This. I'm excited for Wilds, but I don't want to deep dive all the mechanics and maps and monsters yet, I want to save that for the full release. I think they hit a whole new level with the music score for Wilds. The more I reflect on it, the more it's clear, this was a dream and passion project. Perhaps the original visualization and concept made a reality. Always pictured one day MH being open world, full on open world. I remember I believe either in a conversation or the old forums saying about it. The you just leave town and just go out there and hunt, do whatever. And now? NOW that is becoming a reality. We have at least TWO environments(biomes) and of course Kunafa village in there, all seamless and open. Will there be another map connecting somewhere? Are they all going to be connected? If say, we need to traverse from one to another at a time, or "fast travel" to another pair of maps I'd be happy in that alone. But if -everything- aside from those special arena maps is interconnected somehow? It'd be a dream come true.
I think It's pretty much confirmed that all maps are connected? There were these frozen caverns in one of the caves in the Windward Plains in the demo, maybe it will open up later in the game to connect to it to the ice locale? I mean the it's way more obvious with the Scarlet Forest as the demo said you can't go there yet, but could be? Just theory crafting. I really hope for arena maps to be just another location you can get to as well like any other, but so far it does seem like a childhood dream come true, myself coming from the second generation :)

When the beta ended I was like 5 mins into a Doshaguma hunt with my friend. We both got disconnected but got to continue playing the hunt, so I was still playing for around 10-20 mins after it closed and I just ran around until it kicked me out. Played for over 30 hours on the PC beta altogether ;)

Immediately after the beta ended i had the thought to myself that i should have recorded an hour of the lobby music. It's so good. Thanks Ruri for having this foresight. I might think you have some bad takes on the game, but only a true fan would think of this video.
@rurikhan oh don't get me wrong, I still enjoy and appreciate all the attention you give Monster Hunter. I grew up with this series, I'm just happy to see more people discovering that same passion. Wilds is looking like everything I imagined monster Hunter could be. I can't wait to see the final product and the reception of it. Keep it up man.
The Tent theme gives me a very homey vibe with a bit of dreaminess to it, and it puts me at ease in the worst times... reminds me of the ambience of FU and 3U... I love Monster Hunter so much ❤️

I have one request for Ruri as you have some.contact with the devs or community managers. After the beta and low end pc graphics and performance issues. Even some with issues with medium/higher end I would love for them to know we would love a demo closer to launch to see how performance is before launch with a newer version of the game. Basically I'd love to know if my PC will run the newer launch version well or if I need to get the ps5 version if not. ❤ the content and the game

i dont agree that it is. the only thing that felt worse is performance imo. and thats because its a beta of an earlier build of the game meant to stress test the game and get feedback. i wouldnt compare the two especially performance and graphics until launch
Though imperfect i miss that beta. Haven’t been able to jump back to metaphor since sunday😞 i just want more wilds. Currently having some hard health issues your coverage @rurikhan made the week more bearable thanks chief
