I get to know about vanguard back in primary school around 8 years ago when I watched my secondary schooler friends playing it. They were using Narukami, Royal Paladin, Kagero, and Megacolony deck. But then there is one deck I fell in love with when they got the new deck, Link Joker 😍 Somehow I still remember about CF Vanguard until now.
When you watch in 2017 but still notice a misplay :P. (Kagero player should have retired Blaster Blade's booster, not Alfred's, since Alfred can still hit the VG unboosted unlike Blaster Blade). Watching as a throwback to the old days (and I've been playing since day 1). Though I prefer the game's current state. More interesting, imo.

I am going to be getting my first trial deck this friday when I get paid. I been wanting to play this for a while and this video really showed me how to play just by visually watching it, along with the anime :) Great video!
For Novas, I use Mr. Invincible Soul Charge/Asura Stand. My deck takes full advantage of standing and soul charging for the final hit. What's happening this weekend/next?? Beast Deities are cool, but I prefer the old style Novas. Jewel Knights will be sweet, But I'm not excited since I love my Deck the way it is, But i'll build a separate Royals for Jewel Knights.
Oh, the Sneak Peek for the two new Extra Boosters are this weekend (unless I read that wrong, and will be very disappointed on Saturday), with their OFFICIAL release being Sept. 6 :) What do you do about G3s in such a deck? I've read most people using Asura Kaiser go up to 12 G3s just to ensure the skill goes off. Also, are there any other Soul-Charge cards besides just relying on Invincible's skill?

Lol sorry man. The Paladin clan is a great one to build on because its in almost every set. Kagero is only in sets 1-3 I believe because the clan was taken out in the anime after season 1. Narukamis are REALLY good and are in most sets after set 4. I myself want to get every booster box and do unboxings. I am getting my HD camcorder in about a week or so. So then I will start having unboxing videos and cardfights and showing the current deck builds I have and more. Keep in touch :)
how i miss this kinda fight from VG, but if i'm that kagero user i will call berserk and retire gallatin ,kinara to destroy the booster,and use berserk to atk blaster blade ,it should be an easy fight for him since RG is royal's power source ,making them exhaust either the field or the hand should be priority
This game sucks. It's just the same couple moves with cards and moving into support with some other cards. The strats seem very simplistic and repetitive. Although this concept is FAR more balance than yu-gi-oh, pokemon and MTG. This concept seems pretty hard to power creep though.
Why was he flicking his cards on the playmat a few times? Can't he just pick up a card and put it into his hand without touching the playmat for no reason with the card? (The "Triggur" guy is who I talk about.)
When he called Alfred to the rear guard he should have ridden it instead and used his counter blast to call a grade 2. Then he would have had a stronger vanguard plus a second intercept.
You guys don't even know the abilities 1. If you use The berserk dragons counter blast you can ritire a grade 2 or less you choose marron ok. But why would you attack gallatin after that? 2. When you use a P guard the vanguard can not be attacked until end of turn. So attacking after that isn't possible
1. He used Berserk Dragon's skill to retire a Grade 1 which is a boost and attacked Gallatin with a certain amount of power enough to be guarded by a 5000 guard point meaning he can remove the whole column while reducing power of a certain unit and by reducing power I mean instead of attacking the Vanguard he can guard a draw trigger instead of intercepting a strong unit 2. A Perfect Guard or a P Guard can only guard one attack and you can still attack with standing units after an attack has been guarded by a perfect guard. Clearly you do not know Cardfight Vanguard yet
I got the Kagero trial deck and almost have it finished being built to how I like it. I just need perfect guards and some limit breaks of overlord. I also just recently bought the trial deck for Aqua Force and I have the Blue Storm Armada booster box being shipped to me after or on May 3rd, 2013 so I can try to make it stronger. Once I am done with both of those decks I may go with Royal or Gold Paladins or Narukamis. My girlfriend runs Narukamis and always gives me a challenge with them :)

irongut12345,it's not a pointless thing to do because you can power up your vanguard by drawing triggers thus making it stronger.And drawing a heal trigger by recovering one point and taking another means taking no damage and that his attack was wasted.And about standing,if you have ever fought against megacolony you should know why it is usefull during the battle phase.So technically,there are tons of uses of drawing triggers during damage step only you don't know it.
where is the enthusiasm, you make vanguard seem so boring there are no intense vocals of any sort in here. it's what makes the series so beautiful with epic moments but here you blank it out!
I agree with Barcgal being banned from competitive battling. But what about Fullbau? Y'know, the Barcgal for Shadow Paladins? Look, if you're lucky enough to have a Blaster Javelin in your hand, then you can Ride it. If you Ride Blaster Javelin with Fullbau, Fullbau's Ability will activate. It can let you search your deck for Blaster Dark and you can Superior Ride. That's two consecutive Rides! If only Fullbau had an EXTRA Ability. Like, say, moving Fullbau to the Rearguard...
I'm sticking with 8. 12 is too much. I run 3 Invincible, 2 Asura, 2, Lion Heat, and 1 Gold Rutile. There is the Critical Trigger Red lightning. He's skill is he goes into soul and flip over 1 damage.
Royals are good. NO MAJESTY LORD BLASTER. Soo Over Rated. Nova Grapplers are great and fun. Those are my 2 preferred Clans. And Angel Feathers are sweet as well.
Get your facts straight before posting. Alfred cannot be boosted if he's in THE VANGUARD CIRCLE. He can be boosted if he's in the front rear guard circle.

Why did fatal trigger keep saying he will give his damage trigger effects to the rear guard even tho its only the vanguard that is getting attacked. like earlier in the vid when he had a nehallem supported by bahr. he gave the 5000 to bahr even tho its the vanguard thts supposed to get the boost.
ur a pain dude. both effects say he can counter blast to retire a rearuard. effect one say u can retire any rearguard when hes placed on a vanguard circle, and effect says he can retire a grade 2 or hgher if place on a rearguard circle. i dont see how u can make tht mistake. pay attention next time or better yet, know ur cards.

i didnt said yugioh is boring i love it :/... meta game is, evey deck is the same. Is my opinion anyways, i did played agaisnt meta a lot but i get bored of all same decks but people seems good with that, thats why i quited :P. Vanguard is a lot LOT more balanced, but is starting so yeah xd
it has been anouced barcgal effect is temporary unused in tournaments so that people would spread out of royal paladin to other deck it will never be banned since the futureknight effest isn't over and needs him

do you not know how to read or something? blaster blade retires anything when rided as a vanguard. when blaster blade is called as a rearguard his counterblast retires a unit grade 2 or higher.

Read King of Knights, Alfred carefully and you'll see that he cannot be boosted while on the Vanguard Circle not Rearguard Circle.

Sorry but you can't. Blaster Blade's superior ride is during the main phase witch is after the ride phase.

The u U and D are for the state of the damage zone. The U means face up cards you can use for counterblasts while D is for face down cards.

It's not a guarantee you can get Javelin in your opening hand. Unlike Barcgal, in that practically any Grade 1 gives a cheap superior ride.

It's not custom. It's an official mat. Same as the Red one. They are tough to find though.
