Be careful about the slider to hide the webcam, it has been advised by apple to not use it and it may crack your screen when closing!

Another reason to not cover your webcam is that laptops use the camera to detect how bright it is outside so that it will automatically adjust the screen brightness for you. The True Tone setting won’t work either for the same exact reason. Of course you should take your privacy seriously and cover the camera if you feel you need to, just keep in mind that these features will stop working if you do. It’s also possible that your laptop may not shut tight enough for the laptop to detect that it’s closed. If that happens, you’ll run the risk of running your battery out quickly as the screen won’t turn off.

Do not use camera cover sliders. They tend to crack the screen for a lot of people. The MacBook unlike windows laptops doesn’t have little to no space when closed.
I use a black tiny round sticker instead of sliders.

@@turalshabanov7520 you dont need a webcam slider for the newer macbooks. the green light is in a closed circuit with the webcam so if it is powered so will the light be. this cannot be hacked either.

I have those usb-a to -c adapters from Anker and they’re a life saver. I have in my MacBook sleeve, so they’re always with the laptop. And with them I don’t see the need for a hub for myself.

Great Video. I have been looking for a dock to use since I received my M1 Macbook Pro and I like the Anker product line. This dock that you have in your video and linked to the product page on Amazon specifically states that it is not M1 Macbook Pro compatible. Does it have full functionality with your Macbook? I appreciate any information you can give. Thank you for your time.

In my opinion, that statement is for the first generation M1 macbook.
The new macbook pro with m1 Pro/Max chip allows multiple 4k screen displays at 60hz.

@@goofy5047 so, the anker 777 works well. I tried the 577, however for some reason the USB C port didn’t look as good as when connected to HDMI port.
The Anker 777 doesn’t give me this problem. It’s very good and worth the money if attempting to use two monitors. I use the USB C and HDMI Ports and both monitors behave as independent external displays.
I have yet to tried the two HDMI ports at the same time to confirm if it will mirror or behave as independent external displays.

I’d really like to know if they have decent passive noise isolation so I can still watch movies comfortably in traffic.
I have the Pros and I seriously don’t like the fit of these tips and the battery life when transparency mode is on.
I rarely even use Noise Cancellation cos it’s uncomfortable.

I am surprised almost nobody notices this, but mx keys mini are actually not an aluminium. I expected aluminium after switching from my long loong old magic keyboard because of quick switch feature and was kinda dissapointed.

What's the point of webcam covers? If the green LED light is off, the webcam is off, simple! And for those who say it's possible for the webcam to be on but the light to be off (I don't see how), it doesn't matter. Your laptop has a microphone and it's possible to construct of an image of yourself simply from reverberations picked up from the microphone. So unless you physically remove the microphone and the webcam I don't see how you can be 100% safe!

I have the same mouse and connect it to 2 Pc's any my MacBook Pro via Bluetooth and don't even use the dongle. An awesome mouse.
