When you are playing War Thunder, only one player on either team remains, and both players are pulling out all the stops and the battle won't stop. This. Especially when it is japan VS US: US player keeps diving, Japan player keeps dodging, until either the US player runs out of ammo or the Japan player messes up. Also, Spitfire VS Zero when the Zero has a slight energy advantage.

This and Archange from 7 feel the most ‘honorable’, like the fight was meant to be completed with no dirty tricks, no special weapons, just flight, gun, and standard missiles. I kinda feel like I need to honor both Mihaly and Larry with a fair fight.
Two games, both are AC in their names, both featured muted faceless protagonists, and both potrayed of how badass someone can be but each with different purpose and goal. man i lived in good times
Only the Ace Combat Franchise can ever make me feel some kind of connection to a character whos face I've never seen and at the same time make me feel such blinding rage towards a Traitor I've never known until now. It was at this moment that I just completely let go and let pure instinct take over my flying. Every bank, every twist, every turn, every bullet fired and every missile sent, like a torrent of emotion being expressed through the art of combat. It's because of this that the Ace Combat Franchise will always have a near and dear place in my heart and i'm glad I had the opportunity to experience them in my lifetime.
Why would you want a remake? AC0 can't be better than it is. Some graphic enhancements, okay, but you can really just modify it for that, an official remake would not be worth the money. I'd say the original game is still very enjoyable even though it's far from new now.

But I got to play Ace 6 for the first time recently through Xenia Emulation, and though Talisman has perhaps the least personal presence in the story, that's done in spirit of Mobius-1, as the game is a throwback to AC04 in a lot of tiny ways so, Talisman should definitely be given more love. c: Gryphus will take time for me to connect with as I just can't deal with Portable gaming hehe, but I trust you.

I thought the head on requirements were ridiculous, but then I met Sulejmani (X2)😂😂😂 Fighting Pixy felt epic. Fighting Sulejmani… with his "dancing"… urgh. I wanna fight Pixy, and feel an accomplishment😂😂😂 Sound track is too good.
I stumbled across this song while listening to the Metal Gear Solid OST on UA-cam, back in like 2015. I was blown away, I didn't *know* videogame music could be so incredible. That was how I discovered Ace Combat.
After playing through the 45Z7 series, I can confidently say that Ace Combat has an unbeatable unified stylistic and musical presentation. Zero was the height of this presentation. Not too generic, not too sentimental, and not too over the top like the other games. Now if we could only have an Ace Combat game that has consistent tone, narrative structure, and better translation... That would be quite the game.

I always thought it was important that Cipher (meaning both "zero" and "an enigma") would eventually hunt down his formerly-heroic wingman (who was an in-universe famed ace before Cipher even appeared out of nowhere) and stop him once and for all. That for all that people called Cipher "the Demon-Lord", in the end it was Pixy who decided to open his defection by trying to murder his buddy. And after it was done, Cipher vanished.

Recently before the global covid-19 pandemic I was in Spain on a cycling holiday and I had this playing on my phone and it was amazing. The soundtrack to this game is the best ever in the whole of ace combat.
This one takes me back. AC0 was truely a masterclass in how to create atmosphere in a game. Literally just an arcade jet sim, but it makes you think, feel, and dream; perfection.
You and I are like opposites sides of the same coin. When we face each other we can reveal our true selves. There may be a resemblance but we never face the same direction.
I remember driving with a friend to get this on launch day because he had his parent's old car and I didn't have one yet. Man, we were kings and didn't even know it. This was one of the first games I seriously worked to get a 100% completion on, see all possible paths, and still have the OST downloaded into every device I've ever used for music.
Really heartwarming that Code Geass has a similar track, which mainly focuses on the Black Knights, that played in the penultimate episode of the first season. Kotaro Nakagawa was really cooking back there.
Suits so well in the last Conquest mission in Project Wingman, especially when the enemy starts sending endless waves of F-18E/Fs, F-22s, Su-30s, Su-37s, F-15S/MTDs your way to stop you from shooting down their air cruisers.
No one really brings up this point, But the darkest game in the series has to be Zero. Zero: 7 NUKES, A BACKSTABBING CO-PILOT, A BURNING CITY, A MISSILE TO END LIFE. 4: Oh I guess some guys are taking our land? We should take it back? Oh look at that, it's a laser! 5: Oh no we were betrayed... or we're spies? It was a setup? There's another laser? 6: (Actually a city that gets completely wiped, and sends people into refugee is kinda dark...) X: I wouldn't say too much story elements are going down
Sei Iori Your descriptions are accurate. Particularly your coverage of 5 that cracks me up. But yes, I know Zero was the darkest. Nukes aside, there was a friend that backstabbed you for reasons he believed were for the greater good. You were just a pilot following orders, staying loyal to your country, and getting quite good at killing. Pixy fought for an unrealistic ideal in the current world we live in, so he decided to wipe civilization to have a chance at it. Pretty twisted, but what exactly is good? Every battle has at least two sides. There is always a victim. We fight for the order that we know of, but simultaneously that order can betray us and send us to war. That is what Pixy wanted to erase. So that the world, the next generation, do not have to deal with bullshit.
I wish they make remaster HD for ps3 and Ps4 and also Xbox one, Graphic , player or console dont make any different . what really make the game famous is the way it tell the story....... sorry if i wrong
PC is the best "console" in all but simplicity. If any PS2 Ace Combat came out as a HD remake, having it unavailable on Steam is a money waster for Project Aces and it's not in the fullest potential for HD. I'm not entirely concerned for the graphics, but I think Ace Combat Infinity would have gome much better on PC, and Project Aces was out of their minds for not having it on steam (I mean come on! Who made that choice, and what was making that guy think they should not put it on steam?). I'm pretty sure they can learn from their community and the next game will be on PC as well as Xbox One and PS4.
I was today years old when i found out this song and unsung have almost the same lyrics; modified to fit their respective game. Just kicks ya in the feels.
This whole composition is amazing... First the strings and the snare, then the subtle first chords of the guitar. You start to really get into the furball, each of you jousting for a lock and the music swells.... Then you get the radio message that he's the one controlling the nuclear launch and the lone female voice begins her lament... The warrior in you thrills at this final challenge, symbolised by the flamenco guitars, and yet there's a sadness in the realization that in this fight between you and someone you once called your friend, this can only end when one of you dies. And then you take that feeling, dismiss it, and there's just the Spanish guitars again... The fierce joy of the fight itself. Then Pixy launches the nuke and the main choir comes in, reminding you of the stakes you can no longer ignore, and this keeps going until you finally land the killing blow... The lament again.

I would like to see PC HD Edition of 4,5,6 and Zero because playing on emulator is painfull (4 and 6 are basically unplayable 5,0 are fine).

A fitting ending to a game that despite it's criticism, truly was for it's time, and still today, a work of art.

Nukes aside, there was a friend that backstabbed you for reasons he believed were for the greater good. You were just a pilot following orders, staying loyal to your country, and getting quite good at killing. Pixy fought for an unrealistic ideal in the current world we live in, so he decided to wipe civilization to have a chance at it. Pretty twisted, but what exactly is good? Every battle has at least two sides. There is always a victim. We fight for the order that we know of, but simultaneously that order can betray us and send us to war. That is what Pixy wanted to erase. So that the world, the next generation, do not have to deal with bullshit.
What laser was in AC 4. there was only Big ass railguns, and rocket silos

PC is the best "console" in all but simplicity. If any PS2 Ace Combat came out as a HD remake, having it unavailable on Steam is a money waster for Project Aces and it's not in the fullest potential for HD. I'm not entirely concerned for the graphics, but I think Ace Combat Infinity would have gome much better on PC, and Project Aces was out of their minds for not having it on steam (I mean come on! Who made that choice, and what was making that guy think they should not put it on steam?). I'm pretty sure they can learn from their community and the next game will be on PC as well as Xbox One and PS4.

This whole composition is amazing... First the strings and the snare, then the subtle first chords of the guitar. You start to really get into the furball, each of you jousting for a lock and the music swells.... Then you get the radio message that he's the one controlling the nuclear launch and the lone female voice begins her lament... The warrior in you thrills at this final challenge, symbolised by the flamenco guitars, and yet there's a sadness in the realization that in this fight between you and someone you once called your friend, this can only end when one of you dies. And then you take that feeling, dismiss it, and there's just the Spanish guitars again... The fierce joy of the fight itself. Then Pixy launches the nuke and the main choir comes in, reminding you of the stakes you can no longer ignore, and this keeps going until you finally land the killing blow... The lament again.
We are still here, listening to this masterpiece
