I don't completely remember, guessing it's in the 60 to 70 pound range. It's not overly heavy, but I do not have the exact number. It was lighter than the stock rear bumper that I removed. Thanks for watching.
Same here...I don't have a Taco, but enjoy the DIY process. For me, being in the garage wrenching is calming.....most of the time.lol. about your plate lights, AutoZone has them plate lights that also act as fastners for the plate. I think they only have the shiny stuff but a few sprays of black can take care of that. Thanks for the awesome content🤙🏽
Thanks for the heads up, I ordered a set of some tiny LED lights with through bolts I will be installing soon with a connection to the factory harness. Thanks for watching.
Not sure if you found a solution for your license plate lights. Rigd Supply makes an awesome license plate light kit. It's plug and play and plugs into trailer hitch . I have it on my 4runner after I had my custom spare tire swing out installed.
Thanks man, it's a great bumper. Adding spots for the BSM and hiding wires is easy, half day of work tops. It's just going to take some work. Thanks for watching.
I think it could be done too, I just have some hesitation about messing up the calibration. I’ve read on Tacoma world that lots of people have had issues. I have some thoughts though how I might make something tho
Agreed, I'm also not sure how many after market bumpers are actually rated for towing. After handling it up close, comparing it to the stock bumper/hitch, and how the install points are all the same with the stock hardware. I'm confident it can tow anything a mid size truck can within reason. My opinion of course. Thanks for watching.
Thought I heard some more random mumbling in the beginning of the video LOL bumper looks like a checks off a lot of boxes light weight High clearance and looks good truck looks great bro
What do you run for your trailer hitch after this install? Any links highly appreciated boss! Ive watched this video 100x to get my rear bumper right 😊
Thanks, appreciate it. I run an Agency six block and a soft shackle for the most part. Started here - amzn.to/47P5Ue0 Then picked up a soft shackle amzn.to/3uVedX9
Me too, on the body kit does it bulge out only over the wheel? I would assume it has to get back to the bumper line? Keep us posted please. Thanks for watching.
Slick look love it brother, outgear advertises the tube bumper as “not rated” for towing but I’m sure it is. Have you tried towing/recoveries with it yet?
Thank you, no towing or recoveries yet. I feel the same. It mounts to the frame with the exact same mounting locations as the stock bumper. I'm not really sure how many after market companies actually rate their bumpers for towing. Thanks for watching.
I didn't see your apare, I'm just curious what this bumper looks like at the factory location. I need the bed for my camping gear so keeping it in there is not an option. Just curious how ot would look if you have any pictures.
I have my spare in the bed. You can look online to see if there are individuals running this bumper that have the spare mounted in the stock location. My tires are to big for the stock spot.
I just got the bumper today. I didn’t receive the instructions so I worried in getting the cut wrong. Do you just eyeball it or did you have instructions with measurements?
No instructions. Get the end cap installed correctly and follow the end cap line. Joe is a good dude, you can reach out to him via IG. He will answer any questions you have. He just had a baby so give him a little time to answer you. Thanks for watching.
I do not believe you can just remove them. It will trigger an issue with the sensors. I'm not completely sure. They may be a way to incorporate them into the bumper. Thanks for watching.
I explained in the video abut the tag lights, and did another video on installing tag lights. I have since moved the tag to the tailgate and that also has an install video with tag lights. Thanks for watching.
I have not towed anything with it. It mounts to the exact same points as the factory bumper with the factory hardware. You check and see if any company that makes aftermarket bumpers will rate theirs for towing. Thanks for watching.
Yes, good eye. 78 Maggie raced out. I recently sold it after about 10 years of ownership. It was a super fun bike and a rewarding build. Crazy fun ripping around the neighborhood with it. Thanks for watching.
The fact that the caps don’t follow the taillight is driving me crazy. That and the fact that you can’t tow with this bumper just seems like a massive design flaw.
I think the lines are perfect, it set up exactly the way I like it. I don't tow anything. Also, if you take a good look at the stock tow hitch, this bumper is much more beefy and uses the same bolts/set up as the stock one. For whatever that's worth.
@@ClassyTacos The lines going down look great. I’m talking about the caps you had to put on just under the taillight. They’re not made well to match the taillight angles.
Hi Do you interested in adding some high quality lighting upgrade for your car? We're the pro auto lighting manufacturer for nearly 20yrs history and we're looking for sponsorship:)
It has tabs for driving lights, I showed them in the video. I'm fine without the sensors, we all lived with them long before they were invented. Thanks for watching.
@@ClassyTacos Yes has a spot for light cubes but like you said you need to find a way to mount your license plate lights. But it's a very good looking bumper just priced a little high I think.
@@ClassyTacos 1. Can't install a spare swing out carrier (but one would get a different bumper anyway). 2. License plate issues. 3. Towing issues? 4. Less protection from big rocks/boulders. 5 light issues.5 can't stand on it. (minor gripe). 6. Looks cheap and flimsy. That said, it looks like a great bumper for a baja rig/racing truck. Would be very functional for that. But, it seems like a real waste to use this for overland, offroad use, daily driver, etc.
Awesome truck, bumper and install vid. I'll be ordering this soon for my 3rd gen long bed. Question: I live in So Cal (Outgear Solutions, also in So Cal) and was wondering how long it took to receive it once you ordered it??
Thank you. Mine came in quickly considering the ongoing mail issues. Roughly about a month and a 1/2 to 2 months. If you are close you can pick it up or have him install it for you. Thanks for watching.
I just got the bumper today. I didn’t receive the instructions so I worried in getting the cut wrong. Do you just eyeball it or did you have instructions with measurements?

I don't have a Tacoma, but I do enjoy the DIY attitude you have towards your upgrades. Nice video
I appreciate that!
Sweet!I like how it angels to the sliders from the side! One continuous line!🤙🏼
Right on
I love the prerunner style vibes with this bumper. something difficult to find as bolt-on in an overland world.
Thanks, I agree. I really like the high and tight look. Thanks for watching.
Any idea how much the bumper weighs?

Such a clean look. Definitely having this bumper number 1 on my list until I save enough to pull the trigger
Thanks, it looks an fit so good.

This was awesome. Thank you. I am still on the fence. How did you choose the angle for the cut?
Thanks, the angle for the cut follows the trim piece that goes under the tail light. Thanks for watching.
Looks good, nice and simple too and the price is not too bad! Thank you for the video!
Thanks for watching!
Love it. When I go for a new bumper it will be this type
Thank you very much. Joe at Outgear is a great dude. Helmet on all day welding. The products are near perfect. Thanks for watching.
Absolutely great video 🤙 Love the Bumper! ❤🇨🇦👍🥸

Ahhh this looks great. I want a HC bumper, but I don’t want to lose my BSM

It's a really nice bumper. Simple look with clean lines. Too bad it's not rated for towing (per their website).

Might be a dumb question but could you use a tire carrier (the one that uses the hitch receiver) with this setup?
Yes, it an be done. There is a guy in Cali running one. I occasionally see his posts on IG. He also has a Quicksand Taco. Thanks for watching.

I have not towed anything with the bumper. It does mount to the exact same location with the same factory bolts.
Where did you get the side TRD decal? The one that's on the cover photos. Thanks!
I picked it up on ETSY. There is a link in the decal video. Thanks for watching.
For tacomas with tech package can i just take off the bsm and rear sensors and not have problems?
I do not believe you can just remove them. It will trigger an issue with the sensors. I'm not completely sure. They may be a way to incorporate them into the bumper. Thanks for watching.
What about the tag lights? Its not street legal without lights on tag
I explained in the video abut the tag lights, and did another video on installing tag lights. I have since moved the tag to the tailgate and that also has an install video with tag lights. Thanks for watching.

So u can't put a tow hitch were the red cable hook is at. I tow every day
Great video and awesome bumper! Question for you, what spring rate are you running up front?
Thank you, almost positive it was 650. thanks for watching.
Curious what you did with the exhaust? Cut at rear axle?
Yup, mine is cut right above the axle. Thanks for watching.
DON'T use the stock license plate lights. Get a pair of bolts that HAVE THE LIGHTS IN THEM. That will give you the cleanest look ;)
Ya that’s what I ordered. Will have install coming soon
Will this tilt up enough to work with a 1” body lift without having any odd looking gaps?
The gap will still be there. It sits as high as possible attached to the frame.
How much does this bumper weigh?
I don't remember the exact number but it was close to the stock bumper and hitch combo. It's not a huge change in weight.
That little piece that sits under the tail light sucks for fit. Doesn’t follow the shape of the light at all
I think it's perfect. I have no issues with it.
Those bunker caps don’t match the lines.
Ok, thanks for watching.

Kinda seems like a downgrade to me. I mean, if this is strictly for a baja racing setup sure, but anything else, na.
$1000 for a tube bumper no spot for driving lights, or tech sensors. looks nice but high price for not that much.
