Honestly I didn't even know that you guys were a Orthodox channel until this I came here and subscribed because of your Jesus and the possessed man motion comic. This is pretty sweet and beautiful perfect timing because I was Roman Catholic converting to Orthodoxy. I like how all these great Orthodox channels just suddenly started popping up on UA-cam. He promised it would go to making new videos but he revealed he was going to stop making them anyway so he just lied and took a bunch of money.

He claimed he would be redistributing the ad revenue of future videos to the “investors”, but then people found out in his financial disclosure he hid at the bottom of his crowdfunding page, the $500K was just to pay off the co-owner & take full control of the Disrupt channel. And then ppl found out the money was never going to be used on future videos, and instead, Jak planned to pivot the channel into making Christian content (see this channel) and everyone revolted, resulting in him being kicked out of Disrupt.

Thank you for these videos. For the past few months I’ve been exploring Orthodoxy and I find it so inviting and I’m closer to the Father than I was. Born a Southern Baptist then eventually was in a non denominational church that is trying to be a mega church and it left me empty. It was good as a baby Christian but this has meat and truth. Praying for you and everyone here. Keep the path. 👏

Well, the meaning of that story is a bit more symbolic. The angel is not a temptation; he is indeed an angel of the Lord. The brother was getting a bit upset because he had to travel many miles just to get a bit of water; this can be understood as a man who needs to fight a lot against his temptations but feels as if his efforts are not worth it. The angel, fulfilling his divine role, gives the brother a message from the Lord Himself. The message comforts the brother, for he will be rewarded according to his efforts against the temptations of the devil. Indeed, the brother feels comforted, for now his efforts are not meaningless anymore, but are the parameter that God Himself will use to reward him.

Just from the good old days on Disrupt and even still here in this video your direction, diction, visuals and overall presentation are so rich. It was always so interesting to me how you can take a topic that may, at face value, seem mundane and transform it into an immersive experience. He didn't want to look back, like the man in the passage. To be exact, he wanted to live longer to repent (he said this out of humility.) I hope this clears this up, God bless!
@@dynamican_ If the angels were talking him then, for him, then its true his sins were forgiven. What was there left for him to repent from when the litteral angels came to pick him up. He doesnt need to verbaly say it if his life says he turned away from them. God wouldnt have missed them on accident and then sent him to hell.
Asking for forgivness isnt imherintly what saves. People will repent on the day of judgement but still go to the lake of fire. Its the sanctifying forgiveness brought to us by jesus
It's better to watch the life of a particular Saint in such style than covering short teachings, imo of course.
