we definitely agree on some of this for sure! I might need to rewatch Kong 2005 because everyone swears by it. Im so happy to see the love for Kong: Skull island! that movie is so damn good and underrated In my opinion. and of course Kong vs Godzilla is amazing! thank you for sharing your ranking, I love seeing what others think and how these movies line up for them. thank you so much!
I didn’t like the Peter Jackson King Kong either, I think Peter Jackson assumes just because he made lord of the rings (Which is amazing and no hate against lord of the rings) he thinks anything he makes is good. For example “The Lovely Bones” absolutely sucked or even “Mortal Engines” which I don’t like. He doesn’t make only trash because “district 9” was cool but he definitely doesn’t try with remakes/book to film adaptions besides the Middle Earth Movies.
💯 thank you so much for the comment, and I agree. It’s a breath of fresh air to finally find someone who agrees with me..for me it just doesn’t capture the charm or greatness of honestly any other kong film...and some of those effects do not hold up well today! But I agree LOTR is cool for sure
