@@kevinnarron436 thank you and thanks for watching. I love old military surplus gear and have a little bit of a kit addiction lol. I just actually finished up trying it out in the field and going to get the video up later this week. It performed very well for my use and was pretty comfortable.
@@fattiewestside yes I definitely am going to add some. I am going to down size the shock cord first. Thanks for the suggestion I like them. I will check out your videos.
@@joshuaconklin4885 thanks man I am glad you liked it. I really enjoyed setting the rig up and just put one up trying it out. I think you will probably enjoy the rig
I’d really appreciate links to the the buckles and such. Actually everything. This looks perfect for keeping in the trunk of a car on long trips and I really like finding ways use paracord for everything possible.
For my chest riggs and plate carriers, I bought the plain chest riggs and plate carriers and added mag holders with shock cords, dump bag, pistol holster, canteen, com holder,IFAK, etc. All my chest riggs and plate carriers have six rifle mags, three pistol mags, canteen or water bladder, com, pistol, IFAK, dump bag, etc. My riggs and carriers will not fit 48" waist or bigger without modification.
@@Synergy7Studios so there is a small band or strap inside the top of the radio pouch that the waist band clip on the holster will attach to. The pouch itself is kind of small so it’s a tight fit to get it down inside it. Once you get it in it’s actually kind of hard to get out to change to another holster. I just finished trying it out in the woods. Going to get the video up later this week. It did very well.
@@firstimeshooter6590 I have never laid hands on the ATAP. They look super nice and the suspension looks like it would be more comfortable. I think they are quite a bit more expensive and not as plentiful. It would probably depend on how much gear you wanted to carry on it. As you could see from my video when you start adding your pouches you run out of real estate pretty quick. I wish I could help you out with that decision but I am a lot like you and go back and forth a lot before I decide on some of my gear. Let me know or see what you decide to go with.
@ yeah looking at it now the ataps doesn’t look a bit more cramped once loaded. But was considering it because seems it would be easier to don and doff. I think I still will get the taps. It’s cheap and I can find them almost anywhere. It was just hard for me to pick because I’ve never had one and don’t know anyone with one for me to try out.
@@firstimeshooter6590 yeah. I really like the price and the ability of the taps. Let me know how you like it when you get it set up. I am going to do a video soon on trying mine out in the woods and see what I like and don’t like about it.
This is dope, very ingenious.

You definitely want to add some pull tabs to the shock cord mag retainers.
I love my TAPS, I have videos on it too. It's my go to rig.

Man what a great video! Awesome setup brother! I just picked one of these up to modify in a very similar way, so this was a great inspiration.

I love TAPS mods. If you add a little velcro to the back of your holster it will remove the play in the draw.

That is the chest rig that I ordered and used the straps and buckles on the Tap panel build. Then used the pouch for an admin pouch on it
