This could also make sense to the pilot's reacts to Schwartz showing up in the first place, as since the remaining Belkan pilots were getting their rear ends handed to them before they showed up, they could potentially be personal targets of Schartze as well, hence the quote "This is the worst kind of support we could hope for.".

Japanese developers tend to have trouble with L and R, swapping them around seemingly at random. In X, I think, you can find the Cariburn fighter, which should be spelt Caliburn after King Arthur's first sword.
Both of those issues are due to something called "Lallation" where Japanese speakers tend to have a hard time differentiating between L and R sounds because the Japanese language uses something midway between both (kind of like a softer version of the Spanish rolled R)

Ace combat zero is the best overall. Better ost, better bad ass, better gameplay. AC5 is better in story, while 4 is more of nostalgia than anything else. 7 is just too weak compare to the trilogy
And 6, while having a cringy storyline at times, has great missions that really feel like a Battlefield. 4 is a vibe on its own, but I guess you can say that with every Ace Combat game tbh
