Yeah, I haven’t had a chance to work on it since then. But I am hoping to this winter. The little time I had this year I have been using on building my vaporizer

Hey JP, Glad to see you on my Channel. Build it, another way to market your honey for sure. Try to find a quality impulse sealer, I don't have one yet and I need to get one so I can't refer you to a good one. So shop around look for something with highest watts. Check out my new video I loaded up today its a peak for what i have planned this year with a Honey stick Machine

@@ETsBees HI ET, I picked up a sealer a few weeks ago, I was filling straws one at a time with a syringe then melting the ends with a lighter. I picked up all my Lowes parts and I'm waiting for the valves and barb adapters from Ebay. I should have them next week. I just have to figure out what type of a nut I can use for the hose barb that attaches to the sprayer. What did you use ? I had a sprayer already so that was 1 less thing I needed to buy. I was going to use it for sugar water to spray bees but after finding out it just turns everything into a sticky mess I don't use it.

@@jpthedelawarebeeman6239 for the nut I cut the end off a female threaded fitting to make one. But in my list I have a bulkhead listed. If I was to make it again I would use that, it would have been way easier.

@@ETsBees Ok so the bulkhead fitting is definitely the way to go. Get them on Amazon & they fit without trimming them to go into the sprayer neck - Not bad price 2 for $9.99

So I am going to place links in the description for everything, but here is the list.
      (1) 3/4" x1/2" threaded PVC bushing
      (2) 5/8" hose clamps (get the heavy duty ones, they work a lot better)
      (1) 3/4" threaded ends schedule 80 PVC pipe min 12 inches long (if you can find 16 you will have more room)
      (1) 3/4" threaded PVC cap
      (1) 3/4" threaded PVC coupling
      (2) 1/2" barbed x 1/2" threaded barbed fitting
      (1) 1/2" ID clear vinyl tubing 36" long
      (1) gallon plastic sprayer
      (1) plumbers Teflon tape
      (10) 3/16" barbed x 1/4" threaded barbed fittings
      (1) 3/8/ female x 1/2 male bulkhead
      (10) 1/4" male female ball valves
      (1) 13/16" hole saw or drill bit
      (1) 1/4 pipe tap
      (1) 7/16" drill bit
      (1) 8" impulse sealer(order a extra wire or two with the Teflon that goes with it)
I did not use the bulk head but think it is a better option then what I did and would go that route if I was to do it again, that is why I placed it in the list. It is what you wil use to go through the hole on the sprayer tank. I have not had good luck with my 16" impulse sealer and thinking about buying a eight inch one that's why I say the 8" sealer. I now fill up 300 sticks and then seal both ends at the same time. by doing this i have really sped the process up for myself. Since this video I have 3d printed out a 10 straw holder and it sure makes sealing them way easier.
As you make have seen I copied Wayne Flewelling's honey stick machine but I am in the early stages of coming out with version 2.0. This will be a little more complicated and a little more money but should increase production. I have ran out of honey sticks a few when times selling just because I have been to busy to make more sticks up. I am hoping the 2.0 version helps with that. I also have printed some plastic fittings that allow me to fill up colossal straws.
If you need to buy straws the Jumbo ones just came in stock at www.webstaurantstore.com and you can buy bulk at a very good price $0.006 a straw shipping included.
Hope this helps you and if you have any more questions feel free to ask and if you haven't subscribed please do so. I will be showing the 3d printed straw holders and the fittings very soon, and hopefully version 2.0 in the next month.
