I'm enjoying your videos hugely, as well as learning new tricks with my recently bought 7300.
Many thanks for all your hard work from England.

What a awersome series! Do you have one for the 991A. Much easier to comprehend following you along with the manual!

Hi. Thanks. Sorry, I don’t have anything on the 991A. That is not a radio that I have ever played with.

Nice Video Series - Just binge watched the 22 completed to date. The videos made delving into some of the features I really did not use (recording, etc) really fun to learn. Looking forward to more.
When is the 9700 series coming :)

Notice how the power button flashed to alert you that the screen was the screen capture? THAT is great UI design, ICOM gets it, apparently.

I put a 32 G card in it. 553 + hours of record time. 553/24=23 + days of recording! But saving other things will cut that down. I don't know why anyone would want to record 24 hours a day. But somewhere there may be someone. But my point is that you can record everything for Field Day and not have used much of the card. Record every Field Day for 20 years! If you set to only record when you TX or RX something, you will not use that radio enough to fill that card recording only Field Days you worked!

Can you record CW QSO's? Thanks for any info, would be great for me to be able to go back and catch what I didn't the first time. Or just train for different 'fists'.

Yes. The record function works exactly the same in CW as it does in any of the voice modes.

I recorded a Transmit memory message, and it will not key the transmitter when I touch it's key. What did I do wrong? de Larry, K3LT

You can play the messages while you’re in the edit and recording menu, but they just play over the speaker and don’t transmit. Is it possible that you didn’t back all the way out of the the editing menu after you recorded the message?

Hi could you please make a little video about opening the sd card from the packet and show that the micro card that comes with the one we are going to use actually inserts into the bigger sd and not an extra for a mobile phone then there is a little sliding notch on the side of the sd card that locks it or unlocks it .sorry but I am 68 and never had to use sd cards even my son who is computer mad was baffled until he sussed it ..many thank ..might help other people out thanks for all your helpful video's..best 73

    Tip:
Check and correct time and date before record or save settings. It nakes easier to find the correct file..

Mohammad Bahathir Hashim That’s a great suggestion especially if you’re going to use the default file name.

I always hit Unmount (just in case)

It is the safest option. I probably should have made that more clear in the video.
