hell yeah, might even actually get into it this time, I remember even buying the game last year when it went on sale on amazon, amazing news and work from the team! its crazy to imagine last time I checked only until the end of version 2 was done, what a tremendous amount of work has been done so quick!

I remember counting down the days as a kid for dragon quest 10 news. I was so excited. I cannot explain how disappointed I was when I waited, waited, and waited for it to come to the west for them to say years later that I'd never be able to play it. I'm still quite mad about this, but I am excited to play the game finally these years later
In 700 hours I've never had a single problem with the patch, or clarity, this is AN AMAZING job from the team. I hope that more people play this game, I'm still only in the middle of v5, but I would say without any hesitation that version 4 is one of the best story ever told in a Dragon Quest game. Thanks to you too Exalin because It's with your previous video announcement that I discovered that Clarity got a lot better and that I really started playing the game. Before that I tried it after watching Ryan videos, but having to manage the on-screen translation using ahkmon was a little too much for me, so I decided to wait and thanks God I did because Clarity developpement was fast as hell.

This is so strange. I litterally started downloading the game again today and saw your video about versions 1-4 and now you're back on... within the hour of my discovery saying it's the whole game! This is wonderful news. I have the free trial version for now, how far can I get with that before I have to open my purse?
The free trial will take you all the way to the final dungeon of version 2. So that's the entirety of the original 2012 release and like 98% of version 2. Your level will max out at 80 on trial and you will only have access to the base game classes. But that's still pretty much two full RPGs

Would I have to buy a subscription to play the the other versions or would I have to download more software just for it? Is there a video somewhere on that?
You can play to the end of version 2 for free. Buying the current all in one will get you through v6 with one subscription but once V7 comes out you'd have to buy it separately until they update the all in one. This website has any further guides on it that you'd need dqxabbey.com/
I just started in Ethene Village and everything worked fine but once I left my house after the intro the only english text I found was when saving in Abba‘s house and for items found in pots. Anybody know what I did wrong? I followed DQXabbey‘s guide closely and loaded the latest version of DQXclarity.
When you boot clarity you should see a couple toggles. Npc text and several other things are saved to the games server and not in the game itself. Since cutscenes are in your local files those will be translated with clarity. NPC text and the like has to be translated in real time which Clarity can do but you need to toggle it on boot. Sadly anything as said in the video that's saved to the server is still machine translation.
@@ExalinExcels Thank you, that helps me and explains a lot. The additional settings in Clarity don't work for me, yet, but even if I don't get the flavor text I'm still incredibly grateful for being able to experience the main story at all. So far it's been a blast, I have nothing but the greatest respect for the translation team's effort!

The Wii u version was just shut down a few months ago unfortunately. It also would not be compatible with the fan translation as that is PC only
Do you have a video walkthrough on how to set this up? I do much better with video guides. It seems complicated to me but I wanna play SO BADLY

@@FightOstinFight they guide will walk you through it. You pretty much just replace a file and I think clarity will even do it for you now when you boot it the first time. As for playing with other people it works pretty seamlessly. If you want to see it I'm action just look at my most recent video.
