What an interesting coastline, extraordinary "hanging" architecture. Good to see Diana still lighting candles for us all - and to see that we are not the only place that gets extreme weather! One to go back to when the sun is shining maybe?
Grazie very Good video!
Mille grazie for this !! Hugs from Stockholm,Sweden /Svezia,we will travel to Levanto when I win money :-)
Fascinating.
We lived near there for 3 months 23 years ago. We drove along that coast, but I think we should have done the ferry ride!
Nice video. From La Spezia, do you have to transfer to a different ferry at Porto Venere? I ask because our cruise ship is within a 10 minute walk to the La Spezia ferry terminal so it would be nice if we don't have to transfer to a different ferry.
No, that ferry I took from LS only stopped at PV before continuing to the other terminals so I didn’t have to change.
@@Cornishpastyman thank you. I plan to get off at PV too but I also want to get on and continue to see Cinque Terre.
How long is your ferry ride back from Cinque Terre to LS?
@@NLMusique it was a filthy day so I don’t think I would have come back by ferry even if it were an option because this was a cruise ship day and it would take too long, so we came home by train. I don’t know how long that took but am guessing c 30 mins.
@@Cornishpastyman thank you. I read that from monterosso to LS is 2 hours
how much for the ride?
The most expensive ticket (La Spezia - Monterrosso) return is €35 in 2018 but the exact cost depends on how far you want to go and whether you want to return by ferry. We just bought a single journey ticket as far as Vernazza for about €15 in 2014 and caught the train back (very cheap).
