piping and maybe more. It looked like it had a wide mouth grip to it. I saw no answer, so I'm asking for the tool name as well. I thought your video was meant to not only demonstrate, but further interest in upholstery after seeing you master it. Loved the video, by the way.

      Hi Rita! My current cutting table is a pool table 🤫🤣 but a cutting table should be wider than an average roll of fabric (140cm) and as long as you can make it. Hope that’s helpful!

      Definitely a sewing machine!! But this is a good alternative if you don’t have a machine.

      Hi Kazzys - the air compressor is used to attach to my staple gun and fires out the staples faster and more securely...with a lot less effort from the user too 👍🏻

    Would have been nice to see how to thread the needle? Sorry absolute beginner. I have only been taught to double the thread through. How is it adhered to the needle what kind of knot?

      Hi Aisha! I just use a normal loop knot at the end of the thread - I don’t tie a knot on the needle otherwise it would be really hard to get the needle through the fabric. I hope that’s of some help?

    can you try diy a couch with like a soft blanket? i’ve seen this couch online for 2k, like the wool soft ones, would you be able to recreate that with like a soft blanket & see if it works? 🤎
