Ride with us on the Cinque Terre Ferry

The ferry is the best way to see the towns! This time we went to Riomaggiore and Manarola. The video shows where to sit to get the best views. We also went to Nessum Dorma, the best place to see the sunset in Manarola. There is a lookout point next to Nessum Dorma that gives you the same view without eating pounds of tapas.

Very nice and informative video. I have a question or two. Did you take the ferry from La Spezia? If you did, do you have to transfer at Porto Venere? I asked because our cruise ship gets into La Spezia and we are about a 10 minute walk to the La Spezia ferry terminal. It would be nice if we do not have to transfer through a different ferry from Porto Venere

Thank you for watching our video! We chartered a private yacht (cinqueterreboat.com which we encourage) but the ferry will work also. Porto Venere is a flat version of the Cinque Terre and a great location to walk and get the ocean vibe of Italy. La Spezia has an Italian feel to it, but it is a big(er) city. You can spend the whole day in La Spezia but if you can take a ferry to Porto Venere then do it. It is a very different atmosphere.
