Idk why, but sad stories are some of the best (if not the best) kind of stories for this type of games... like, Area 88 is kinda sad but still so cool, and the same goes for ACZ and even PW. they're so awesome, and yet sad in the end... but then, you realize there is still hope, and you will find the will to carry on
I just finished Ace Combat 0 for the first time. I don't regret a thing. This game is a masterpiece and deserves all the love it gets. And yes buddy, I am still alive.
I really don't think there is another game out right now that can match Ace Combat Zero in terms of the story, gameplay, and music. It really is in a tier of it's own. A big thanks to everyone involved in the development of this masterpiece.
Apparently there's a chance they will remaster AC5. Small chance, and only speculation at this point, but Namco did a poll on reddit or something about what games people wanted remastered and AC5 got number 1.
kittystarfire rulez I'd be stuck personally. AC5 is my favourite, but Zero is very close. AC5 had a far better story. Zero's story was good, but AC5 was the first game that made me cry about a characters death, and I never thought that would happen to me.
The game is over a decade old, but that last minute still hits me. The game in my opinion is a snapshot of the time it was made, people coming back from war, closing a chapter in their lives, remembering the ones they lost.
They need to remaster the whole PS2 trilogy! Zero was the game that got me into this beautiful series. Not just for the gameplay but also for the story and music. I hope they bring Cipher and Pixy back in a later game
i just love how all of the ace combat games have a slightly different ethnic tune to them. ACZ has elements of latin music, AC5 had tropicana (carribean) elements. Didn't listen or play AC6 as I came from a PS2 background and never had an xbox360, zero had heavy american rock and metal elements to it, etc. it's cool how the team really focuses on a specific ethnic type of music to it in each one.
Zee Kusa I think he meant AH. but 4 kind of had the same feel, if not, 4 had more of the elements of classical music in it from lots of use from violins.

SiN_Fenrir Even though Assault horizon has some heavy rock in it 4 has alot of rock as well Oh yeah i'm pretty sure Air Combat and Ace combat 2 had alot of rock in it too
Zee Kusa ah true true. but most of 4's "thematic" songs were more along the lines of classical themes in my opinion. I should have palyed more of Air combat and AC2 :/
I hope we get to see some of old Aces in AC7... Whatever happens, I'll always keep Galm Team in mind. Because until I tried AC0, I was still a noob. Galm Team is the real deal.
For a world building story of Strangereal, it's just so amazing with all those squadron have story tell about the Demon Lord who defined threat and aspiring them when they meet him and at the end, we dance gracefully above skies for that No Boundaries feeling from Border
"Legends are made not for what they said, they are made for what they have done" This war was fight by unknow and know aces who decided its finish and the fate of every single who fought unsung war and the after that This is the truth behind the belkan war !!
I always had a special place in my heart for this song, It capped of a wonderful game with a somber, beautiful swan song. To me, the title respresents the border between life and death. 10/10
I just beat this game a few months back, during June, and this game has refused to leave my mind since; it's truly unforgettable. I hope that somehow this game can see the light of day again, because it totally deserves it
I know most of these comments are quotes from the game but I just wanna say something quick, I think they nailed the soundtrack for Zero!, the Spanish guitar, I think it's flamenco or malagueña, I'm not sure but it fits well and I love it, anyways this is beautiful! All the feels man.. All the feels.. *sigh* I really want an AC Zero Remake
+TheAbenas123 well razgriz is 100% comming back in ace combat 7 and probably mobious, but the chances of seeing galm again are very low because he ''vanished'' and none knows were he is :(
This spain instrumental song, is one of the reason why i'm still struggle to learn playing guitar "Yo, Buddy. Still play guitar?" ps. Thank you, buddy, for upload all of Ace Combat Nol, 5 and Shattered Skies soundtracks. Yo, Buddy... Stay Healthy 😉🤙
Reaperzzz678 No, because Pixy was infantry just around the time most people believe that Operation Katina took place, mid-to-late 2005. Therefore it's possible he fought in the 2nd USEAn Continental War, but most likely on the ground. A lot of people think Cipher is Mobius 1, though.
The premise of this game's story sounds like a joke if you try to summarize it - The nameless protagonist is an ace pilot who beats his enemy pilots so badly that they all developed PTSD after they ejected out of the sky. But in a stroke of genius, this game went straight-face, dead-serious on the PTSD aspect, structuring cutscenes like interviews for a war documentary, filming live-action performances and bookending the entire story with a somber musical piece that completely contrasts with the bombastic action of the gameplay, it sold its premise.
You know how Espada 2, Marcella, felt when she lost her flight lead. She was inlove to that guy. She reminds me of myself, i.. lost someone meant to me, but i havent even confessed to her On the part where the opera voice came, i cried, feeling the pain in my heart. Knowing she wouldnt come back no matter how i grieved, cried...and even hurting myself. Right now i have multiple scars.. mental scars, and its killing me slowly Edit: I will be going to the Electrosphere tonight.. i hope i may find happiness, and her... Edit, 2..: Fuck i cant... I cant i cant i cant i cant! Edit 3: fucking bastard faked her death, FUCKING IDIOT!
Stay strong, buddy. The time will come when you can move on to brighter horizons. Have faith in yourself and your ability to heal. The time will come when you can get out there and find a new wingman.. I have faith in you!
This is a fusion genre. As far as I know no mainstream song has ever mix this particular music where latin choir and orchestra are incorporated into a flamenco type music. In regard to your question, fusion flamenco is your best bet, though it mainly fused with jazz
Anybody know why this is missing from the iTunes version of the soundtrack? From what I can tell, nothing from 5 or 6 is missing from those soundtracks, but Zero is just missing stuff.
@@theghostanihalater9391 it's obvious he'll die, he mentioned family related/raised red flags multiple times. The more the higher chance you'd die in war doing so
The reason is that game director wanted to change focus to much more personal interaction between aces. That's why he asked composer to add some spanish guitar to soundtrack, to emphasize that "knight duels" spirit.
Hmmm. I agree Zero is one of the best soundtracks in any medium, but the best AC ost award has to go to 7. 7 is much more consistent throughout all it’s tracks, but it doesn’t quite reach the heights Zero does. Still, zero was a product of its time/budget and if the devs ever get around to remaking it, my opinion would probably change.

Oh yeah i'm pretty sure Air Combat and Ace combat 2 had alot of rock in it too
Zee Kusa ah true true. but most of 4's "thematic" songs were more along the lines of classical themes in my opinion. I should have palyed more of Air combat and AC2 :/
It’s the most badass and the most saddest Ace Combat to ever produced. And the music...unparalleled!
I hope we get to see some of old Aces in AC7... Whatever happens, I'll always keep Galm Team in mind. Because until I tried AC0, I was still a noob. Galm Team is the real deal.
Sad it didn't happen except for Kei Nagase albeit for a really brief moment...
@@Aykun_ Mobius 1 kinda returned with the VR part of the game
@@gunther7276 Mobius 1 is like "I always come back" of ace combat
For a world building story of Strangereal, it's just so amazing with all those squadron have story tell about the Demon Lord who defined threat and aspiring them when they meet him and at the end, we dance gracefully above skies for that No Boundaries feeling from Border
the amount of fucking emotions that you go thru when the game ends and this starts
It’s like that guitar is speaking to u
"Legends are made not for what they said, they are made for what they have done"
This war was fight by unknow and know aces who decided its finish and the fate of every single who fought unsung war and the after that
This is the truth behind the belkan war !!
5:00 that makes me remember the first time I finished this game... ( that was... awesome! )
This is just too good
Me encanta, el romanticismo y drama de esta historia es espléndida.
I always had a special place in my heart for this song,
It capped of a wonderful game with a somber, beautiful swan song.
To me, the title respresents the border between life and death.
10/10
I just beat this game a few months back, during June, and this game has refused to leave my mind since; it's truly unforgettable. I hope that somehow this game can see the light of day again, because it totally deserves it
I remember thinking Ace Combat 4 was the best Ace Combat until I played Zero
That happens to a lot of people.
Not gonna lie... I cried
The 4:00 part gives a strong nostalgic feeling
i always hoped that somehow all aces would team up again
Wouldn't that be awesome? :D
yeah :DDD

+TheAbenas123 well razgriz is 100% comming back in ace combat 7 and probably mobious, but the chances of seeing galm again are very low because he ''vanished'' and none knows were he is :(
This spain instrumental song, is one of the reason why i'm still struggle to learn playing guitar

I wonder if Galm 2 survived that new conflict he was fighting in. The one where he was being interviewed.
Welk the new conflict was he was fighting in was ac4 time period so its unknown but i say he most likely is.
Yeah I'd like to think so too.
Yeah, if you're with ISAF, you've got a pretty high chance of living as long as you're shielded under the wings of Mobius 1.
Wait, so possibility that Mobius one is Pixy?
Reaperzzz678 No, because Pixy was infantry just around the time most people believe that Operation Katina took place, mid-to-late 2005. Therefore it's possible he fought in the 2nd USEAn Continental War, but most likely on the ground. A lot of people think Cipher is Mobius 1, though.
just masterpiece.
Got some Galm "Pixy" 2 theme in it.

She reminds me of myself, i.. lost someone meant to me, but i havent even confessed to her
On the part where the opera voice came, i cried, feeling the pain in my heart. Knowing she wouldnt come back no matter how i grieved, cried...and even hurting myself.
Right now i have multiple scars.. mental scars, and its killing me slowly

is thie best song in the game .
Thanks.
What genre would this be considered? Like if I tried to find more of this what would I have to search for?
This is a fusion genre. As far as I know no mainstream song has ever mix this particular music where latin choir and orchestra are incorporated into a flamenco type music. In regard to your question, fusion flamenco is your best bet, though it mainly fused with jazz

Anybody know why this is missing from the iTunes version of the soundtrack? From what I can tell, nothing from 5 or 6 is missing from those soundtracks, but Zero is just missing stuff.
Imagine this playing in Top Gun : Maverick's ending...
a perfect end theme to encapsulate the Russo-Ukrainian war

Beautiful music for awesome game (really bad that my copy is damaged so i can't play past mission where you fight SCHWARZE squadron...)
"remember belka did nothing wrong"
Belka
I dont understand why Zero had Spanish stuff Music, does this imply Cipher is a Latino/Hispanic?
We could say Cipher is born from a town in Ustio near Sapin
I think its because the game was based around sapin region.
The reason is that game director wanted to change focus to much more personal interaction between aces. That's why he asked composer to add some spanish guitar to soundtrack, to emphasize that "knight duels" spirit.
It’s use is to emphasize that their duel was like a dance. Can’t tango by yourself
Best track in videogames history behind Super Mario Bros, no discussions.
Something something MGS 3 soundtrack.
Not really, Far Cry 3, Ace Combat 4,5,7 and GTA V had better music.
@@ci.thunder No
@@RideR3BR Alright bud, think what you want to think, Probably never even heard those soundtracks lmao
