That hand sewn corner will outlast the entire piece. Lol beautiful!

Awesome! Now I know how the hand stitching is done. I think it has a bespoke look, better than machine done. Thanks!!

I found a new hobby
Blind stitching - that is what it is called xxxx. Thank you for sharing this video. I have an ottoman that doubles as a footstool that my kitten ripped!!! I will be recovering once she quits doing that!! Her older sister ruined a leather sofa!!
Hi there! Sorry to hear about your kitten! They’re very cute but not great for the upholstery. Hope your recover goes well when you’re able to get it done 👍🏻
EXCELLENT TRAVAİL, MERCİ POUR LE PARTAGE 👍
Merci Bobo!!! Thanks for watching, much appreciated! 🙏 ✂️📐🧵⛏️
Thank you for your video, amazing. I need to reinforce wobbly chair legs or back do you have a video for that please?
Hi there! I very briefly cover it in this video but I will try to make a more detailed one in a future video 😊 ua-cam.com/video/5bxb6EEcKLg/v-deo.html
Thanks nice job 👍
Thanks Bob 👍🏻
11 months ago someone asked for the name of the tool you used in the video to remove the piping and maybe more. It looked like it had a wide mouth grip to it. I saw no answer, so I'm asking for the tool name as well. I thought your video was meant to not only demonstrate, but further interest in upholstery after seeing you master it. Loved the video, by the way.
Okay, sorry, I see that you listed your tools in the "more" dropdown section, thanks. I was excited to see what you were using when I first started watching and failed to do a thorough check for a tool list.
It must be the carpenters pincers?! I'll link below..

Nice how you do corners. Don't see other do it that way
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed!
Great , I was looking for the tools name thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Wow!
🙏🏻😊
I really learn a lot from your videos. Thanks. Hey what is the song in your intro.
Hi Gwen! Thanks for watching them, it means a lot! And I’m so glad you find them helpful 😊 it’s called Apollo by Patrick Patrikios.
What is the name of the tool you are using to take off the pipping and staples? Thanks!
Thank u 💓
Thank you for watching! 😊
Nice
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Great video, please can you tell me what the backing fabric is called?
Hi Yvette! It’s called ‘bottoming’ fabric or cloth. Thanks for watching 😊👍🏻
great videos, thanks. What size is your cutting table?
Hi Rita! My current cutting table is a pool table 🤫🤣 but a cutting table should be wider than an average roll of fabric (140cm) and as long as you can make it. Hope that’s helpful!
@@faceliftinteriors thanks.
Please can u tell me what make and model stapler do you use ?? Thank you
Hi Jason, please see this link is the stapler I use! Many thanks for your support! 🧵👍😊⛏️✂️

I’m having trouble threading my curved needle. Do you have a video for beginners on how to properly thread your needle without doubling up on thread ?
I normally bite the thread to flatten it. 😬👌🧵
Every time you tucked that corner back in I was like “oooh yesssss” 👌👌👌 🤣
🤣🤣 it’s weirdly satisfying isn’t it!
I can make you ohh yes
Damn you're good
Haha thank you 😊👍🏻
what kind of this fabric ?
Could I use this same technique on the arms of a couch?
So sorry for the late response, I didn’t receive a notification for some reason. Yes you could 👍🏻
Which way is easier and faster - hand stitched or with a sewing machine?
Definitely a sewing machine!! But this is a good alternative if you don’t have a machine.
Also chap if the machinist is busy doing other things this is a nice alternative might take a bit longer but Job Completed never the less.
nice one Neal
Thanks John! 😊👍🏻
What is the air compressor for? 🙏
Hi Kazzys - the air compressor is used to attach to my staple gun and fires out the staples faster and more securely...with a lot less effort from the user too 👍🏻
What is the spray glue please?
Hi there! Its upholstery adhesive - you can get it from any upholstery suppliers or online! 😊
😋
How much does something like this cost if we send to a professional
All depends on fabric, labour, type of furniture. 🧵⛏️✂️📎📐🙏
Can this be done with leather?
Hi there! No I wouldn’t do this on leather.
@@faceliftinteriors leather is too stiff it
Would have been nice to see how to thread the needle? Sorry absolute beginner. I have only been taught to double the thread through. How is it adhered to the needle what kind of knot?
Hi Aisha! I just use a normal loop knot at the end of the thread - I don’t tie a knot on the needle otherwise it would be really hard to get the needle through the fabric. I hope that’s of some help?
@@faceliftinteriors Thank you soo much for this! Greatly appreciate you, for explaining it as a slip knot! thank you!
,👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
😁👍🏻👍🏻
Unfortunately I couldn't see the actual stitching ?
Never saw any upholstery done. Recovery yes.
Excellent video but safety first! Some safety glasses, mask for spray.....would be much better to teach beginners. Otherwise, loved watching you work.😊
Great point Geraldine, thank you! And thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed 😊
I know
I'm a SOFA maker
👍🏻
You’re so fast with the tools it makes me nervous you’re gonna staple your hands 😩
🤣 I’ve absolutely done that more times than I can count!!
can you try diy a couch with like a soft blanket? i’ve seen this couch online for 2k, like the wool soft ones, would you be able to recreate that with like a soft blanket & see if it works? 🤎
