I love how you can access Cinque Terre by the local trains!! Staying here for a night or two is way better than rushing during a day trip!! The hardest part of traveling to Italy is deciding where to go!!! It is all so beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing this video!!!
Both of you are gracious, humble, kind, genuine, gorgeous, fun-loving, light-hearted, and optimistic. I love your style, positivity, humility, humour, and kindness. I would truly love to be friends with you, because you are my kind of people. From the bottom of my heart, I love you so much and keep exploring new countries around the world.♥️♥️😍😍💖💖😇😇
I’m obsessed with the colors of the buildings! That’s honestly one of my favorite things about moving to Florida too is that houses are actually colors here… 😂
That's awesome! Thank you for sharing! I'm planning a trip to Italy too. Do you mind sharing where do you guys bought the ticket from Florence to Cinque Terre and back? Thanks!
Hi! We used omio.com. We did Florence Santa Maria Novella - La Spezia Centrale. Omio is the same price and was a bit easier to use with a US credit card!
Hi, thanks for your helpful movie! I'm planning a 3-day trip to Florence and want to dedicate one day for either Cinque Terre or Venice. Which one would you recommend for a day trip from Florence?
Yes we just took the trains! And we used the train schedule and it was pretty accurate. So we’d time leaving the town with enough time to make it to the station (usually like 5-10 mins) There was only one delay and it was only like 5 minutes or so!
Hello, I have a few questions.. So, 1. Which city is best to stay in if I have a family with 1 kid and am worried about carrying luggage after getting off the train? It sounds like Monteressso is the one, but can you confirm? 2. To take some of those pictures from the cliffside where the colored houses are in background, do I need the hiking pass? 3. Which city would still be the most stroller friendly ? I'm thinking I may not be able to cover all the cities and this may determine where I go 4. Do you have any information the ferries? would that be a better way to experience cinque de terre if i dont think i can carry my kid everywhere 5. Lastly, I am still conflicted between Amalfi and Cinque de terre.. If you have been to amalfi, which one would you recommend between the two? My main constraint is mobility. I want to make sure that I can cover as much ground given i'm travelling with a family
Amalfi coast is enchanting, taking a boat trip is the way to go, there are two trips available they drop you off in Capri, Positano, pick you up in fours hours take you swimming they offer sandwiches plenty of water all included in the price. The view is magical.
Going there next month… driving to La Spezia from Siena… is it really worth the day trip? Which restaurant is that in Florence? We’re also visiting there for e few days! Mahalo
I think it is if you've already seen the things in the area! And I'm not sure, it's on Borgo San Lorenzo. That's the best my location tag will pull up haha
Thank you! That’s a super tough question haha. I think they both have different things to offer. If you want to swim on the beach, Cinque Terre, if you want activities I’d go with the Amalfi coast! They’re both extremely crowded but it’s easier to find quiet spots in Cinque terre.
@@AshleyandChristian Thank you! For me it is not about swimming and beach, it is more about enjoying the nature and beautiful villages. I plan to go to Amalfi coast in September, hope it will be a little bit less crowded :)
Thank you for the video. When you give off the train from Manarola to La Spezia, how long does it take to walk to the platform to take the train from La Spezia to Florence?
I want to go there so badly but is going for the day worth it and can you see everything ??!! It seems kinda rushed. Wouldn’t it be better to spend 2-4 days there and jump from town to town to really enjoy and soak in the views and life there ??!! 🤨😬
No we definitely recommend at least 1-2 overnights! We actually mention that at the end of the video. I (Ashley) have been there before, so we just didn't stay longer this time due to time.
That is totally up to what you want to see! We thought it was a good choice, but we had been to Florence before and had seen a lot of the museums and things to see in Florence.
@@AshleyandChristian August? Oh lordy! I felt that heat as y'all were walking along and started worrying. I feel like I personally would be okay BUT I'm traveling with some "indoor folk." So, I found out last night that the other couple we're traveling with want to go on a boat between the villages. I dunno. I was looking forward to the hike and will probably do that regardless. Supposing my husband decides to ride the boat with them, do you think this walk is busy enough/visible enough so as to be safe for me to walk alone? Would you walk or boat if/when you go back?
@pipdippitydoooo1158 I think the walk would be very doable during early/late spring! I would love to do that entire hike, but it was borderline dangerous when we were there due to heat 😂
About 10 mins to Riomaggiore! We just went to the furthest away town first. I’m going to look back at some pics and stuff and try and see where we went for dinner. We usually say where we’re at but must’ve been too hungry to think about that haha

Sorry typo, commute time
ahh this is so helpful! so you just took trains between each town? how long did you have to wait for them to arrive / was that annoying at all?

When did you make this trip, what time of the year? I am traveling this year in June approx. and I am very afraid of mass tourism.
August! I think it's very hard to avoid crowds in Italy during the summer, it's a very very popular destination
Thank you for the video. When you give off the train from Manarola to La Spezia, how long does it take to walk to the platform to take the train from La Spezia to Florence?
I believe it was just a couple minutes! Across a few platforms

Were you able to fly your own drone or b roll from elsewhere?
we flew our own drone with permission from the local authorities!
Hello! If I have ONLY two full days in Florence, would it be smart to spend one of them by going to Cinque Terre? I’m leaning towards doing it
That is totally up to what you want to see! We thought it was a good choice, but we had been to Florence before and had seen a lot of the museums and things to see in Florence.

How long is the train ride from La Spezia to Cinque Terre (what's the first stop?)
Also, Where did you go for dinner?

I found it! Trattoria Mamma Gina
Did you book a train ticket from Florence directly to Cinq Terre? Or Florence to La spezia, then went to purchase another ticket to Cinq Terre?
To La Spezia first!
What month was that?
August!
The colourful buildings aren't as good in reality as they appear on videos.
Depends who you are I thought they were fuckin mad lol

Definitely Cinque Terre! It's a good day trip. A day trip to Tuscany to do a Chianti wine tour would also be a good idea, we did that as well!
Do you see things from train between the towns? Which side seat will be nice to see some views?
