      @Tinman Elite Sleep is not necessarily the contributing factors to his/her 60% recovery. Recovery constitutes of 3 factors that WHOOP uses to measure you recovery and sleep is only one of them. Therefore, @Mr Alan Lam could have gotten a brilliant sleep quality but due to the other two factors, received an overall recovery percentage of 60%. So if I were you, I would’ve said: “Gotta get that recovery to perform!!”

    Running everyday with a strict workout regime and diet. And then you stop running for 30 days and it’s like someone deleted your game file and you’re back running a 8 minute mile

    4,000 calories burned in a day is insane! I can't imagine how you guys have to eat just to maintain weight with all that exercise. For context, I'm on a weight gaining program where my target is to eat about 4,000 cals or so a day as someone who's 6' 5" 190lbs. So it's crazy to hear that 4,000 calories is just the baseline for you guys to make up for what you burn off.

    I run, I cycle,used to do weights. Basically only individual sports. All great but there's no FUN in it ! You basically first race against yourself. Team sports are way better in any way possible !!!

      I agree! I am always so curious about the economics of their lifestyle. I mean, I’m not sayin they all need to display screen caps of their bank accounts, but I would love a vid about how professional runners support themselves, both as individuals and as an organization.

    I don't think the whoop is a good predictor for workouts and recovery. Some days I'm feeling it and my whoop recovery is at 25% but I still go out and kill it. Why should an overpriced hr sensor tell me how my day is going to be?
    "Never question free speed"

      Kurt Metrose maybe short term you can get away with it but long term consistent lack of proper sleep & recover will catch up to any athlete! That’s why we use it, for consistency. Gotta keep the ball rolling year round.
