All the tradition and family history in that baptism dress is so amazing. The knitters dream. No wonder you are such an amazing knitter, youre part of a family that appreciates and passes on the joy of making. Also the red looks lovely on you Inga.

The Baptismal gown is breathtakingly beautiful! I love the tradition of embroidering names in it. It speaks well of the name of your podcast! Your red dress is pretty and looks so comfortable! I enjoyed the scenery at the end, as your country is one beautiful place after another. Thank you. 😊

First when you showed the speckled sweater I was like: "Yes, you're right, that's not your colors, that's not what you wear." But when you put it on I was like: 😲! It looks absolutely fantastic on you, you should definitely keep it!

Speaking of tradition, our family has a baptism gown made by my great grandmother, now being used by my great nieces and nephews. It's 102 years old and has been worn by over 50 babies. SO wish we would have thought to embroider all the names and dates on it. We use a decorative pillow for that with each birth.

Hey ❤ for the backing of the stella quilt cushions blanket I personally would take It to someone with a sewing machine (or do It myself) and sew some nice and light linen fabric. Bc another layer of knitting fabric i think would be heavy and a lot of boring work too..

Hi from Jan at Nodaway, Iowa, USA
1st, what I'm knitting, the morning ramble cardigan from WOODSMOKE pattern book continues to grow. I was given a skein of dark green tweed from my brothers visit to Ireland, I put it together with an undyed warm Grey in a colorwork yoke. I used a tradional
Celtic motif. And I'm knitting a cabled pair of socks in green tweed to go with.

You look great in your beautifully knitted red dress. You, knit such beautiful garments for Nellie. Her Christening robe is so beautiful. You have always amazed me with your eye for colour and for what suits you. Take care ❤😊

Your Lola dress is beautiful! And I love the Charlie for Nellie too! I thoroughly enjoyed this long episode, and I really appreciate that you don't stress too much about there being some interruptions. Life happens, always, and I'd much rather get to knit with you more often, than to wait until there is time with no interruptions (does such a time ever happen??). 💖I would love an episode on making sweaters with yarn on hand. I have done this some, and had pretty good results, but could definitely use ideas and tips. I am working on The Article by Kate Davies. I just got started on it. I'm using yarn from my stash though (with the exception of getting a little more J&S color 202 for the neutral). Lastly, I vote for frogging your herringbone jumper (or maybe giving it a wide-ish crew neck?). It is gorgeous, but wearing something that prickles isn't fun. And it is hard to wear a turtleneck high enough to block the pricklies. Didn't mean to write a novel for a comment, but I'm not going to apologize. Thank you!!

Hi Inga. My daughter, her husband and three grandchildren were in Iceland and Norway (mostly Norway) where my Son-in-Law was born and lived, before marrying my daughter and moving to America, and they visited his family and had a party for his Dad who turned 80. I wish I could have gone with them, but they were short of space and I don’t like flying. I finished knitting a blanket for my 19 year old granddaughter in sections of purple and white for her college where she is going for her second year to learn nursing. Your knits are amazing, and your red top is beautiful. I learned to knit by my Mom as a kid and I learned to crochet later on in life and I have done needlepoint for years in my younger years, and all the pictures I made in Needlepoint are hanging throughout my house, and I enjoy looking at them. I enjoy knitting now for the last three years every day, but I don’t do complicated patterns like you. Congratulations on having your baby girl. I wish her health and all the best ALWAYS. The same goes for you and all your family. Take Care. 😊

The baptism dress is gorgeous. I love the family tradition, it’s priceless. You have so many fabulous FOs & WIPs for you & Nelli, I’m totally in awe of your knitting! As a newby knitter I’ve found out the hard way that squishy baby alpaca can be irritating when I used it to make a Sophie scarf. I ended up sewing some fabric on the inside of the scarf so it doesn’t touch the front of my neck. It’s a shame about your sweater as the high neck is lovely & cosy. Perhaps go the v-neck to avoid the itch. Best wishes 🧶

Hi Inga! You are looking gorgeous, as usual. Loved seeing your upload and jumped right on it. That christening set is amazing! Such an impressive heirloom to have in the family. Re little stripoed raglan sweater = embroider a chain stitch up the jogged strip and match with one on the other side? Also an icord for the closing of the gorgeous green dress is my vote for that question. And i'm not knitting on anything atm, i have a wip of a waistcoat waiting for darker days cos in the meantime, i'm gardening ❤❤❤
