This has been a epic journey over the past few months I don't think many garages would be able to pull something like this but this man is doing all the work himself
Most important.... You're brave enough to try, and you learn from experience. The nice thing is that if you hate it, you buy more steel and do it again. Nice job....
There’s some beautiful camping spots/offroad trails along the Middle Fork Feather River up near Oroville California…Milsap Bar Road or Quincy La Porte Road.
Awesome job! You will look back at this time in your life when you are older and come to realize that it will be the best time of your life. Amazing transformation.
Love the content, I bought a 2007 fj cruiser at a salvage auction with front end damage and I'm building it in a similar theme, cheap and built in my garage lol. So I love seeing someone else on this fun journey of D.I.Y. Keep up the great content, and keep up the awesome beer shots.
I can relate to the frustration that comes with teaching yourself how to do something new with no guidance from anyone with experience. Perseverance and deep breathing kind of helps! Lol Great job, I've enjoyed watching the progress on your truck.
I personally like the simple style that you choose to design for that bumper man! And hey it’s a story to remember that bumper even more! Don’t beat yourself up! Goal accomplished!
Mike, this has been awesome to see how much dedication you put into the Taco! Honestly, if I saw this on the road, I wouldn’t have any clue you did your front/rear bumpers, and the rock sliders yourself man. It’s overall pretty seamless! So legit
If you do Utah I highly recommend the San Rafael gorge and the little grand canyon. Incredible trails and incredible scenery and very little crowds because everyone goes to the national parks instead.
Honestly if you want camping and wheeling, Utah is the place to be. Moab has good trails and Zions is amazing to camp at. Def at least consider them. Awesome progress on the Taco!!
You bette seal the little 2 slots on top of the bed side under the back glass with zip and peal or silicone because water come in. I did the 6 foots rails to be sure and perfectly dry. Same acces cab, maunal and soft topper setup for me but i have an Off Road.
Man I'm glad you showed us how much parts are for this type of bumper. Gives us an idea how much fabricators are charging 💪🦵 for these prebuilt. Eeesh!
Moab, Utah Durango, Colorado - Silverton, Colorado - Ouray, Colorado. All three are an hour apart from each other. And the alpine loop starts in Silverton. That takes you almost do denver from what I remember.
I’ve been following since the initial clean up of all the shit in the interior! Great progress on the build bro. Need to get you some sponsors so you can get some funding coming in!
A couple weeks ago I ended up binge watching all of your videos and haven’t stopped since. With all the knowledge and info you give out there, your channels bound to blow up soon. You should come out to the Pure 4x4 base camp trip out in the Tahoe area may 13th! Would love to see this rig
Yeah man, can’t hate on this build… I like how your design instinct has carried from the front bumper through the sliders into the rear, good stuff. Oh and you can catch some good camping and off-roading at Pismo Beach on the Central Coast here in Cali.
I'm late to the party but I just wanted to say that of course it sucks to make a mistake, but that's how you learn. You did more than most who just pay the fab shop to do it for them and go Mall Crawling. It looks good enough and seems functional enough. I would have probably dropped a bit of coin to get it powder coated or Line-X sprayed. But really good job Dude.
Pick up some rubber edge guard trim to put on the cut box side. Cleans it up a lot. I used this when doing a viper cut on my truck. Sick bumper Mike! If I had the skills I would build one for myself!
I really enjoyed watching you build this rear bumper and liked how you just went for it and made it work, also great edit you are hilarious keep it up truck looks nice !!!!
Brunet Island in Cornell WI is a super cool place to camp if you are coming over this far. The entire campsite is on an island in the middle of the Chippewa River.
Dude Nevada is so underrated every single road out there is sweet especially for this set up should hit up the ruby mountains and the bird reserve out there absolutely beautiful
Tons of awesome backcountry camping in & around Capitol Reef NP. If you make it up to Spokane/Coure D’alene there are tons of good trails that can bring you to lakeside campsites.
“We’re broke out here” boy, I don’t think you know what broke means with a badass truck like that😂 love the channel my man!! The build has come a long way🤙🏼
This has been a epic journey over the past few months I don't think many garages would be able to pull something like this but this man is doing all the work himself
I totally agree. I love these updates and DIY mods. It makes me want to start welding.
This has quickly become my favorite Taco build on all of youtube!!! Love the videos brother, keep em up!! 🍻
Most important.... You're brave enough to try, and you learn from experience. The nice thing is that if you hate it, you buy more steel and do it again. Nice job....
Yes indeed!
There’s some beautiful camping spots/offroad trails along the Middle Fork Feather River up near Oroville California…Milsap Bar Road or Quincy La Porte Road.
I hope the previous owner is watching this amazing transformation. Great job.
These are the kinds of DIY videos I'm here for. Great filming, editing, honesty and goal. Love it.
Awesome job! You will look back at this time in your life when you are older and come to realize that it will be the best time of your life. Amazing transformation.
I really like how you persisted through anything. Great Job....!

Goes without saying, an epic video with the Taco at Yosemite! Make me want to build a truck my man, love the content.
Boy don't sell yourself short my friend. Your extremely talented. I like your creations better than any of the store bought crap.
Still love the videos, truck really has come a long way. Car people in Cali are great. Cheers from your Alabama fans.
I personally like the simple style that you choose to design for that bumper man! And hey it’s a story to remember that bumper even more! Don’t beat yourself up! Goal accomplished!
From the removing of all that trash to figuring out the engine to the rear bumper, --hats off to your great video's.
Mike I am really impressed by your knowledge and skills! love the taco and how far its come
Mike, this has been awesome to see how much dedication you put into the Taco! Honestly, if I saw this on the road, I wouldn’t have any clue you did your front/rear bumpers, and the rock sliders yourself man. It’s overall pretty seamless! So legit
Man this is some old school bare bones fab. Great to watch.
I come for the lesson and stay for the entertainment! Love this channel!!
Wow. Envious and inspired by your work here. Thank you for sharing all the challenges as well!
Love your videos very educational. My tacoma is a 2023 access cab too. I think access cab make our truck look better. Like a real truck.
Love the kick flip and beer on the side. Nice work!
Let me know if you make it over to Ouray, I’ll load up and head out to meet you. Absolutely enjoy watching the build process of your truck!
Love your channel dude, you seem like such a cool down to earth guy.
Thank you!
If you do Utah I highly recommend the San Rafael gorge and the little grand canyon. Incredible trails and incredible scenery and very little crowds because everyone goes to the national parks instead.
That exhaust tip is 10 extra horsepower! The bumper looks great! Well done!
Ha thanks!
Penny Pines. Near Eureka california. ABout 45 minutes south. About 50 miles of trails, campsites, and a lake about 20 min from stage post
Wow… just incredible fortitude.
Honestly if you want camping and wheeling, Utah is the place to be. Moab has good trails and Zions is amazing to camp at. Def at least consider them. Awesome progress on the Taco!!
Perfect diy video man. You simplified it for us. Came out 👍
Dude, I feel your pain! Glad you kept the mistakes in so we can learn from them.
Very enjoyable man!!! Keep on Truckin!!!

Absolutely!
I've thoroughly enjoyed all your videos on this truck, but I think this one was my favorite. So awesome. Thank you for the great video.
Moab, Utah

Damn, I've loved watching the transformation of this Taco. Can't wait until the next video!
This truck was such a good investment for your channel. Been awesome watching the progress.
Great video. You’re small issues let other folks know what to watch out for. We’re all learning!
Absolutely, learning along the way
this bumper came out super slick even if you didn’t 100% like the bending!
Absolutely in LOVE with that soft topper look! Great job!
Looking good Mike. And totally trademark “dirtbag over lander”
Great slogan to start merch for the channel
Rock Front is an OHV just north of Santa Maria California. It is a really cool place to offroad, take the dirtbikes out and camp.
I’ve been following since the initial clean up of all the shit in the interior! Great progress on the build bro. Need to get you some sponsors so you can get some funding coming in!
Good job Mike!
Thanks for showing your mistakes so we could learn from them. Well done sir.
You can buy pre-bent corners. Or pack with sand, heat it with an oxyacetylene torch and bend your radius without a tube bender.
The level of effort is what counts.. love the work. Now build a custom rack for the softopper - something like Datinfab's Rack.
For mountain biking check out Fruita Colorado, Moab Utah, and Sedona Arizona. You can’t go wrong with any of those.
Love the videos. Have fun camping take lots of pictures 😊
A camper shell with a homemade bed platform is the best. I have the same type of setup in my rig
Once again, fantastic work. Truck is looking awesome, bonus love for the soft topper, I need one of those
They’re pretty cool!
Man I remember you! You did engine swap since it was blown. Incredible work!!!!
Thank you! That’s me.

You never grow unless you make mistakes. Great job man, looks great! I can’t even do all that myself.
Yeah man, can’t hate on this build… I like how your design instinct has carried from the front bumper through the sliders into the rear, good stuff. Oh and you can catch some good camping and off-roading at Pismo Beach on the Central Coast here in Cali.
I think this turned out awesome, definitely helps set off the look
Arizona has loads of great trails, if you are in the Phoenix area try the back way to crown king
I'm calling it right now, Mike will be opening a Fab garage! I'll drink a few brewskies with Mike at this point lol.
That taco is coming along pretty good. Keep modding.
🙌🏻
Well done, Truck looks sick!
Thank you!

Brunet Island in Cornell WI is a super cool place to camp if you are coming over this far. The entire campsite is on an island in the middle of the Chippewa River.
Too far at the moment, but I’ve heard great things
Dude, that high clearance bumper is very nice!
Thank you!
Also if you make it to Spokane we have an awesome Mountain Bike area (Beacon Hill) And lots of good beer.
Looks fucking great! I love your videos. Especially the zzzt zzzt zzzt of welding and then a pssshhh of a beer opening! Lol

come to bellingham washington. awesome mountain bike trails and lots of camping around
Still killing it. 😜
Dude the sand in the tube and bending cracked me up. Only because I literally do something like this every time I work on my truck.
Zion in Utah is always fun and Ofcourse Moab is fun for off roading and camping. It’s cold rn in a lot of places in the west though.
Like all the time you put into the taco enjoy every episode thx Sam H .
Thank you!
"Its like a lack of tools and a lack of skill" love the honesty lol👍
You absolutely have to stop in silverton and ouray, Colorado. Awesome spots. Great hiking, wheeling, etc.
I’d love too. Been there once before. Unfortunately it’s snowed in this time of the year.
“We’re broke out here” boy, I don’t think you know what broke means with a badass truck like that😂 love the channel my man!! The build has come a long way🤙🏼
Turned out pretty good! Your going to want to fishplate that hitch area before you tow anything relatively heavy though
I currently live by whitesands in New Mexico and there’s a lot of cool spots here surprisingly. Cloud Croft, NM is a fun place too
Looks good man! Give me ideas for my Taco. I like the beer breaks too lol. Good stuff!
You'd love Idaho. Stanley has some amazing views of the Sawtooth mountains. Check out Redfish Lake too.
looks awesome, good job
This has been a cool build series.
My boy pimpin wit the Tacoma, keep making great videos homie💯🔥
Been wanting a bumper like that for so long for my Tacoma, might need to pick one up after watching this vid
Looks awesome!! Quick question, what gauge is the sheet metal you got ? Thanks
gotta make your way into oregon man. bend/ sisters area gonna be the best weather
Good stuff, I'm doing a very similar bumper build. Did you drill into the tube were the nuts are welded for the license plate?
Sick Video!! The build is amazing! I wish one day I could build bumpers as you do!
