      You watch it happen all the time. You just need someone to label it for you, and you need to be thinking about it. If he didn't label it as grief, and make you think about it: You'd still think you never saw it happen. Edit: That isn't to say that it's a social construct, to be clear. It's the same with anything else: If we aren't paying attention to it; odds are we won't realize it's there.

    For people who are curious, if you do the same moves everytime, the bot also responds the same way, so you only have to beat it once, write down the moves and then play the bot again doing the exact same moves as premoves. Although i don’t think this is a particularly interesting feat, at least you got his reaction.

    • @drspoof7805

    Actually I’m pretty sure he didn’t care actually. It’s not him who code it and I believe the bot has nothing in common with his game style. The name is just a brand - they paid him to use it. His reactions are funny though - that is why he is so popular.

  • @frederickroy7039
    @frederickroy7039 4 роки тому +63

    Gotham is soooo next level with this reaction. Clearly overreacting to give you views. What a bro. Everyone knows the bots always play the same lines, Levy included. Just have to pick one that wins and not too long and memorize it, or write on a second screen.

    This would have been a good Turing test experiment thing _if..._ you had (1) beat Levy's bot with premoves only, and had then, _before informing Levy of this development,_ (2) challenged Levy himself to a game and proceeded to play against him with all of the same premoves you used against the bot.
    But you didn't, and all is lost.

    • @michaellin4553
      @michaellin4553 2 роки тому +14

      1. Load stockfish
      2. Beat the bot, record the PGN
      3. Start over
      4. Use the exact same moves, just premove them instead

    • @wingdinggaster6737
      @wingdinggaster6737 Рік тому +1

      I think the bot is coded using seeds, meaning the seed is what determines its moves on any board state, and a new seed is generated when you refresh the page, so as long as you dont refresh and enter the same board states in the same order, it will play the same game

    I've noticed that bots will have certain repetitions that they will start doing if you play against them without fully refreshing.
    So if you keep rematching multiple times, some bots will stick with certain lines and responses that they keep doing. Until you reset the bot (and thus the engine they are using) you can technically enjoy a really fun premove win from just a lot of trial and error.
    Not saying this is what happened here, but I've done this with two or three of the mid/lower rated bots before, and I'm honestly trash compared to anyone related to this video.
