PD's decision making is the biggest hurdle this game is facing right now, it has so much potential....I would never understand why they aren't introducing 45 minutes long daily race D with proper qualifying, dynamic weather and accelerated time if day? They are already doing it for championships, why not dailies??
this doesnt work out for a lot of people, especially the dynamic weather due to it being more taxing on the hardware which could cause problems with the OG PS4.
@@alt2484 it's prolly less about technical reason but more to GT audience not having time to commit on a 1hr daily race especially those working 9 to 5. I'm sure PD has that data.
@@alt2484 these races have cross play with PS4 as they are not part of dailies, so I'm sure they can implement this stuff even in dailies...I just don't know why they aren't doing it...maybe they don't want playerbase to be too divided in different races to keep the lobbies full? But they can easily solve it by having such races only 3-5 times a day instead of all the time like current dailies
If they added a daily race D for this kind of race…sure. Gotta remember the vast majority of online racers are on for maybe an hour a day. Them coming on for 1 race where there’s so many variables as one of the 3 dailies wouldn’t be all that welcoming. I like the 3 races right now as it offers an extremely casual friendly race A, then a little more involved race B, usually with group 4 cars, and then a much more involved race C, usually with group 3. One thing they should always have with race C though is mandatory multiple tire compounds to be used, and should rotate group 2 and 1 in more often.
This was a great race to watch. Love seeing the changing weather conditions and the strategies around it, not to mention the different car performances in those conditions. The longer races are also nice as consistency is everything across 30+ minutes of racing!

@Super GT Mate, I don't know if you remember this, but that move you pulled on the two GTRs immediately took me back to a fond memory of Formula 1 2000, when the back straight was most famously known for the spectacular move Hakkinen pulled on Schumacher as they both went past a slower car, and Hakkinen had the inside line and made it stick. You practically replicated it! Though from a different side! Kudos!
I would love to see endurance races. Like you said even just once a week. An hour long race would be a dream on red bull ring, spa even le man's. Let's hope polyphony ate listening. Ah ha yea right

Totally agree. Its great, great for Pro Racers, great competition, great watch. But I think why they dont do dynamic weather a lot is the backlash from lesser racers and lower level drivers. Wet usually is excruciating, a spin out a lap and they get so frustrated
This was a huge w, need another daily that’s proper long with quali and dynamic weather. Honestly this race at Spa was incredible, and we need more of them. Also, Daytona with gr2 or gr3 cars is a need for sure for a daily soon

Realise I'm late to the conversation, but PS4 actively doesn't run well with rain. Every time you see Steve pass someone in this video and they're teleporting backwards every now and again: they're on a PS4 and getting microstutters. Not only that, but I believe the game doesn't currently have a way to enforce a set condition for qualifying while having dynamic weather in the race. That means good qualifying laps are mostly just luck and time, because you're screwed if it's randomly wet or starts raining.

When your wifi is faster than the ethernet cable, something is very off. That is a clear indication you need to tweak stuff, or upgrade hardware that handels the internet stuff.
Interesting to see the difference between the driving styles between the GTR&Aston and your line SuperGT. The other 2 seemed much more aggressive into the corners vs you more neutral/balanced line. Overall a good race to watch 👍
i think your differential tuning at the porsche may could be a bit adjusted i think that is one of the things u have to focus at other races too more refined tuning
If your router is older than 3 years, and you are using your providers router/modem. Try finding if they have a newer model router/modem, usually newer models have faster technology. Specially newer routers/modems comes with faster wifi support, that have less lag causing issues.
Dynamic weather is criminally under used in gran turismo, especially considering that they put so much effort in delivering great wet racing simulation
I really enjoyed racing in those conditions and managed a 5th place myself. I’m not a fan of racing in the wet usually but this track was perfect for it.
Split second faster on the gas out of the apex will do you a lot of good. You're a good racer. I appreciate you know the names of all the turns and sectors.
Twas a fantastic race, totally agree we need more weather races, I decided to go Aston Martin finished second as I just couldn't live with the GTR but what a race.
The dynamic weather is great on GT7. Such a shame it isn’t implemented on every track and that Polyphony seem to use it so sparingly in both the single player campaign and sport mode. That extra dynamic of managing the change in track conditions, whilst keeping one eye on the weather radar, always adds an extra bit tension to proceedings.
I assume real racing videos coming soon ..idk what I like more now gt vids or your real track ones … it’s naturally the next step in your driving progression I’m thinking it’s why we play GT in the first place and how watching you drive real race cars 🏎 is so intriguing to all of us thank you Super GT
I love your videos. Great commentary. Could you take a some time per race and talk about your breaking zones? Throttle and brake pressure? What you're looking at starting corners?
Did this race on wets and it helps at the beginning but in the middle where it starts to dry you have to go on hards as soon as their is the tiniest amount of dry track but it’s truck to stay in the dry lol
I enjoy watching these longer races! I wish GT would release on pc sometime, would love to play but cant justify buying a playstation just for 1 game when I have the pc rig already setup
Why go on hards from wet to dry? Softer tires should in theory have a lower optimal operating temperature, making them more suited for such conditions, no?
The guy who bumped you around the 7 minute mark also bumped the guy who had been behind you. You could see it on the radar about a minute earlier. He definitely did that on purpose

I agree. I like the option of these longer races, but they just don't work out for me time wise. Would love it if something like this was race C.

Proper racing in rain where it can be fun is something you gonna see in higher ranked lobbies. In B it's just a bloodshed. Even without rain.

Mimicking real world races in weather is a very very good idea!

I think PD knows the state of their servers and is afraid of putting rain in Daily Races.That's the only excuse i can think of

The end of the race reminds me so much of the final license (S-10) in the Porsche 917. One little move off the racing line and it’s game over.
They could also buff some American cars like Mustang, Vette ect for a little more variety on track

I'm enjoying the race also. Out of the 4 races yesterday I completed 2 . 1st in one 2nd in the other. Ride those IM tires until the 12th lap.

This is random but Gran Turismo needs a museum mode for all of us car lovers. A place where you can open the car doors, hood, trunk etc.

The McLaren I was using was superb in the wets as well.
They need to add a 4th weekly race and have it 1 hour endurance but not have it rain every race just some lol

Those late lap conditions are exactly the S-10 license conditions, ironically on Spa actually. I wonder what time Super GT got on that
