Good video. Yeah, did he deserve to get dq'd? Maybe, he did break the rules. From where I sit Zaldain needs to be punished as well. He broke the Sportsmanship and AOC. Guess that only matters if your not one of the "boys". If he was one of the rookies we would never hear the end of it.
Rules or rules if I'm fishing DNR catches me breaking rules. I have to pay one heck of a fine usually. So why is it different for other people on rules?
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Dude, with my lack of mobility and my wife being on the shelf... you have no idea how hard this was to manage. I felt 50° cooler getting off all the hair on my head and my face! My back regretted it though! Thank you for the kind words and I'm so glad you stuck around! It's great to have you here! 💯😁👊
They shud have told him he gets one less day to practice. Zaldain's actions are detrimental to the sport and shows how this elitist path is causing the decline of pro Bass fishing . Ray Scott is turning in his grave. Zaldain deserves a 1 year suspension!
@@cerebraltackleno one would want one less day of recent practice over one extra weeks ago practice. I like the thought… or even make him go cold turkey with no practice. The rules committee should have something to think about for next year. I do believe the rules should be held strictly. Je
@@easonterra You're right, to a degree. However, that's less teeth in the end. That basically allows them to set their own schedule. In addition, it RELIES on self-reporting what's 98% of the field has proven they're incapable of. Have the chance to make money at a private gig 2 days before the tournament? Easy, just get a day in the WEEK before. See what I mean? Where is the cutoff?
@@cerebraltackle the cutoff would be when it is flagrant vs. mistaken. But regardless he broke the rules. I am proud of Koby for being honest. Back in the 90’s I would say 80-90% of the field would have been honest about it. It is sad to see you feel way less would be honest about it today. I do see a trend with state level tournaments having more people cheat. I would hope the Pro’s (an oxymoron) would keep it classy.
@@easonterra you're absolutely right. Back in the day this wouldn't be nearly as much of an issue. That goes for professionals and for club level guys. But now, having this channel...my mind is changing. Don't get me wrong, most of the field is comprised of good guys. Most of them are honest. I probably over stated the percentages. Still - there's so much crap that it's hard not to become jaded.
@@cerebraltackle not a club we are talking the Elites and to have a fellow Elite not fishing is bs. To be honest should be no off limits or no practice, B.A.S.S needs to make up their minds. I'm in the camp of zero practice, just show up and fish.
@@rickvann3489you're missing my point. Only clubs get a vote. You cannot run a professional trail, or any trail 0:01 at all like a club. Anglers don't get to vote. There's a tournament of director who sets the rules and that's it. MLF tried this strategy and they're failing miserably! I have ran a club. I would know. 🤣
Well he broke the rules fessed up....Zaldain broke the rules on another level. He shoulda been DQed at least 3 tournaments to send a message his crap is not acceptable!

Ehh, I agree with everything but the punishment for Koby. You can't set that precedent. Then everyone will be breaking the rules.

The other competitors should have a vote on this situation to let him fish or not. Simple mistake.
Trails can't be ran as clubs...looknat how that worked out for MLF. 🤣

Abso-f'n-lutely!
All these pros seek out locals and guides for lake information. There should be NO practice days, unlock the lake during the tournament!
