1992 Minardi M191B F1 w/ Lamborghini 3.5L V12 Engine in action at FoS 2019!

- Freshly restored by Lamborghini Polo Storico, this Minardi M191B is chassis 003 and it was the car used by the Italian team for the first 4 races of the 1992 F1 season before being replaced by the M192.
The M191B features the Lamborghini LE3512 V12 engine, a 3.5-liter engine, designed by Mauro Forghieri, able to produce around 700 hp at 13,800 rpm. Definitely not the most reliable engine of the grid but reading that "Lamborghini" word on the bonnet is truly epic. Enjoy the melody of the 12 cylinders with some brutal accelerations, fly bys and downshifts!

You gotta love how those V12 engines from the 90s sounded. You had the Ferrari and it's harmonious, melodic sound, like a violin. Then you had the Honda V12 and it's vicious wail, which seemed that was never gonna stop going up in the power band. And then you had this Lamborghini: Unhinged and full of rage.
I miss those simply yet good looking F1 cars... :'(

I think I've said it before, but Lamborghini's ventures into F1 may never have achieved very much, but they did make one of the best sounding engines ever.
Ferrari's V12 sounded even more aggressive
I'm sure it has to do with f1 politics and Ferrari interest back them, Lamborghini was the direct Ferrari competitor in road cars back in days.
Friendly reminder that Lamborghini nearly powered McLaren in 1993, and that Senna actually liked the engine's characteristics, reportedly having a fatter power curve.

They didn't always sound like that, before and after 1992. That's the sound you grew accustomed to and prefer. Many people did. There's more to Formula 1 than sound though and it'd be great if people woke up and realized this.

I don't care if they have been on the back of the field for 20 years, I always liked Minardi.

I love how at lower RPMs, it really does sound like a Murci or Aventador or any Lambo V12, but the moment it goes higher it just gets into f1 madness

You're looking at Aldo Costa's first F1 car, before he went to Ferrari and Mercedes. Great designers are instantly recognised. Neweys first design, the Fittipaldi F8, was a piece of beauty

I’m so much more impressed by the drivers back then than I am now. They get so much more of my respect, maybe they weren’t all as consistently talented “as a whole” as today’s field but definitely had bigger balls for hanging on to these things at speed with minimal protection.

Thanks for the upload, this was definitely one of my favourite car's I saw at FOS. Managed to speak to the driver, surprised when he said it was a 5 speed not a 6. I think he said it was running about 650bhp.
