Yoooo so great to hear!!! Congrats on the move in. I’d love to hear about the details of your base/commute to work… I thought American didn’t have a base in NYC? I’m at a regional and thinking about the future so I’d love to hear what the quality of life is.
I moved there when I was 24! Amazing, magical place to live, but in the end, I prefer the wide open spaces of my home state of Minnesota- much less claustrophobic. But NYC was magical and perfect for that time of life for me, and the times & people were unforgettable. I was open to all possibilities the city offered and saw each day as an adventure to explore when I wasn’t working- and it was one of the best times of my life and have given me some of the wildest stories.

Born and raised in NY all my life, some stations have that local on the upper platform / express on the bottom platform, or northbound upper platform / southbound lower platform, or other way around. Most stations they are across from each other. Just know if you're in Manhattan, if you need to travel south, look for downtown signs, if you're travel northbound, look for uptown signs. Welcome to NYC!
Not sure why you can’t do flying videos anymore. That’s why I came to the channel, and many others in the industry do these vlogs. If you start those back up, I’ll resubscribe, but if not, best wishes to you!

Living my dream! Wrapping up CFI in a few weeks and grinding my way to the airlines (if hiring stays constant, which is unlikely). Fell in love with NYC last summer so that’s my target. I’m 42 but it’s never to late to start a new chapter.

Yo...welcome to NYC! I am Brooklyn born and raised, but currently live and work out on the west coast. Don't worry...that 50th Street C/E train station can be a bit confusing to negotiate at first. I went to HS just two blocks from that station back in the day. Looking foward to watching you have a boat load of new experiences in the city that never sleeps!

Thank you for sharing your move there to NY. It is nice to go out with the restaurants, shops and everything else!! Great city to be in. I lived there back in the early 1970s and visited back since then because family there.

There's a pub called O'Haras Pub that hosts a number of characters (regulars and others) that can provide an amazing historical perspective like no other place I have visited in New York City.

Honestly some of the best bagel/breakfast sandwiches are from local bodegas. Bryant Park Market has one of the best. I've lived in the city 13 years and never bother standing in long lines at the popular bagel spots...very rookie and touristy usually. But all that said, welcome to the city and hope to run into you at some point!

don't know you BUT find your channel fun especially since you are an airline pilot and I believe with my "favorite" carrier AA...(yes??)... I am retired and live now in PA....am a bit of an aviation geek....though I only worked a few years in my late teens at Newark Airport....I worked a few years in Manhattan(in finance on Wall St) AND.. I think NEW YORK CITY is going to be a great experience....Blessings on your life and future.....

I would be soooo lost, and be a tourist hot mess 😂. When my flight restrictions are lifted because I’m wrapping up on some of the things with my cancer, but there are so many things I want to see. Too many great bagel spots to say one is the best. But Friedman's is a great breakfast spot. And ichiran next door has some of the best ramen noodles. W31st between 6th and 7th Ave. 3 min walk from Penn Station. I live on 31/6 so im there often. I have about 100 good recommendations though lol
