My husband has made several boxes over the years, he has a book called band saw boxes with several designs in it. He lines his boxes with felt, cut the felt before you glue the box sides back on its much easier than trying to put the felt in with the sides on.

That looks good. What if you were to make a mirror image and put them both on a vanity with like a edged mirror or something in between. I think that would look cool.

Putting felt under the drawer takes up the gap. A couple felt pads behind will bring the drawer out. Saves time. Very nice job on this. I really enjoy the variety of projects you do

Love the cedar, I am actually in the middle of making the Lotus from Lois Ventura's book. It is the most complicated band saw box I have attempted to make. I've made about 10 boxes for family members so far. Lots of sanding but I flock the drawers to save some sanding. I've ordered some Old Masters as you suggested. Thanks.

Awesome. I just used the gel poly for the flower box I made. I don’t think I have that book. You have a link to it?

Great work for your second bandsaw box. You are becoming an expert at making all sorts of boxes. I can't wait to see your next endeavor. Thanks for showing all the products and materials used in your projects. That is very helpful for us beginners. After watching your videos, I always feel confident that I could get similar results. Cheers!

The sped-up video beginning about 8:30 makes sense to run through otherwise tedious steps. But the audio sped up with it, sounding very cartoonish & difficult to understand. I'd suggest doing a voiceover when you use the sped-up video effect. Very nice project, demonstrated simply & clearly, Skylar. I really like the roundover on the drawer front.

You are really fun to watch. You don't hide anything and you show everything clearly. I have made band saw boxes also and didn't like the gap at the top of the drawer. I took a couple pieces of veneer that I had and cut a couple of narrow runners. I glued them at each end of the drawer so the drawer would be raised up to split the gap between the top and bottom. The runners could be glued to the drawer bottom or in the box itself. Feather the edge so that there is no interference putting the drawer in. I like the suggestion of using felt also. Can't wait to see what you make next. Wish you and your family a Merry Christmas.

Nice project! Does the wipe on poly mask the fragrance of the aromatic cedar ? Also thanks for the tip on the epoxy been looking for something small that would last awhile, I don’t use it much but it’s nice to have it when you need it .
