    I can understand the judge wanting to disqualify himself. The defendant was always not following the judges requests...the defendant was trying my patience too.

      I do believe the judge on the Delphi case needs to recuse herself because of her bond with the family of the victims. Emotions could cloud her judgement and not allow her to be impartial in her ruling.

    Excellent decision of this judge. Actually he is NOT qualified. He let the defendant run the entire trial.

      What you are saying karma is b*******. Whether you thought it was smart for that guy to defend himself and be his own lawyer in his case, he wasn't disruptive or disrespectful.
      He did exactly what a lawyer, is to do. He brought in doubt, and there was doubt in this case.

      ​@@doaver2.125are you sure that you watched this trial because Tucker was extremely disrespectful. He was late almost every day, he cut the judge off when he was speaking and when the judge issued an order he argued with him. Any lawyer who behaved like that would definitely have been sanctioned. Although he thought it, Tucker was not the smartest person in the room.

      @@Ilene.sI have been in court where I was the victim of a crime and the defense lawyer flat out did not show up. Instead of proceeding without him or later sanctioning him, the judge did NOTHING. In fact he just said oh well, you can all come back tomorrow!
      For a victim, this just adds extra trauma!
      The next day the defense lawyer showed up and he and the judge were LAUGHING about it and making jokes about playing golf together. Good old boy network! Disgusting!

    *He had ZERO control!! Allowed the defendant to come to court 30 min late for an entire week. That Zoom call in front of the jury was egregious!! Tucker walked around with a mic like he was giving a Ted talk. Horrible decision making as a Referee!! 11-1 Guilty verdict. He called a mistrial after only two days… 11-1!!! 2 DAYS!! That should have been at least 4 day deliberation. 11-1 lol*

      @@JustMe-px9qy11-1 lol Tucker told people it was 9-3 but the report came out earlier this week that it was 11-1. Supposedly that ridiculous unhinged Zoom call was the reason for the 1 not guilty. Smh Zoom call that should have never happened!

      @@WilliamDaguehe was late every day for 5 days straight. The first 2 he was at the “Records building” the 3rd he said he was at the hospital getting his “witness situated because she's dying” and the last two days were uber issues. He was only threatened with contempt for only two of those days. Go back and watch the trial. He was late every day. And the judge was lost! He was so scared of messing up because Tucker was Pro Se he allowed any and everything smh

    GOOD - I watched this trial and felt like I was watching a circus half the time!! The Judge was ridiculous and over allowed the defendant to out step his bounds that no represented defendant would have been allowed!!

      Agree. Tucker's persistent lateness, his wandering around the court, that Zoom testimony from a dying woman on morphine, with Tucker coaching her throughout the testimony; "You're doing great, Paula". The judge should have put his foot down as soon as the defendant started taking liberties. It wasn't until the trial was coming to an end that the judge finally grew a pair.

      I think the judge was playing It too safe so Tyrone Fucker couldn't say he wanted a retrial cause the Judge was mean😢 The juror was probably paid off like Paula was, to help the murderer.

      He should be told before the next trial to not smile or make eye contact with a particular juror. It was so obvious throughout the trial he was looking at one particular juror, trying to make a connection. What a conman.

Just ask Marcia Clark -- The OJ Jury evidently didn’t like her. They thought she was a B--. And looked what happened -- She WON, and OJ was found GUILTY of merking Nicole and Ron Goldman, and he was sentenced to 90 years in Prison. You are 100% RIGHT -- No Attorney should ever look at any of The Jurors.

    I actually think the judge is recusing himself as he 1. Gave the defendant way too much time to talk. The judge actually seemed to help the defendant sometimes. 2. He doesnt want to have to be that patient again. Good for the judge no matter the reason.

    The judge did a very admirable job of giving both the defendant and prosecution a fair trial. Tucker repeatedly attempted to goad the judge into violating his rights. Now the judge wants, in deference to justice, to foreclose Tucker’s machinations to claim that the judge just hated him all along.

      Her testimony didn't help his defense one bit plus now Tucker doesn't have to pay for her anymore which I'm sure he's happy about. The picture of the two of them on her hospital bed gave the game away for anyone with a brain. Apparently that included 11 members of the jury.

      It’s allowed and in this case it’s correct. Tucker had threatened to file a motion to have him recused. He also accused the judge of being “mad at him” so yes it was a smart thing to do

      I imagine that the judge, having heard the last trial is probably sure that Tucker is guilty and no matter how much I dislike the defendant, even scumbags deserve a fair trial.

      @@Ilene.s I don't get your point. Most defendants are guilty simply because prosecutors don't bring cases they don't think they can't win. Can a judge or attorney recuse themselves from any case where they think the defendant is guilty?
      If every judge or attorney did that, then no one would hear or defend the cases where the defendant was guilty and they DO deserve their day in court.

    With Paula's unfortunate passing... it would only seem fair for Franklin's next jury to find it essential to base their decision of defendant's fate... on the basis of assumption that Paula would've presented ace testimony in support of Franklin's innocence had she been physically present inside the courtroom, being that the defendant has to be found proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt as part of them being granted the benefit of the doubt.

    Glad he disqualified himself! Hopefully the new judge in the next trial will not be as lenient with Tucker’s antics! There’s no excuse for being late! No need for him to walk around the courtroom with a mic…stand at the podium! Tucker isn’t going to like it being held accountable!

    That is the best decision, the judge had no control over Tucker, he thought he was on a talk show, bring on the next judge and make he/she more competent and stricter than the first one, I bet old Tucks is unhappy about this decision 😂

    With respect I followed the whole trial and it was embarrassing. I’m looking forward to the retrial simply because of the narcissism shown by the defendant, he constantly spoke over and argued with the judge. Turning up late also, Tucker in my opinion is guilty as for another evidence to prove that fact beyond a reasonable doubt, that’s a totally different thing. Love Court TV, especially Vinnie he is one class act! 👍🏼❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧

      My Dude, This Defendant could have pled guilty for time served, but turned it down. He would have Zero Additional Time. What GUILTY PERSON would turn that down? He could have just walked away.
      The only person who would RISK YEARS AND YEARS IN PRISON would be an innocent person. There would be NO MOTIVATION TO FIGHT unless you’re INNOCENT.
      IE: A Guilty Plea with no additional time served would be EASY --- The only reason to turn it down is if you’re INNOCENT.

A narcissist like Tucker who knows that he will lose his gravy train if he admits guilt would definitely take it to trial and be his own lawyer. Tucker thinks he's the smartest person in the room and he's confident that he can make people believe him so that's the exact type of person who would turn down a plea and take it to trial. As long as he can be in control it's exactly the kind of stage he likes to perform on. One where everyone is watching the Tucker Show.

      @@Ilene.s I disagree. He's innocent and he's doing it for the sake of his reputation and for what is right. He could easily plead guilty and not have to serve any more time. He could hire an attorney and have a much better job done at proving his innocence but it's just so obvious he is innocent that he shouldn't need to hire anybody. It's just ridiculous people think there is not enough reasonable doubt here and want to find him guilty.

      What? The judge request has nothing to do with what you're saying. He's probably aware he didnt job a good job on controlling the court. This doesnt diminishes Tucker's job on defending himself though.

    The State needs to give up and let him be free. They already offered him time served. The surviving victim says he didnt do it. States only real evidence is the testimony of a crackhead that they gave a plea deal to. What a stupid case. State needs to focus resources elsewhere
