I checked the Spinnaker site after watching this video and was impressed with the colections. I am glad you added them to your offerings. I hope you add inventory to the models listed on your site that are marked out of stock. I would like to purchase 1 or 2 of them..!!👍😎🕔
The close-up of the Croft was nice because it showed the face detail and made me take notice -- it was textured, like bronze, not flat like if it was printed. Talking about details is one thing but showing them brings the review up a level.
This was a bit wierd. I recieved a Spinnaker Croft today in the mail, almost simultaneously with the notification of this video on my phone. Fun coincidence. Thanks Marc for making entertaining and educational watch videoes!
I absolutely love the Fleuss I got from you ( the same SP-5055-03 you showed ). It is a great watch, and really does hit all the selling points that Seiko models in the same price range tend to miss ( sapphire, lumed bezel, hacking, hand winding ). The sandpaper dial texture is really cool, and something I didn't have in my collection. I put a staight end strapcode super engineer bracelet on it for the summer, but that is a nice leather strap that will get worn in the winter. They really didn't cut any corners, Spinnaker really makes a great first impression.
Awesome to see you looking at Spinnaker. I'm looking at getting their new Bradner vintage diver. Seen good reviews of it so far. Love your videos BTW. I'm absolutely new to watches and your vids are always very informative and helpful even to those of us waiting for our first watches to arrive from Amazon. 😁😎 ⌚
Great review Marc. I just recently became interested in Spinnaker watches and these were the 2 models I was torn between. I think I've settled on that blue Fleuss! Headed to your site soon.
Okay, I've watched 3 back-to-back reviews of the Spinnaker Fleuss, each reporting a lug-to-lug of 48, 50, and 51 mm. I wonder which one it is? My wrist is about 6 3/4 so long lug-to-lug watches hang over. Thanks for the vid. Keep at it!
Very nice looking watches. The blue is killer and the small second hand is a different touch. Very nice. I think it was a good decision to bring the brand on-board, Marc.
I DID wonder WHY... the choice of 150M on these Watches 🤔. I also didn’t know, that 150M was the standard, back in the day. So Spinnaker’s choice for their Vintage models, make sense to me now. Thanks for clearing that up Marc. Always informative, as usual. P.S. you should check out & do a review on their Bradner Model... it looks promising.
Thanks marc for another nice video It would be great for you to do a watch and learn about seiko / sii various movt. I'd love to understand all the differences between the 7s26, nh35, 6r15, etc.
Hey Marc, love your videos, very informative! I recently became fascinated by mechanical watches and started to create my own collection 😁 As Interstellar is my favorite movie I would like to add the Hamilton Khaki Pilot Day Date (featured in the movie) to my collection. Is there a reason why you don’t sell Hamilton watches (American brand, produced in Switzerland)? Keep up with the good work !
Very 50 fathoms, people pay 3-400 for Seikos modded to look like this but here your getting a better movement and crystal. Think I’m gonna pick one up, don’t have a blue on blue at the moment.
What type of Lume does the Fleuss have? I understand it's Superluminova, but there are various brightness levels of Superluminova. C1, C3, Old Radium, etc...
@@joshcharlat850 it doesn't resonate with me for some reason. Secondly I've decided to avoid micro brands as much as possible amid focus on more established affordable brssnds such as Seiko, Longines, Tissot, Glycine, Squale for example.
As a person preferring authenticity and transparency, it bothers me that I can't find out much about where this company is based. I hear they're Chinese. If they came out and had a slogan like "proudly Chinese" I'd be more trusting of such companies. Hiding it just makes me think they have something to hide.
Hello. I am allergic to nickel and can't find anything that says if spinnaker stainless steel is "nickel free" or not. Would you know, or perhaps know of a couple brand for nickel free dive style watches. Thank you.
...my initial impression is positive...I’m looking at divers w/ sapphire crystal as an alternative to the 007...also, the lum on these watches is outstanding. Peace.
Just because something is more money doesn't mean it's better; but not hacking doesn't mean something is low quality as well. Like many have pointed out in the past, Patek watches do not hack, and you cannot have a new one for less than 10K about.
Just wondering, why is the Miyota better? They seem to be the exact same but the Seiko has hacking. I agree hacking isn't a big deal but they seem to be the exact same otherwise, including accuracy.
helder gaspar Honestly...it's really a matter of your own opinion. I've own both the 8000 & 9000 series powered watches and find the later the smoothest to run. Virtually, quiet. Purchase a miyota powered watch, compare it to a Seikos, say about 4s36 and see what you think is best.
DJ forGuv'nor yea but a 9000 movement is completely different, better accuracy and higher beat. I'm talking about the 4r36 with this 8218 miyota, I wouldn't say it's upgraded as Marc mentions, I'd say it's slightly downgraded. I wonder if he was thinking of the 9015 which is far superior.
The worst part about many Rolex watches is the damn cyclops crystal. I don't know why anyone likes that or would want to emulate it. Also not bad prices for what you are getting with these two.
what is the material overlay of the bezel of the fifty fathom lookalike , or form of mineral crystal, acrylic or like glass also sapphire ??? if sapphire i will buy
It makes me so mad that the Seiko Samurai's come with the same movement, cost $100 more, and don't have aligned chapter rings and bezels... Meanwhile, another brand can buy the 4R35 (rebranded as NH35) and throw sapphire in there and sell the watch cheaper. Just goes to show you that name brand isn't everything. No reason the Samurai models shouldn't have sapphire for the MSRP.
I thought I was done buying watches for this year. I know it's partly false because I'm still waiting for that monster watch which is still out of stock. Remember when you had that Orient Triton video last month or 2. Well, I bought that Triton from my monster watch fund that I saved up. I just paid back my monster fund and now this Spinnaker video came out. I bought the blue Croft even before this video was over. Guess who's paying that for now ... the monster watch fund again!!!
Manny Your note made me chuckle to myself...very sweet. I'm doing something similar, but I don't want too many watches. Hate to admit I have 2 or 3 in mind. Jeez...
Spinnaker... running after u :) ? Are u sure they werent mistaken :) ? pardon.. yet not very impressive your intro on them.. but then the brand with an amazing name... has much to grow... especially charing almost $800 for top line... :)... there is much more to be desired .. where price doesn't match the product...
Blancpain Fifty Fathoms homage in my opinion. So many start ups borrows from classic designs. Kind of hard to fall in love with a cheap copy, in general i mean. And what's with a 50 m water resistance for at dive watch? This watch is like a beautiful lady on your arm with no brains :-).
That first watch is just the right amount of basic for me, glad you started holding them!
Best, IC
Thanks for checking it out!
That offset second hand is so cool! Love the hands and bezel as well. Damn it Marc! Stop luring me lol
Haha, thank you.
Glad you added them...just bought the Cahill today. To my wife's dismay, my second watch from you in two months.
I checked the Spinnaker site after watching this video and was impressed with the colections. I am glad you added them to your offerings. I hope you add inventory to the models listed on your site that are marked out of stock.

Yes, we are building it up.
The close-up of the Croft was nice because it showed the face detail and made me take notice -- it was textured, like bronze, not flat like if it was printed. Talking about details is one thing but showing them brings the review up a level.
Thanks so much. I try to make the watches shine on their own merits.
This was a bit wierd. I recieved a Spinnaker Croft today in the mail, almost simultaneously with the notification of this video on my phone. Fun coincidence. Thanks Marc for making entertaining and educational watch videoes!
Divine happenings!
Long Island Watch haha most likely.

I really like the dial with the really detailed ticks! Lume is great
Thank you!

LOL, thank you, and welcome aboard to this 'hobby' !!!
Just don't tell my girlfriend :D
DAM IT MARC... well at least I will know what time im getting divorced... ordering now... thanks, Will.
Thanks Will!
.my wife doesn't understand either. I know a good divorce lawyer.

Great review Marc. I just recently became interested in Spinnaker watches and these were the 2 models I was torn between. I think I've settled on that blue Fleuss! Headed to your site soon.
That blue one is a very cute number. :) I really like how Spinnaker lumed the bezel as well.
Pretty cool heh?
Okay, I've watched 3 back-to-back reviews of the Spinnaker Fleuss, each reporting a lug-to-lug of 48, 50, and 51 mm. I wonder which one it is? My wrist is about 6 3/4 so long lug-to-lug watches hang over. Thanks for the vid. Keep at it!
Wow! The watches look really cool. They seem like great value for money.
They are, thank you!
I really like the brand, especially the Croft, very nice value at the price point.
Indeed.
Man, if that Croft didn't have a cyclops on it, I would take the plunge without thinking. What a spiffy looking timepiece!
They are gorgeous
I like it. It looks very similar to my Glycine Combat Sub.
A bit, sure.
With a nice bracelet to replace the leather strap I think think these would look even better. Nice watches
Thanks for watching.
Very nice looking watches. The blue is killer and the small second hand is a different touch. Very nice. I think it was a good decision to bring the brand on-board, Marc.
Thanks. Me too!
Kevin Hendricks I agree.
A sapphire crystal in that price range is impressive.
Nice, but I think I like the new Hemel HD Diver line. I haven't seen these in person, but looking forward to when they come out.

Just my guess; not sure I'm right though :)
What do you think of the Zelos brand and more specifically the swordfish?
Thanks marc for another nice video It would be great for you to do a watch and learn about seiko / sii various movt. I'd love to understand all the differences between the 7s26, nh35, 6r15, etc.
Thank you, will consider it.
Ug! My favourite style (5055-5) is still sold out...rage!!! Lovely watches that fleuss style is lovely!
Sorry and thanks!

39mm I'd definitely buy one..
Seems to be a recurring theme.
wheres the 39mm diver??
Giant Squid gym.. that's the word fatty
Giant Squid wrist size doesnt increase too much with muscle mass.
I just sold my Fluess, but I highly recommend them if you are after an affordable well made watch that is very smart looking.
Thanks for watching.
primecreator Why did you sell it? Just too big?
@@joshcharlat850 it doesn't resonate with me for some reason. Secondly I've decided to avoid micro brands as much as possible amid focus on more established affordable brssnds such as Seiko, Longines, Tissot, Glycine, Squale for example.

They are from hong kong, same company like AVI 8 watches
mark, u mean the crystal is raised correct ??? (relative to the bezel ) on the Fifty Fathoms Homage (1st watch) ...??? not the bezel is raised...
Really like the Fleuss. Would absolutely love it if the case were just a bit smaller, say 41mm or 42mm. I still see myself getting one nevertheless !!
Thanks much!

Obviously the smart move to review what you sell. You are a wise merchant; no doubt these videos drive your sales.

So the Moyota movement is an upgrade to the Seiko movement even though it does not hack ?

That's OK, thanks for checking it out.
Hey Marc. I wonder if you'll be stocking the Spence DRABs?
I have the Fluess Marc, and though it doesn't get a whole lot of wrist time, when I do wear it I often wonder why I don't go for it more.
Yes, it really is a great looker.
Hello Marc! When will you be getting more of the Fleuss in stock? I just checked the web shop and they are currently listed as being out of stock.
I'm super interested in the new Spinnaker Bradner (SP-5057). Any thoughts on that line? Plans to carry it?
Didn't get to hold one yet.
I have the SP 5057 and I love it, you won't be disappointed in the piece.
You should carry the Bradner.
We will.
yeah I think i'm going to get one
Great!

Are you going to get any of the Dievas Maya MK11 in stock?
No longer.
what is the material overlay of the bezel of the fifty fathom lookalike , or form of mineral crystal, acrylic or like glass also sapphire ??? if sapphire i will buy
I think it's more like acrylic by feel.
I thought I read that it was bakerlight
Great value watches
Yes!
If they made a 38-39mm version I'd buy it. Nudge Nudge.
You can say that to almost any watch company, right? :)
Long Island Watch Absolutely, hopefully one day they'll catch on.
I wish they'd used the domed crystal on the fleuss :(
Marc wait till you get hold of the Bradner.
Can't wait!
